“Peppi’s deserves five THOUSAND stars. I called them less than an hour before closing to ask whether they might be able to accommodate a 22-sub order for the film crew I’m a part of. I was fully expecting them to say no, they wouldn’t be able to do it, and was ready to call around elsewhere. But to my complete delight, they said yes, and they blew our minds by making all 22 subs in under 30 minutes. Plus, they were super friendly. We had one very happy film crew that day, and that meal powered us through the rest of the shoot. Big shoutout to the whole team at Peppi’s. You guys rule and we will be coming back often!!!“

“This is THE sandwich shop. Period. Read amazing reviews from people about this place and decided to give it a shot yesterday afternoon. It was by far the best experience I have had in any restaurant in quite some time. I had ordered their Reuben, and I ordered a Steak Hoagie for a family member of mine. When I say I have been eating Reubens for a very long time, I mean it. This was the BEST Reuben I had EVER eaten. My family member also had stated that that was the BEST Steak Hoagie she had EVER eaten as well. Got the Turbo Fries as well, and they came with an absolutely delicious hot sauce that they make in-house. The owner(?) I think was the one who prepared our food, and after we had started to dig into this amazing food, he then proceeded to come over and ask us what we thought of the food. Man if that ain't the most wholesome thing you could experience while eating at a new place, I don't know what is! The woman who took our order was extremely kind and helpful as we ordered. If I could give this place 10/5 for Food, Atmosphere, and Service I absolutely would. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ENOUGH. You NEED a sandwich like what they make here. “It's a classic older family run restaurant. 1980's Pepsi menu boards, cheap prices, family owned, etc. The subs/hoagies are 100% over rated. Now the burgers, pizzas, fries, broccoli bites are worth it. They are priced well and taste pretty good. Have been there a few times to try their menu and can see going back.“

“In Pittsburgh for the weekend and ordered food for a large group from The Chip Shop. Absolutely everything was excellent! We had to feed twelve people, so we had a variety of menu items and can report that nobody was disappointed. I visited during weekday evening and it was quite crowded and not enough staff also the place was not that well kept but wasn’t too bad either. For the price of the food this place is okay.“

I picked up takeout so wasn't inside very long, but it was clean and nice looking.Service: employees were very nice and helpful. I asked for a modification on a sandwich (half pickles, half banana peppers) and they did it no problem.Food: got two cold subs, 2' Italian and 1' turkey, and potato salad. Bread was fresh, and there was a good amount of toppings like the meat and veggies. The meat on the Italian wasnt what I expected - it was ham and some kind of soft meat with spices in it (maybe bologna, I'm not really sure). We both thought it tasted great though. I loved the potato salad. I think it might have been a loaded baked potato style - seemed to have bacon in it.One thing that was weird to me is that they charged extra for pickles/banana peppers/jalapenos. It was over $2 to get pickles on a 2' sub. They were jarred so I'm not really sure why it was so much. That being said it wouldn't deter me from coming back. Will return!!“

“I'm visiting Pittsburgh with my girlfriend and we decided to try out this deli. We got a Teresa's Arrosto diManzo and a Tutti. Portions are generous and they come with a pickle spear. We toasted on the pickle and both bit in. The pickle was perfect. The Tutti had a nice balsamic dressing and I polished it off fast. To my girlfriend's chagrin. The Arrosto had a nice horseradish dressing. It was amazing. Definitely enjoyed my time here.“

After enjoying delicious made-in-house beef in the Allegheny Omelete served alongside potatoes (with the perfect amount of salt) and a side of horseradish sauce along with an order of fluffy scrambled eggs with made-in house-turkey, we deemed it one of the best breakfasts around! “They make really good sandwiches. I had the Italian sub. The bread was soft and chewy and the fillings were tasty. I will probably go extra meat next time just because it tasted so good. My wife had the fish sandwich. This was no little fish sandwich! The filet of fish hung out a good 3 inches in each side of the bun. It's a plain sandwich with just the fish, but it was light and flakey (you can add cheese, tartar or ketchup. I would definitely recommend it.“

Typically reasonable Family members had complained about high prices for what you get, but I didn't think it was bad considering the fact it's fast food wings. “We haven't been to this location in years. Came in this Sunday and it was busy. (A large group of 6 or 7 adults plus kids before us, and another one after us.) Only one person working. I think his nametag said "Twig" which was unusual, but the food prep area was clean, he was quick and professional and I even saw him change his gloves. When the sub he was making for me got a bit wet he took the time to wrap it again in a new paper which I appreciated. (We were taking the subs hiking.) Totally solid experience from a rockstar and I hope management of the store appreciates what a great employee they've got. The slaw that is one of the toppings was great l just don't love items on a sandwich that make your bread soggy. There are generous children options available. I shared a picture of the pizza and fries. The lunch hour on a Sunday is busy so nice to see an active environment. It's an experience and a great place to dine with others.“
