“Ordered a birthday cake for my mom’s 50th from Kia’s and I cannot recommend them more. I worked with Rachel, and she was extremely accommodating and went above and beyond to fulfill my requests. The cake was BEAUTIFUL, and absolutely delicious. Our guests raved!! Also, I want to say that the staff at Kia’s is so friendly and nice. Such a wonderful atmosphere. “Crumbl have some good cookies, I love the variety of options for their flavors weekly! This is my 3rd time having crumbl and Everytime there were a few I loved and a few I didn't but that's okay. Overall I recommend buying, even if it's a little pricey.“

Someone else mentioned before, better to turn around on Veteran Dr and then back up in to the yard because YES it is tight and there is no room to maneuver in the yard. I guess you can back up on to the docks for overnight parking.

“Last Saturday, January 31st, I was invited to a cake decorating party/course at Pound Cake Heaven. Ms. Pam and Ms. Tony were such gracious hosts, introducing us to the shop, the history of this amazing Black woman-owned company, and recent projects like for the US Navy's 250th Anniversary cake! Melanie expertly taught our group of amateur and semi-professional cake bakers how to decorate a 2 layered cake. The butter cream smelled and tasted delicious and so did the cake overall! I would definitely recommend the course and bake goods! Thank you all so much for such an enjoyable time!“

I had mine on sourdough bread & she hers on a bed of lettuce with the tarragon chicken salad as well. Absolutely amazing. The chai latte was also great. “I was introduced to these cookies years ago, and they have become my go-to choice for special occasions for many reasons. First, they are absolutely delicious! Second, I appreciate their business practices. Just yesterday, I ordered some cookies, and although they usually ship the next day, they weren't able to get into the shop due to the ice. I received a thoughtful phone call from a man named Mike. He informed me that they typically do not ship on Fridays, but given the inclement weather, they would be making an exception. He even apologized for the delay. You rarely get this kind of courtesy call from businesses anymore.“

“I can’t say enough good things about this place! I’ve never heard of it before but from what I’ve read it’s a chain. The quality of these bakery items is unmatched, seriously. Every single thing I got was incredibly fresh, light, soft and flavorful. I went in around 7:30AM and there was a lot to choose from. I got the strawberry croissant, chocolate croissant, blueberry croissant and mochi donut. 10/10 on every single one. I also got an iced churro latte and it was delicious- well balanced between coffee and sweetness. I was helped promptly and the staff was very kind and hardworking.

All you do when you walk in is pick up a tray on the right, line it with the paper and use a pair of tongs to pick the bakery items you want out of the cases. You then take your tray to the counter and they will calculate and box everything up for you. You can order a drink too there if you’d like. They also have some energy drinks in a cooler next to the register if that’s your thing. Plenty of seating inside and outside.

I can’t say anything about the lunch or savory food options but everything looked fresh and I can’t wait to go back and try more!

Also, parking was super easy. There’s street parking right infront but if there’s no spots available there’s a parking lot right around the corner- less than a 2 min walk. The area seemed very nice and safe. I will definitely be back!“

“Love Auntie Anne’s pretzels and lemonades. They have salty pretzels, cinnamon ones, almond ones, and pretzel bites, cinnamon pretzel bites, and pretzel hot dogs. The lemonades they have are classic, strawberry, mango, and blue raspberry. Sometimes the pretzels could be on the tougher side (I guess they’re either overdone or sit out for too long). The pretzel bites are usually softer and more fluffy.“
