“Our first visit a few weeks ago left a great impression on us. So much so last night we took our family & friends to help us celebrate our 50th anniversary. Since there were 17 of us we sat at the bar & 2 bar height tables. We felt since there were many of us we chose to go as soon as they opened. This we felt did not take away during their busy dinner time. Great service, great food & awesome time was had by all. I can’t say enough of how wonderful this place is. The owners did everything to please us and we were not disappointed. Thank you “Hooked”. We will be back. 10/10“

“The waitress was new but she was very helpful and if she didn't know the answer she knew exactly who to ask. Helped with beer and food recommendations. Got the Carmine and the boneless bites, both were delicious and the burgers came in these cool wrappers that helped keep the toppings in! I've always wanted to try this place and it was so worth the wait! We got in, were seated quickly despite the place being packed, and we had prompt service the entire night. Highly recommend!“

“We don't typically go to such a nice place on a Friday evening to close out the work week. Just the 2 of us with a shared appetizer 1 adult beverage each and a seltzer each was just over $100.00. It was so relaxed taking just over 1.5 hours. Our waitress was among the most professional people we have had wait on us. She knew the menu very well, was engaging without the fluff, made solid recommendations and was at the table exactly when we wanted. The menu is extension and full of non-typical items. Everything we tried was brilliant. This is a place where you can experiment with dishes you haven't tried before without worry that you won't enjoy. 100% additional trips in our future. This is not grabbing a bite, but rather, enjoying an experience.“

“Fridays at work, the office orders lunch, and we are always looking for new eats. Well today, Chef Von & Mom popped up on our app, and we loved the sound of the menu. The food arrived, and it was EXACTLY like it's pictured on all the sites! The portions were perfect at an extremely reasonable price (better quality and taste than fast food joints, but easier on my wallet)!! Some reviews say manager is rude but it is more no nonsense, keeps things moving as fast as possible. We make an annual visit to the area and this restaurant is our must do.“

“One of the best burgers I’ve ever had in my life. The meat and cheese they used, whatever they did, they do it extremely well. Our waitress was super nice and it’s a cute little place. What people call the “dated” places are so often some the best food places in the area. It’s a hidden treasure in Scranton.“

Even better place since they stopped allowing smokers. Excellent food; great, huge variety on the menu!
Great wait staff. I always bring my friends for breakfast Saturday and it never disappoints! Coffee is great and free flowing. They get busy right about 10:00AM but the waitresses keep up quite efficiently. Love the veggie omelette!“

Douglas makes you feel like family and treats you as if you are. The renovation only amplifies how amazing this place is. “I can't remember the name of the young woman but a brilliant young woman at the end of the bill added a heart. I looked at it as a kind person attentive to the customer. It's a place where I return to eat!!!!! We were three people and all three of us left with the same expectations!

“My husband and I decided to try this place for the first time and we were amazed! We started with potato pancakes, calamari, and the mozzarella en Carozza and it was like it was touched by the hand of God it was so delicious! Then I had the pretzel chicken with the mashed potatoes and the green beans! I've been looking for pretzel chicken done this way all over the valley and this is the only place that does it the way I like it with the mustard sauce. My dinner also came with a soup and I chose the Italian wedding and it tasted better than mine! My husband had the Joseph's double stuffed crust pizza with pepperoni added on top and we've had other double stuffed crust white pizzas before and this one is at the top of the list! We're definitely coming back and we will be bringing friends and family! Thank you so much for the amazing experience and our waitress was absolutely fantastic and extremely attentive!“

We also tried the chicken parmesan and the pork chop. The pork chop had a nice crunch on the outside, though we felt it could use a bit more seasoning inside.
