“I stopped in Timmy D's for a recent take out lunch order and I wasn't disappointed. The woman who took my phone order was kind and patient. She answered all of my questions and took it easy on a first timer. When I arrived, I found plenty of private parking behind their building and I thought it was convenient that they have a back and front door. The inside was pretty spacious and clean. They have coolers with drinks. sides and a couple of chip racks. My order consisted of their famous chili (award winning according to their menu), a chicken cutlet on a toasted roll with spinach and sharp provolone and a cheesesteak. They told me the order would take 15 minutes and they were dead on with their estimate. Now to the tasty part, the Filet Mignon chili was outstanding. For me I enjoy a chili that isn't too thin, but not incredibly thick and theirs is right in the middle. Lots of flavor, small lean cuts of meat, soft white and red beans, touch of cheddar cheese, green onions and a peppery/spicy kick from the middle lingering into the finish. Sadly I went with a smaller portion, but I'd go back for some more in a heartbeat. The chicken cutlet sandwich was decent, the breading had a sweetness to it that was a little different, but that wasn't a terrible thing, the roll was fresh (they told me they use a baker that mimics Sarcone's seeded rolls) and the cheese could have been sharper but was acceptable. The cheesesteak was on the same seeded roll .... points to them for not giving me a soggy, drippy, greasy roll .... but the meat was dry so I suppose that dry roll came at a cost. It could have had more cheese mixed in with the chopped meat. It was a slightly above average cheesesteak in my humble opinion.Would I return to Timmy D's? Absolutely! Besides a return trip for the chili, I'd love to try one of their panini's "spicy ultimate" sandwiches or an Italian hoagie. Thanks guys!“

“I stumbled upon this restaurant for brunch and I was pleasantly surprised. Their portions are generous and the food is delicious. Their drinks are also a must if you like to pair a little bubbly with your brunch. I recall the staff being so kind and allowing my friends and I stay as long as we wanted without making us feel rushed. Great place with an eclectic feel!“

“With an ever-changing menu, I know that no matter what vegan dish I order from Primary it’s always going to be exciting and delicious. Many of the dishes have kept me up at night from the french toast to the cheesesteak and the jackfruit medianoche.Chef Mark has always been hospitable and attentive, and you can tell how much passion he has for his plates and his community. This restaurant is truly a gem in Philly and the team behind its magic deserve all the success. If you’re looking for a place to try, you cannot go wrong by visiting Primary.“

“We ate outdoors in front of the restaurant. Unfortunately, a millennial was shouting over his phone and broadcasting his call at the very next table over (why is it that people are too lazy to hold the phone next to their ears and feel compelled to share their conversations and music with the rest of us who don't care to listen to them?). Spoiled an otherwise excellent meal.“

“My family and I ate at this amazing restaurant! We happened to be in the area and stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. We were greeted nicely, the service was good and the food was delicious! We even met Richard who took the time to graciously explain the history and origin of the restaurant/ menu. The atmosphere was inviting and rich with culture. I would totally recommend Samarkand! If you are ready for a new and unique dinning experience this is the place for you!“

“My overall experience was good. I have been here 2x. The first visit was excellent, and I would give 5 stars. Unfortunately, my 2nd visit was not 5 stars. We made reservations as usual, but one person in our party wasn't able to make it. So they downgraded our seats to a circle booth table meant for 2 people. I was not happy but thought we drove far, so let's make it work. We ordered drinks, cornbread, and entrees. I ordered the short ribs. I asked if it was possible to substitute a side and was told no. Ok. I still ordered the ribs. Unfortunately, when it came out, it was fatty. I spoke with the waiter who spoke with the cook 2x. Finally, a new cut was offered, but by that time, I was unhappy. Even though my experience was not the best, I still tipped 20% because it's not the servers/waiters' fault.“

“We came across this place while we were in Philly last month,July. We were looking for a place to dine. It was our first time with Mediterranean cuisine. Positive ambience as soon as we walk in, our server ‘s name ELIF ( hope i remember it right)guided as through with menu selection and showed the best costumer service . I appreciated the complimentary bread and the hummus while waiting for the entree.I love the taste of it as freshly baked from the oven. Food portions are just right. The price is also decent. We concluded with a Turkey tea…it amazingly taste good. Will definitely visit this place again….to Elif, thank you very much.“

“Cafe La Maude in Philadelphia is a charming spot that blends French and Lebanese culinary traditions into a delightful brunch experience. With a 5-star rating, it’s praised for its flavorful and unique dishes, professional service, and the cozy ambiance that makes the wait worthwhile. The menu offers a mix of healthy options, and while the prices are a bit steep, the quality of the food is exceptional. It’s a place where you can enjoy a leisurely meal and feel the warmth of family history and culture in every bite.“

“The only thing that NEEDS to be said is the food here is outstanding. This is a fine dining type place but we found it on a whim and showed up in shorts and tshirts and were warmly welcomed and felt just fine. Few places put out food of this caliber…the quality and care is evident in every bite. Nothing in life is perfect but there wasn’t even the slightest miss in any dish we had. The geek in me loves hearing the stories about dishes and ingredients and learning more about Peruvian cuisine. We are on Sunday and it’s now Tuesday and I’ve been thinking about Geronimo’s ever since. I’ve have never had Chifa style cuisine that has impressed me in any way and their Lomo Saltado takes a basic quirky stir fry and somehow makes it a sublime experience. My son had the fried Aesop’s special and we were floored at how perfectly fried it was. Not at all greasy or heavy and the calamari and sea bass was tender and juicy. Short rib was butter tender and huge. I could obviously gush on and on but just go….the service was equally as phenomenal. Oh and the canchitas were awesome little snack and the Mebrillo compound butter they served with the bread was crazy good. Can’t. Wait. To. Go. Back.“

“Customer service was exceptional. Seating area was a bit small but everyone was so friendly and worked as a team. Honestly the best service I ever had. I went for restaurant week and ordered the shrimp creole. Omg I cleaned my plate and was still salivating over the idea of more when I got home. My partner ordered the crab soup and the salmon. Eyes rolled in the back of his head y’all. Everything was so well and for my first time they left a lasting impression. Would definitely dine here again. I’m just disappointed the shrimp creole isn’t on the regular menu.“

“Bought shrimp tacos, chicken tacos, esquites, chicken tacos and guacamole. The only downside is that the chicken tacos were made with dark chicken thigh meat, I wrongly assumed it would be chicken breast (my fault for not asking).Otherwise good decent food!“

“Nice date spot. We came on a whim as this was a recommendation from a local distillery. It was our anniversary and we happened to be visiting from LA. We sat at the bar and enjoyed a lovely meal with wine and ice cream.“

“We went on a Tuesday afternoon. I found a ♿️ spot close. The staff/owner are very helpful with menu and their service is gracious. We had appetizers then the platter for 2 that fed the 3 of use easily! ALL delish! Brought home deserts that were as enjoyable as our meal. From what I read on website the menu is slightly americanized. To my family it was perfect.“

“Everything looked so great on the menu. It was hard to choose! We tried something from all of the sections on the menus. The oysters with grapefruit mignonette was delicious! The oysters were shucked and cleaned beautifully. The quail was excellent. We also ordered the pasta and duck. Both were delicious! We capped off the meal with the chocolate torte which had a bit of honeycomb cookie. The servers and food runners were excellent. Our food runner in particular was very enthusiastic about our dishes. Also loved that there were Zero-Proof beverage options! The menu is a bit pricey, but we thought it was worth it. I would happily go back and try more dishes.“

“We came for lunch and it really hit the spot. A variety of oysters are on the menu and we had fun trying all of them. The grilled salmon salad was excellent, especially if you like arugula. The salmon was so wonderfully cooked, melty inside and nice char outside. The fries are also delicious.“

“Hadn't been in years but glad to have returned. Started with house white wine and a cocktail for hubby. Shared their Caesar salad, then we each had a pasta entre: ravioli with butternut squash and linguin with clams. Also shared a mushrooms side and foccacia. All the food was delicious! Ended with sharing a cannoli and a cappuccino. Overall great experience in a romantic setting (2-person booths in the lower level) with an our wonderful server Rachel.“

“We had a delicious and super fun dinner at Corey’s! The menu is extensive and they are happy to accommodate any dietary restriction or concern. Flavors were outstanding. I especially enjoyed the chicken curry dumplings and the shrimp vermicelli.Corey was just fantastic. We enjoyed getting to know him and his culinary background. He made us feel so much at home!We did sing some karaoke after our meal lol. We were closing down the shop and honestly it was a blast. I cannot recommend this place enough! For delicious and flavorful take out, call directly. Or come in person for a fun time. You won’t regret it!“

“came here for a friends birthday dinner last weekend - my friends and i had a great time! our server, Brazil, was attentive, kind, and helpful with answering our questions. entrees can be ordered on a spice level 1 to 5 but some dishes are naturally spicier than others so this doesn't always equate to exactly the spice level you expect. the fish moilee at spice level 2 was way spicier than paneer makhani at spice level 4. paneer makhani was good but could've been more flavorful. the paneer palak was our favorite dish. the paneer in both these dishes was some of the best i've had. samosas, garlic naan, and goat cheese naan were great. do be warned that 21% tip is automatically included for parties over 5. overall, the ambiance and service were 5/5. food was 4/5. not my favorite indian spot in philly, but very good nonetheless!“

“What an evening at Olea! Celebrating a graduation with close friends couldn't have been better than at Olea. The salmon was divine--light, buttery, with a perfectly crispy skin. The orange roughy was expertly cooked, harmonizing beautifully with the risotto and vegetables. Portions left us satisfied yet craving more. But the real star? The shrimp and fettuccine Alfredo stole the spotlight, disappearing faster than you can imagine--it wasn't just eaten, it was devoured!“
