“Absolutely love this place! (To be fair, I've never been.) But the fact that they charge for FROZEN WATER and not the more popular BIGGER SHOT (like every other bar and restaurant does. ..ugh!) makes me want to rush on down to PA and get this top grade water and see for myself. How dare some of the other riff raff complain about an "on the rocks" pour and not just simply celebrate this purest of pure and tastiest of tasty ice that cost $4.50. MY GOD!!! What rock do these miscreants crawl out from under? Next time, I will be sure to order EXTRA "on the rocks." I want my spirit to swirl around and be diluted by this amazing ice made from the nectar of the God's, and available only at this excellent establishment. Please, Halligan's Bartender, do not do the unthinkable and give me extra alcohol. That would be unimaginable. I most definitely want less and to be charged more. Good vibes all around then! “We are working our way through Manyunk restaurants and Bar Jawn had some excellent reviews. It was much smaller than I expected but the Bourdain signs and country music told me we were in the right place. Cooper Sharp fried cheese squares with fresh sauce were outrageously good. Cheesesteak with Cooper sharp and cherry peppers did Philly proud. Loved the seeded roll too. Definitely will be back. Service was friendly and attentive. A really great Sunday afternoon.“

“Great Sports Bar! Plenty of TVs in their main bar area and both dinning rooms. I would absolutely recommend you get the burger. It was packed full of greens, with the lettuce sauteed onions and grilled eggplant, but balanced it nicely with a big meaty patty and delicious house sauce. The fries were also exceptional, potentially double fried and thick cut, these steak fries were crispy and the perfect compliment to the burger. Staff was friendly and attentive and the neighborhood was cute!“

“I recently celebrated a milestone birthday with a dinner at Elwood with family and friends. Chef Adam and Jenny were wonderful to work with and the meal was absolutely delicious. Everyone loved the venison scrapple amuse bouche. We shared several orders of perogies and cheese platters to kick off the meal, followed by a couple of orders of the tri- tip beef, the sea bass, and the rabbit, which are served family style with a whole host of accompaniments, including exceptional mashed potato that got rave reviews and deserves it's own mention. Several of the diners had never had rabbit, but they all tried it and it was a hit! I already have plans to come with some friends for an afternoon tea, and my husband and I will definitely be back for dinner and/or one of the dining events that Chef Adam hosts. Adam & Jenny, thank you for my birthday dinner one to remember!💖“

“Just got home from an AMAZING dinner celebrating my father in laws 70th birthday and the 50th wedding anniversary for he and his wife. The service was impeccable and our server, Taylor was fantastic, friendly, understanding and accommodating the entire time! She couldn’t have been better! Made the entire experience a happy & memorable one! The person that helped out, Tyler was also great! When the kids were super load, she was quick to say it was ok and they were not bothering anyone. The ambiance was very inviting and the food was beyond delicious - plentiful portions. “Great restaurant! Natural food that is a nice departure from the fried stuff, although that is good on occasion. I am vegan, so this restaurant fills a pretty essential gap for me - vegan, healthy, quick, and affordable.

On the downside, I noticed today when ordering that there were tons more options at the downtown Philadelphia location things like an awesome breakfast menu, including a vegan burrito, and other side like a strawberries salad maybe some of these things are just out of stock at the moment. They could also use some vegan desserts, and maybe eventually some alternatives for vegan protein. Also, it would be nice to see a vegan mac & cheese, which is pretty easy to make and other vegan cheese dishes. Finally, I appreciate the sauces, especially the vegan aïoli, but barbecue and buffalo would be a nice addition. Overall, I really hope this place sticks around.“

“Kia was our service and when i tell you she is the bomb.com. She made my family feel like we was the only ones she was attending too. She had 4 other tables, but she made all the tables feel like we was top priority. She’s very amazing with children and you can tell she really loves her job. The manger Steven (i think that was his name) came and checked on the table and let us know Kia is definitely one of the best. I’ll be back for sure on Kia shift.

“A small, quaint and friendly bar with some great drinks and even better prices. Been here a few times and it's super chill. The bartenders are friendly and the drink deals are off the hook. Visited one Sunday and got a whiskey flight, while my wife had watermelon martini. We enjoyed our drinks in the serene outside area that resembles a scene out of a movie, which they share with a few other local vendors. Nice place to visit when you want a drink without the long wait and noise of a regular neighborhood bar.“
