The food was absolutely delicious and so beautifully prepared. The drinks were exquisite and like the salad, ice cold the way you dream of. The meal was piping hot. That never happens.

“OMG, our plan was just to stop in for coffee. We ended up having breakfast for dinner, sharing a big piece of cake, AND having 2 cups coffee, while enjoying fun conversation with Annie and her daughter. We'll ABSOLUTELY be coming back here! The atmosphere was completely welcoming, the food was hot, fast and tasty (eggs jist how I love them) and the coffee was hot and FRESH! (A new pot of regular was brewed up when we ordered. This place is a gem! There's some community boards advertising fun local activities- plays, bazaars, fairs, etc.
We saw one of the specials being served, and there was a full cob of corn delivered with it. I bet it was local and fresh, as someone was advertising selling corn by the dozen on a sign. Loved this diner!

“Cool little old school bar. Cheap drinks. Never ate the food but it looks good. Decent pool table. Bartenders and clientele are friendly. Smoking is permitted which is a big plus for me in the winter especially.“

“Had dinner here. Menu was very large. They could reduce it and specialize in thing better. Dozen claims for $14. Problem is they were a little too large making them difficult to chew. Side salad was not just iceberg lettuce which was nice. Cuban panini could have had more meat. $.50 for extra pickle chips. Soft pretzels were very good. As was the spaghetti/meatballs & fish sandwich.“

“Went to Millie's Kitchen at the Uptown Tavern last night, 11/16/2020. It is a "Hole in the Wall) type place. Very casual place: plastic utensils, paper towels for napkins, etc. The food was excellent. The portions were huge. Many items to choose from. The bar keep was very engaging. I had the mini tacos as an appetizer with the boneless chicken wings w/sweet bar-b-que sauce and a chocolate martini. I'm still eating the wings today. Frank had the beef cheese steak sandwich w/hot sauce and he loved the taste and texture of the meat. we will be going back again SOON“

“Showed up in the last hour they were open for the day and made to be felt welcome. There were plenty of other folks in the place and more arrived after we did, but the staff were great even though obviously feeling a bit tired after having an extra long day the night before. The food was very good and reasonably priced.
Though I did feel the chipped beef was missing meat, it seemed to be more sauce, but that may have been due to being the end of the day. The biscuits and gravy were very good. The seasoning was wonderful... Too often the gravy is too heavy on pepper to mask other flavors, but that was not the case this time.

Overall, everything else was quite good and I look forward to trying more options on future visits.“

“The food was amazing as always but our waitress was terrible. we had to wait 15 minutes just for our beverages, had to wave down another waitress to let her know. at the end of our dining, the girl we had to wave down, got a better tip than our original waitress.“

After reading on here about recent service experiences, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I'm happy to report that the problematic bartender is no longer here and everyone I encountered was nice, chatty, and helpful.
