“I recently discovered a pastry shop that has quickly become one of my favorites! Their desserts are nothing short of perfection—perfectly sweetened, allowing all the flavors to shine through. In a world where it's hard to find such quality, this place stands out.

“My sweetheart and I went here on our second date. The original plan was to meet at Dead King Bread in Manyunk, and then hike in the Wissahickon. Dead King was closed, however, and my sweetheart quickly suggested Roma Cafe as an alternative. I'm ashamed to say that I never knew about this bakery. When I think of Italian bakeries, I typically think of South Philly. This is the real deal. An interior that harkens back to earlier times, and probably owners that harken back to an earlier time!

It was here that I discovered that my sweetheart is extravagant with treats, especially sweets. As a bit of a minimalst, I chose a rather bland biscuit. He chose an array of half a dozen treats, including canolies.

When we eventually made our way to the Wissahickon, we discovered that we had each packed more treats for the hike - cheese, grapes. He brought the most wonderful brie from Trader Joes that was as soft and gooey as if you had baked it in the oven. I noted with approval that he was equipped with a good picnic bag, as was I.

As we walked through the Wissahickon, I was captivated by his friendliness to everyone we passed on the trails, including the dogs.

This took away her ability to enjoy some of her favorite foods. We tried to find substitutes at the local grocery stores but nothing really took the place of her favorite baked goods. Finding you was a miracle! She loved your cookies, bread and Pumpkin Pie!! She looked forward to me bringing home her favorites and surprises like your pretzels and cinnamon buns each week. She just passed away a couple weeks ago but the memories of her enjoying your delicious treats will give me a smile every time I think about those times. My granddaughter daughter talked about Mochi donuts ? and booba teas.. we got so much, from donuts, smooties to hot cheeto corn dogs.. everything was delicious. “got a 6-pack, first time trying (had a gift card). i'd say it's worth the money if you're getting one cookie as a snack, or you're getting a pack for a sizeable group of people to share. both my wife and i tapped out after eating 1 cookie (chocolate chip - delicious), when at insomnia we'd usually eat 2-3 each for a dessert. if you don't like thicker cookies, these are not for you - though it has a cookie texture, they're almost like mini cakes. but again, if you're looking for a more filling cookie, i'd pay the extra $1 to get it over insomnia's.“

“Absolutely love this bakery! They offer handmade treats that you won’t just find at any grocery store bakery, but instead a real nice and upscale mini bakery. Their menu items often change, incorporating new and exciting ideas often. Some yummy ones that I tried are tiramisu, pavlova, caramel cheesecake, pumpkin cheesecake, fruit tarts, and more! They also offer unique beverages such as a hibiscus flavored lemonade and a minty sprite. Not to mention they also offer crepes which I have yet to try but I bet they’re delicious.“

I got a few things, including a box of mid-autumn festival mooncakes, which are absolutely amazing: delicate, filled with rich custard and a nicely blended egg-yolk paste. They didn’t have extra menus for me to take so I took photos of their current selection. There are a few tables there for you to enjoy your desserts on-site. Again, love the desserts, will be back to try different flavors!“

Second, I appreciate their business practices. Just yesterday, I ordered some cookies, and although they usually ship the next day, they weren't able to get into the shop due to the ice. I received a thoughtful phone call from a man named Mike. He informed me that they typically do not ship on Fridays, but given the inclement weather, they would be making an exception. Inside, I was surprised by the variety of baked goods, past the usual cupcakes and cookies. Multiple refrigerators house cheesecakes, cake cups, tiramisu, breakfast bakes, monkey bread, and more. We bought a seeded card (Mother's Day is around the distant corner) and a chocolate strawberry cheesecake. The strawberry cheesecake was dense and creamy with a crispy Oreo crust. “My mother & I came here for breakfast while we were waiting for my chinchilla to have a procedure done at the vet close by. Wow! We both had the Waldorf salad. I had mine on sourdough bread & she hers on a bed of lettuce with the tarragon chicken salad as well. Absolutely amazing. The chai latte was also great. I did not catch the barista’s name, but she was very helpful and friendly as well. All around great experience at the elegance cafe!“

“I’ve never had a Bundt cake until our neighbor brought one to us for Easter last year. I was hooked right away. This is my first time shopping at the Wayne store. I got a few cakes and a few bundtlettes and they staff was so super helpful. I didn’t preorder them but they attentively packaged everything and answered all of my questions. The cakes were a huge hit at home with my family and with my co workers for our monthly birthday celebration. I was completely thrilled with all the items I got and with the staff.
