“Riley K was the best server we’ve had at a restaurant in a while, we basically let him order for us and he hit it out of the park. It would be wise to request him if you can. His knowledge and passion for the food is exceptional. He certainly made the experience one to remember. The Dorade was amazing, the skirt steak also incredible. The brown sugar ice cream is 10/10. Not a single thing hit our table that we weren’t 100% impressed with. The after dinner drink he suggested was perfect. Monte negro or something I can’t remember but it’s wonderful. He will take care of you.“

“My girlfriend and I were both feeling like absolute sickness, and after a long, brutal day at work, a hot bowl of matzoh ball soup was sounding suspiciously like the only thing that could save us. Famous 4th Street came through, and then some. The GM, Kevin, went out of his way to deliver a bag of goods large enough to feed a small army. Matzoh balls the size of a doggo’s skull. Kugel slices the size of a phone book. The kind of Jewish deli generosity that makes you want to write a google review from your deathbed. “We dined here while visiting Philly for the weekend. We managed to walk in, but the restaurant is small and intimate so a reservation is probably best. It is also BYOB, so remember to bring a bottle of wine if you want something to drink.

The menu is clearly marked with gluten-free options, making ordering easy. Our server asked about allergies upfront and was confident handling the request when we noted my partner has Celiac (we mentioned it as a gluten allergy to the staff). We ordered the seared duck leg confit and the steak au poivre, and both were excellent. My partner had no symptoms the following day. We did not ask specific questions about shared kitchen space, but the clear labeling and great atmosphere made for an excellent dinner.“

“Too difficult to buy a cup of coffee here, the coffee ordering set up should be in the front, not the back and why is it so dark in the back? I want to like this place but it has no vibe…just the sight of staffers running around. The Hostess always looks bored and the back is like a madhouse. It’s one of the only places to get a cup of coffee ☕ near to Rittenhouse Park but where it’s well lit, it’s a quiet upscale grocery shop but the back feels like you’ve entered a subway station at rush hour!

Not sure what the remedy is but I’d suggest that you open up the front space, remove the annoying velvet rope and stop putting “reserved” signs on all of the tables (just sit people there who want to enjoy a cup of coffee for 15 minutes). This is a beautiful spot, but boy does it stress me out once you walk in the back.

Put on Italian music and hire some drop dead gorgeous guy or gal who knows how to convey ITALIAN WARMTH to customers!!! Every time I walk in the hostess is shy. She should be greeting guests and be IN FRONT, not planted at the podium.

The lunch special is a fantastic value and includes soup and a spring roll. We chose the miso soup, which we agreed is the most flavorful we've ever had. The staff are friendly and really helpful, and the food came out really fast - truly cooked to order. And, as if that weren't enough, the prices are incredibly reasonable. 10/10. The service was amazing throughout the meal, I wish I got the servers name as he was really an incredibly friendly young man who clearly knew the menu very well. “I’m obsessed! Found this bakery on too good to go & took a ride over (from jersey) I came home with 4 different flavors of the banana pudding & my 16 year old and I tried each one. I can’t even pick a favorite because they are all so good. The Magic flavor name makes complete sense when you take a bite because different flavors seem to magically appear in your mouth (peanut butter being the last to hit…) hard to explain but if you taste it, it will make sense! I got 2 large puddings in my order than bought 2 different small ones in different flavors & i regret not getting the 2 extra cups in large! Driving in Philly stresses me out but I’ve never wanted to drive back over there so bad! For more pudding! I will be recommending this bake shop to everyone! They were so friendly, helpful and attentive, the chef even came out with one of our dishes!
