The food is delicious too! I’ve tried the wraps, chkn salad, and hoagies and highly recommend. Also tried both soups, “fish” stew, drumsticks, jerk chickpeas and curry chickpeas, and chkn with gravy which were DELICIOUS. favorite sides are cabbage, collard greens, and Mac n cheese.“

“It is very seldom that I leave a review or comment but IT WOULD BE SELFISH OF ME TO NOT SHARE THIS GOOD OL’ FOOD. The soul food is bomb, I had the Cheese steak rolls, Cabbage, and butter corn) and the African food was just how I like it , a little spice but not to much to were I couldn’t not enjoy it (Potato Greens and Rice). If you are in the 69th street, Darby, south west area and have not tried JC Afrosoul food, then Please get there now !!!! “I didn't get to taste the food because one of her workers had a bad attitude. When dealing with the public professionalism is a must. I could have referred a lot of people that don't know it's there. Your tea was very good and I hope your service gets better. A vegetarian platter would be nice also.“

“Me and my husband was on a inventory run for our soul food restaurant located in Johnstown pa we literally Rode by this spot my husband said make a u turn when he went in for a menu he was instantly excited to see it was black owned business after calling me into the restaurant the owner greatly blessed us with a seafood salad potato salad & this blue juice omg the best highly recommended this spot great customer service food smells so good in you can tell it’s cooked with LOVE…..“

“My turkey wings were great and full of flavor. My cabbage not so much. It tasted like they're was no seasoning at on the cabbage. The mac and cheese could've been a little better but it wasn't that bad. My husband's friend chicken was very delicious and his yams were also good. I would definitely try this place again.“

Easy contactless pickup during the pandemic! Give her a call if you want some soul food but don't feel like cooking. *Only thing is, you need to pay cash in the exact amount if you don't use apple ipay.“

“I can't wait to try this place, it's right out of a Sienfeld episode only with a Cajun twist with an old black lady. What was that movie were an old black lady plays Jesus? Such stark reviews, a bunch of 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ reviews from people that were actually patient and let the lady prepare the food the way she does it. Then a lot of 1⭐ reviews from butt hurt Karen's that are all upset because they actually have to wait and their time is so precious. Leave the lady alone and go have your Popeye's or Chick fil A. This cook/chef what ever you want to call her uses wholesome fresh ingredients unlike the other restaurants that are slowly poisoning you. I find the restaurant on an app call Seed Oil Scout. I would highly recommend it, you can find the healthy restaurants where ever you go. Can't wait to try this establishment. Do yourself a favor, be patient and help a wonderful person. God Bless.“

“I was there for a breast cancer survivor party, and it was my first time, I had the best time ever and am looking forward to going back again. I thought you opened early but see your hours start at 5pm. I have a girlfriend that wants to celebrate her birthday there November 2, 2024, so I plan to call and make arrangements for us to celebrate there this Saturday. I give this restaurant a five plus.“

“So the ladies at the back are great. They don't speak much English, so if you go speaking English they won't really understand. But, the man in the front speaks English.
Now the man at the front he appears nice, but I think he makes up prices based off how he is feeling at the moment. Because I normally get the something each time I go. Down to the size of the platter, and the food in the platter. So the price should be the same, because I get the same thing each time I go. Some days I pay $18.00, some days I pay $20.00 and recently I paid $22.00. When I asked him why it was a different prices, he got very spicy with me. That was the last time I went there.
My boyfriend is Haitian, so the next time I go back he will be with me. If he can't go with me I won't be go.“

“Came to Philly for visit. A friend served us some food from Crafty Soul food. Damn that stuff was good. The next day I ordered the same meal of fish platter and shrimp platter with greens and Mac/cheese. Also got extra sweet potatoes. The only thing missing was cornbread. This place will be on the top of my list when visit again.“

“Isaiah was very good and personable, we enjoyed him. Food was good and hot, chicken was a tad salty but still good. Portions were appropriate for the price. Music was very loud and lights were very bright for a dinner service. Pretty good experience, I'd come back!“

“Jamil’s Cafe catered my daughter’s baby shower. Food was excellent. Arrived on time fresh and hot. He set up and gave me extra equipment. Everyone loved the food seasoned to perfection. The professionalism I received from beginning to the end was outstanding. Definitely booking again :)“

“Firstly, Ya'll getting 5 stars just for being OPEN AS ADVERTISED! I can eat collard greens everyday and usually I make my own but I was out and at work and decided to try to find some. This was the third establishment I went to based on Google but the first to be open on a Saturday. I am so glad this is where I spent my money because I was far from disappointment. They were the best greens I've had from an restaurant. I'm just mad I didn't get two. I wanted to come back Sunday! I will be back and intend to explore more of the menu.“
