“My wife and I visited this place for the first time. There are not a lot of tables in the place and a lot of space between them. We were invited to sit, later they told us the table was reserved, but later they told us (again) that we don’t have to move. They apologized for the misunderstanding.Other than that moment, everything else was good. The food was good, the service, the wine and the salad.I got the pasta with scallops and I liked it.The prices were aceptable as well. No complaints on that.If I am around, I will visit again. Salute!“
“One of the best dining experiences in the area! The ambiance, service and food were all top notch! The marinated octopus and white bean appetizer was tender and delicious. The venison osso bucco was served over a dreamy cauliflower puree. A lot to choose from drinks to dessert!“
“Neighborhood Bar in a secluded spot in Greentown.....while it does seem that everyone who comes in know one another, the staff wear shirts stating "there are no strangers here, only friends you haven't yet met" and we were certainly made to feel that way....staff is friendly and attentive......the menu is small and understand that it is bar food.....however it is definitely above average.....wings are very good and you can choose from many different sauces or dry rubs.....we have only had the cheesesteak hero here but it is what they are known for and you can order a half or whole and have different options including chicken or steak....I certainly recommend trying Mountainhouse Tavern.....you just might go in for dinner and extend your stay at the bar with new friends while listening to local bands.......“
“Good food, great atmosphere, huge portions and nice people. But where did our favorite waitresses go? Danielle and Zoe were probably the number one reason that we came every weekend. If you are reading this, please let us know where you landed. We will come there too. “
“This is a great restaurant and bar. The inside is a very comfortable atmosphere. Dim lighting which I love. If it’s cold out the fireplace might be roaring and the tables near it are a hot commodity. The food had always been good and they have a big selection on the menu. There’s lots of space and I have even hosted a birthday party here. The bar is separated from the dinning room enough to forget it’s there and close enough if you want to go in, plus there’s a pool table. The staff is great and the building has a lot of history. Worth a try if you’re in the area.Parking: Plenty of parking. Would never be an issue.Kid-friendliness: Good menu for kids.“
“We went here for pre- dinner cocktails and didn't want to leave. This place is full of old school charm. The staff made us feel at home immediately. You could certainly tell who the regulars were and they too made us feel welcome. This place will continue to be in the rotation for fun while at the lake.“
“This place is awesome. First things first, it's a brew pub. They brew their own beer, and they've usually got something for everyone in that regard. They also have a full bar, so no worries if you don't drink beer. Now, the food. They've got some interesting bar nibbles, seasoned popcorn, flavored fries and such, but they also serve a limited menu of more substantial food to make a meal: specialty pizzas which change more or less seasonally, interesting salads, etc. The menu is not huge but they have figured out how to stay in their lane and do everything that they do really well. Bartenders and wait staff seem to change a bit, but somehow the service is always solid, and people seem to like working there. Thursday night jazz is the bomb: a really solid trio and weekly walk ons who join in on the jam. H&N is a nice looking, comfortable, local place with a really great vibe that attracts a mixed crowd of locals, weekenders, and visitors. They've figured out their space in town, and they do what they do really well. Swing by and check it out.Vegetarian options: I've taken multiple vegetarians here. They've had no issue finding a tasty options for a meal every time.“
“Great local spot in the area. The staff is very friendly and the food came out fast. I got the Pittsburg burger which came with crispy fries and we also got pierogis and penne a la vodka. Def good picks, would like to try the rest of the menu!“
“Little gem next to the river. Staff were kind and food was delicious. It was great priced and a wonderful variety. Only downside if you have a baby they do not have a changing table in the bathroom also stalk doors are very short so not much privacy when you use bathroom.Parking: Plenty of parking as long as you get there before they are busy. It is definitely a place people enjoy which fills parking lot quickly.“
“Definitely a roadhouse feel inside & out which is kinda the whole point. The chef never disappoints & service is always great whether they are busy or not. Saw a Led Zep cover band there over the summer, was a great time. Not your woke-type crowd in there which is fine by us “
“Great little coffee shop. Fresh brewed coffee, lots of milk alternatives including oat milk, and fresh baked pastries and made to order sandwiches. The place was packed and stayed busy for the entire hour we spent here and they kept the line moving, drinks and food coming out fast even with only two people.“
“Best in Honesdale if you are looking for something a little more than the usual diner experience . Food and service is fantastic and the atmosphere is very relaxing .Parking: Giving the hours they are open there is plenty of parking on Main Street .“
“Such a pleasant surprise, so much food, could not eat it all.My spring omelet was the fluffiest omelet I ever had, baby spinach so tender, tomatoes an cheese just finished it off perfectly. What a menu, so many choices wow !!! Can't wait to be back in the area “
“Awesome food and service! We ordered the $27 prime rib that came with a soup or salad and a veg and potatoes of your choice. The prime rib was huge and delicious! We also had the boneless wings and they were great too! Highly recommend this place!“
“So happy our other choice for dinner was closed! If anything, to remind us how much we love it here! I’ve seen some reviews about service times, yes, it can be a wait. The staff and owners have placed signage to notify all patrons of same, Well worth any wait. Sit, enjoy a cocktail and the food!“
“My daughter and I came here for the first time. The food was excellent ? it was trivia night, so we participated in that, and that was fun. The waitress was very nice. And if we are in the area again someday, we will definitely stop back, and 100% recommend this place.“
“We chose the Settlers in for a place to dine in celebration of our anniversary. The Settlers Inn was highly recommended by a friend of mine. We arrived for an early dinner. The atmosphere was quaint the attention of the staff to our needs was superior to most places. The food was amazing! We give the chef our compliments. In short if you are looking for a dinning experience with charm, here is the place.“
