“Ripplewood Whiskey REALLY impressed me. The food is not only creative and unique - it’s insanely delicious. I ordered their take on fish & chips: sesame-crusted cod with a miso caramel glaze, paired with garlic creamed kale (I never realized kale could taste this good) and purple sweet potatoes. It’s the kind of dish where everything just makes sense together and I legitimately can't stop thinking about it.

It's really noisy and space is tight, and every once in a while I meet someone new for an interesting conversation. “In all fairness, it’s been years since I’ve been there however, when I did go with my wife it was an awesome experience. I had my most favorite drink that I have ever experienced there. It was a vanilla-raisin old fashioned. I enjoyed it so much I have re-created it to the best of my ability many times over. You will love this place!“

“My wife and I came here for our date night Friday for half price pasta happy hour. We were greeted at the door by owner Wyatt who was very welcoming and passionate about his menu. He suggested the hen which came out sizzling with a crisp skin that bursted into a juicy body when I cut into it.
My wife and I split two pasta dishes which were perfect portions to share. We also got a cheese plate and some fun mocktails on our server’s recommendation. All the staff was working together and we had a great time sharing in all the goodies.

Then we had the Brisket Sandwich and my husband had the Buffalo Wings. The Brisket Sandwich was amazing...so incredibly tender, lots of flavor, completely falls apart with each bite. “Perfect cosy neighborhood place! The gingerbread cocktail was probably the best cocktail I’ve ever had. It was absolutely scrumptious. We ordered half the menu and shared everything, and there was not a single miss. The pastrami egg rolls were my personal favorite, but I need to go back to try the burger. “I am a regular at Spin Philadelphia. I usually go and have a very good time. I enjoy the food, drinks, and the atmosphere. I recently had a situation where someone asked security to deal with me. I was upset and started acting up because I was being wrongfully accused. Even though my night was going bad, I felt better because of the way I was treated by some staff. The security guy with the bandana and the front desk ping pong player were very nice to me. They heard me out, showed me respect, and were very understanding of the situation. They assured me that I was welcomed back anytime. I really appreciated that. Thank you.“

“Had to check out STATIC! as soon as it opened since Next of Kin is one of my favorite cocktail bars in the city.

The drinks are very similar to Next of Kin, the menu format is different though. Each page has a different type of cocktail and a corresponding theme to it. It’s a cute idea!

We sat at a table near the bar and the service was great. They were attentive and even gave us a free shot! Our drinks were tasty, my friend didn’t *love* his espresso martini but we still enjoyed it overall.

The thing that was difficult about this bar was they have floor to ceiling windows all along the front, so the openness caused the music and other patrons voices to echo and reflect. It was pretty loud in there. I also like when cocktail bars don’t have a lot of windows, to create a cozier feel. That’s just a personal preference.

“I didn’t even know it was open as I walked but until a patron said you should go in for a drink. I was very glad I did. If you are not put off by the fact this is primarily a local spot for folks from the neighbourhood then the other patrons and staff was friendly. Beer was $2.50 a bottle and a shot of Hennessy was $5. The shots look small to the eye but are measured with their auto dosing system. A great value night cap on the way back to my hotel.“

“We had a good, not great meal here. For the price (which was considerable) we were definitely expecting a bit more. The cocktails were great and the service great, the food was a bit underwhelming. We went with the tasting menu instead of a la carte and found the dishes good, but not anything particularly special. They were very accommodating with an allergy which was very nice. I'd like to try the bar menu but probably don't need another dining room experience.“

“My husband took me out to Philly for an early Mother’s Day gift. He said we were going to a “speakeasy” type bar in Chinatown but I didn’t believe him. When we got to an iron screen door, he was like this is it and I was like you got to be kidding me. The owner came out, asked my husband if he knew it was a cash bar took our ids then went inside. The owner brought back our ids then took us inside to a foyer where he told us the rules of the bar. Cash only, absolutely, no photography and no phones. If you need to take a phone call, you go back to foyer area or outside to not disturb people. We agreed to rules and went inside. The bar was dimly lit with candles on each table. The decor was amazing with pictures and antiques on the wall. We were sat at a table and given a cocktail menu. The cocktails were unique and separated by whiskey, gin, vodka and rum. If you need a light since it is so dim in the bar, they will bring you a light because they brought one to my husband. There were no beers on the menu so if that is what you’re looking for then this isn’t the place for you. We ordered our cocktails and they were amazing. Since there is no phone usage, you have more of an intimate experience with the person you are with because you aren’t distracted by your phone. We sat and talked while drinking our drinks. The owner came over and asked us about our drinks and how we were doing. We then ordered another round of drinks and continued talking. We enjoyed our time at Hop Sing Laundromat. Service was great, bartenders were great, owner was great, and the ambiance was amazing. This is a great date night spot for anyone who wants to enjoy a intimate setting with a cocktail or two. I would post pictures but again, No Photography so you would have to go in order to see it to believe it. You will enjoy this experience and not be disappointed.“

“I would love to give this restaurant 10+ stars. Never have I had such delicious food. Every mouthful of every dish was pure heaven! This was a birthday treat for my friend. We shared 6 small plates. I don't know which was THE best one. We started with drinks. He had the King Vidi and I the Shadowboxin. Both were expertly made. We then proceeded to enjoy Roasted oysters,Satsuma Mandarin salad, Tagliatelle, Foie Gras, Grilled Prawns and Grilled Broccoli. Every dish was spectacular and seasoned well. The accompanying sauces were smooth and velvety. We ended sharing a Chocolate Caramel Tart. My only issue was being seated next to the entrance where it was drafty whenever a new customer entered. I want to come back and try another selection of small plates. What a wonderful experience
