“AMAZING HALAL STIR FRY!!!The food here always tastes fresh and flavorful! The bowls are really appetizing and they serve good portions! My family come here as well and they really enjoy themselves too! My personal favorite is the dry pepper steak.“
“We love going here when we are in the city. There are so many kinds of food to choose from if you want to eat right there. If you're looking for a butcher, check. If you're looking for fresh veggies and fruit, check. Everything from bakeries to restaurants and even some gift items and a florist stand! We got lattes at City Coffee before our daughter's college graduation so we were there pretty early around 9am. The line looked long but the employees were hustling to get everyone served and we really didn't wait too long. The terminal does get busy and there's alot to see so don't plan for it to be quick. If you park across the street and plan to be less than 3 hours get your parking ticket validated at the market for a discounted parking rate.“

“Amazing experience as always! Front-of-house staff was friendly, proactive, and deeply knowledgable about the menu (especially the food runners, which is not typical for all restaurants so was a great surprise here!). I always get something from their seasonal menu here, and their Mac & Cheese with Ramps was great (I will say that their ramps dish from last year was even better).“

“Lunch here was one of the best I’ve had in recent memory, and I can’t wait to return. We were delightfully surprised when given slices of truly magnificent fluffy, crusty bread and butter. Shrimp po’boy with homemade chips and poke bowl were undeniably fresh and flavorful, each a guaranteed reorder. Love how the shrimp were butterflied to keep the sandwich together. Do not skip dessert here because that means forgoing the carrot cake pie, and you need a slice of that goodness.“

“With an ever-changing menu, I know that no matter what vegan dish I order from Primary it’s always going to be exciting and delicious. Many of the dishes have kept me up at night from the french toast to the cheesesteak and the jackfruit medianoche.Chef Mark has always been hospitable and attentive, and you can tell how much passion he has for his plates and his community. This restaurant is truly a gem in Philly and the team behind its magic deserve all the success. If you’re looking for a place to try, you cannot go wrong by visiting Primary.“

“Delicious food and excellent flavor combinations. Much of the food is meat but I absolutely recommend for vegetarians. The cauliflower mezze was extremely well-flavored, the chickpea and eggplant mezze had fantastic texture, and the oyster mushroom kebab was one of my favorite dishes I’ve ever had.“

“The service was phenomenal. The food, delicious. Best italian restaurant in Philly, the closest thing I've seen so far to an authentic italian restaurant in Philly (I stayed in Italy for 6 weeks). We got the tiramisu and gelato, and we got the carbonara and pappardelle al ragù. All of it was just so good. I wanna come back again, but I need to save up for it because it was very pricey. But worth it.“

“Food was amazing, wish it came with a bit more meat but the pita/hummus/salatim was more than enough to fill you up. It was really off-putting at the end to get the bill and see that 20% service charge was added so that they could pay their staff and then even though it was 'optional', they asked for a tip on top of that.“

“Took a friend out for lunch for her birthday. We shared the shrimp and crab roll and I got the Pad Khing with tofu, and opted for the soup. My friend got the green curry with tofu. Everything was delicious! Next time I’ll ask for more spice. Great lunch price point as well.Vegetarian options: You can get tofu with any dish as the protein.“

“My overall experience was good. I have been here 2x. The first visit was excellent, and I would give 5 stars. Unfortunately, my 2nd visit was not 5 stars. We made reservations as usual, but one person in our party wasn't able to make it. So they downgraded our seats to a circle booth table meant for 2 people. I was not happy but thought we drove far, so let's make it work. We ordered drinks, cornbread, and entrees. I ordered the short ribs. I asked if it was possible to substitute a side and was told no. Ok. I still ordered the ribs. Unfortunately, when it came out, it was fatty. I spoke with the waiter who spoke with the cook 2x. Finally, a new cut was offered, but by that time, I was unhappy. Even though my experience was not the best, I still tipped 20% because it's not the servers/waiters' fault.“

“Cafe La Maude in Philadelphia is a charming spot that blends French and Lebanese culinary traditions into a delightful brunch experience. With a 5-star rating, it’s praised for its flavorful and unique dishes, professional service, and the cozy ambiance that makes the wait worthwhile. The menu offers a mix of healthy options, and while the prices are a bit steep, the quality of the food is exceptional. It’s a place where you can enjoy a leisurely meal and feel the warmth of family history and culture in every bite.“

“Decadent parties and fragrant coffee, this cafe is a must visit. The pistachio sticky bun lives up to its reputation! The bagels are more like a sandwich than bagel but also delicious. It gets quite crowded on weekends so come early for a spot. They have a cute outdoor patio for the warmer months.“

“The only thing that NEEDS to be said is the food here is outstanding. This is a fine dining type place but we found it on a whim and showed up in shorts and tshirts and were warmly welcomed and felt just fine. Few places put out food of this caliber…the quality and care is evident in every bite. Nothing in life is perfect but there wasn’t even the slightest miss in any dish we had. The geek in me loves hearing the stories about dishes and ingredients and learning more about Peruvian cuisine. We are on Sunday and it’s now Tuesday and I’ve been thinking about Geronimo’s ever since. I’ve have never had Chifa style cuisine that has impressed me in any way and their Lomo Saltado takes a basic quirky stir fry and somehow makes it a sublime experience. My son had the fried Aesop’s special and we were floored at how perfectly fried it was. Not at all greasy or heavy and the calamari and sea bass was tender and juicy. Short rib was butter tender and huge. I could obviously gush on and on but just go….the service was equally as phenomenal. Oh and the canchitas were awesome little snack and the Mebrillo compound butter they served with the bread was crazy good. Can’t. Wait. To. Go. Back.“

“Middle Child Clubhouse isn't just a breakfast/brunch spot; it's a time machine set to the best moments of your childhood, but with way better food. Walking in, you're greeted not just by super friendly faces but by an atmosphere that's as nostalgic as finding your old comic book collection in the attic. Let's dive into the culinary comic strip, shall we? First up, the Pastrami, Egg, and Cheese Sandwich - it's basically the superhero of breakfast sandwiches, having been featured on Good Morning America for "Best Breakfast in America." Fluffy eggs, melty cooper sharp American cheese, and house-smoked pastrami on rye--this sandwich doesn't just walk the walk; it struts. Next is The McCluckin' which steps up like the cool kid on the block, with a crispy chicken patty dressed in mayo, pickles, and shredded lettuce, all jazzed up with preserved lemon vin on a brioche bun that's softer than your favorite childhood pillow. Then there's the Shopsin Club, a solid ensemble of house turkey, cranberry miso mayo, sweet pickles, and more, all nestled within a ciabatta that's sturdy enough for the job. While it didn't steal the spotlight for me this time around, it played its part with a reliable performance that deserves a nod. As for the supporting cast strong enough to steal the show, it started with the "Latka'd" Hash Brown with Dill Cream. It's like Hanukkah morning and Saturday morning cartoons rolled into one crispy, creamy delight. We also shared "Olivia's Big Pancake". This isn't just a pancake; it's a fluffy, malted buttermilk cloud, drizzled with honey-butter and fresh citrus, making every bite a nostalgia trip to the days when breakfast was the highlight of your day. Overall, Middle Child Clubhouse delivers a brunch experience that's as comforting as finding your old baseball mitt, but with flavors so grown-up, you'll need to check your ID. Kudos to this spot for turning the most important meal of the day into one of the most memorable where every bite is a throwback and every visit feels like coming home.“

“Having watched Feed Phil on netflix, we wanted to give this place a whirlas we were traveling through Philly and it is definitely worth the stop. Food was fantastic with many unique options. “came here for a friends birthday dinner last weekend - my friends and i had a great time! our server, Brazil, was attentive, kind, and helpful with answering our questions. entrees can be ordered on a spice level 1 to 5 but some dishes are naturally spicier than others so this doesn't always equate to exactly the spice level you expect. the fish moilee at spice level 2 was way spicier than paneer makhani at spice level 4. paneer makhani was good but could've been more flavorful. the paneer palak was our favorite dish. the paneer in both these dishes was some of the best i've had. samosas, garlic naan, and goat cheese naan were great. do be warned that 21% tip is automatically included for parties over 5. overall, the ambiance and service were 5/5. food was 4/5. not my favorite indian spot in philly, but very good nonetheless!“

“Loved the vibes of this place! It is a very open layout with ample seating and lots of natural light. We came for brunch and got the nachos with octopus and birria benedict. Both were packed with flavor. The birria was very tender. I've never had nachos with octopus before, but it paired really well together, and I thought the pickled onions were a nice touch- I think these might be my favorite nachos in Philly so far. The service was great- they switched out our plates and utensils between dishes. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience here and would definitely want to come again for happy hour/dinner.“

“A bit loud but great food and so many choices! I would say they offer a good price for the quality. The pizza was top notch - fresh ingredients and well made, as were the polish pierogi, much lighter and more enjoyable than what I’ve had elsewhere. Definitely make a reservation. And there’s no signage outside so make note of the street address so you can find the right door (only the number outside). Have a blast there!Vegetarian options: Yes, many!“

“I don't go to this restaurant for "atmosphere." The restaurant is clean, nice and simply decorated. It's all good. I go to this restaurant for the great food and friendly, helpful and efficient staff. The seasonings are unique and tasty... with no/ low heat. The taste is fantastic. Wait staff/ service is friendly, timely and efficient. This is one of my regular go-to's. Call for take-away - unless you are doing door dash delivery.Vegetarian options: There are veg entree options. I often order the bokchoy as a side dish. It has a good amount of garlic (not overpowering) that complements the bokchoy... super tasty!!“

“The ramen is good. Best in town. Not many tables and the wait can be a while however. Parking is very limited and you cannot call in advance to reserve a spot. They gave me a wildly inaccurate wait time so I ended up going but ended up having to wait over an hour, not 15 minutes like what was said on the phone. All the food is cooked right in front of you too. I wouldn’t recommend anything outside of the ramen though.Vegetarian options: Limited“

“Great food and quick service. Came here with a hungry group, and our food came pretty quickly and hit the spot! A few of us split a scallion pancake, and it was quite good--flaky/not hard and had some nice layers. It was on the small side but still good for sharing. I tried the knife cut roast pork stir fry noodles and enjoyed the flavor of the meat and the slightly varied textures of the noodles! Very flavorful but not too rich. I enjoyed the veggies that gave a nice texture contrast with the noodles. I also sampled some of the house noodle bowl with the hand pulled noodles, which were also great! The broth was tasty, and there were a lot of varied meats and veggies included. With the solid food, fair prices, and good location, I'd definitely come here again!“

“Emei is one of the few Chinese Restaurants that has several gluten free options. My wife has celiac disease so this is very important and the servers here are knowledgeable and helpful about dietary restrictions. We started with the Cucumber and Garlic salad which is absolutely delicious. Then the main entree was house special fried rice with General Tsao's chicken. That's something nearly impossible to get gluten free. It was very good. The ambiance was fine nothing over-the-top. Special shoutout to Valerie, our server. “My partner and I go to Indian food all the time and always get our usuals (biryani, chicken tikka/vindaloo, etc). Although the menu was overwhelming at first, Amma’s offered a different niche of Indian food. We could tell they catered to more South Indian cuisine and we decided to go for it - we got the non veg platter, the onion pakora (this we always get!), and the dosa. The non veg platter was delicious, with unlimited refills! Service was speedy and very attentive. Our server, Tejaswi, was very informative, even telling us which dishes to pack together to preserve their quality! All in all, we had a lovely meal at Amma’s and can’t wait to return to try some more of their extensive menu.“

“Food: 5 out of 5 Menu: 3.5 out of 5 Service: 4.5 out of 5 Ambiance: 5 out of 5 Value for money: 3 out of 5 The hummus is pretty addictive and can be ordered with interesting toppings such as minced beef or mushrooms. This hummus will make its place in my personal top 5 list and pairs really well with the soft, fluffy pitas. The lunch menu is pretty tiny, so you don't have too many options besides the hummus - just a chicken schnitzel platter or a vegetarian equivalent with eggplant. The place does get full, so a reservation is highly recommended for any meal. Service was warm and attentive and I enjoyed my meal with friends. There isn't much to dislike about this place besides the limited menu and the steep pricing. Even in an era where inflation is a known problem, Dizengoff surprised me with a bill of $30 for a bowl of hummus with mushrooms, 2 pita breads, and a small-ish glass of frozen hibiscus lemonade.“

“I’m not sure if this page is current…seems you have moved to a new location, but I wanted to leave a review anyway. My family had dinner at your new location yesterday and it was hands down the best service I have ever experienced in my entire life. I never really take the time to leave reviews so the fact that I’m doing so speaks volumes. Food, atmosphere, service, and prices were all top notch. It’s always a struggle to find a restaurant with all 4 of those qualities, let alone a menu with enough options to please everyone in my family since they all have different tastes. “This place has been on my list for some time and I was fortunate to visit at a downtime. Amongst a city full of pizza shops, Down North stands out among the greats. ENVIRONMENT The restaurant is relatively easy to find and seats no more than 5 or so people in the shop. The wait was a tad excessive which I credited to the food being "made with love". FOOD I love a good piece of focaccia! Another contributor commented that their pizza can be likened to focaccia which I would find to be incredibly accurate. The "Detroit" style was incredibly flavorful accompanied by a heaping of toppings(I settled on the "I'm A Boss"). I will admit the fries left a bit much to be desired but not enough to influence my rating. If you're based anywhere in North Philly between Farimount and Erie Ave, I can confidently say Down North is among the top three picks for the area. Happy eating!“
