“Really nice sports bar located on top of a mountain. I've had takeout here a few times in passing and decided to eat in finally. Food is really good, but every time I'm there, no music is playing or the tv's are muted. It's kind of of awkward. You could hear a pin drop. Maybe I'm just used to sports bars being loud. Its so quiet you can hear people whispering. This place has a 5/5 vibe, food and wings are slammin', but unmute the tv's or play some music please!“

“Decided to go to the train station for our anniversary. Food was good. Waitress pleasant. Hostess very sweet. Ofter our dinner we were told our meal was paid for by a couple who already left.so we just want to thank them and let them know how grateful we are for a wonderful evening.and we will pay it forward. “My favorite place in Jim Thorpe! Yesterday, my friend and I stopped in for lunch and despite being super busy, we were able to be seated at the bar. The bartender was attentive and friendly, and the food and cocktails were on point! We can’t wait to come back next time we are in town.“

“I love everything about Thunderhead! from date night, to casual dinners, and parties. We've been patronizing them since they opened. Thunderhead has some of the best curated cocktails around. I just hosted a surprise birthday party for my husband this past weekend, and everything was perfect. Their Antler Room that is used for parties is so beautiful. Our entire family loved the atmosphere, the food, and the service. Meredith was wonderful to work with to plan the gathering along with the staff that took care of our drinks and extras. 💓“

“My friends and I found The Wabash by accident,, we were chasing the Reading & Northern 2102 last Saturday Oct 25th 2025.. We were looking for a place for lunch and a few beers.. The food was good and prices were right,, and I got the last bowl of French Onion soup.. The woman behind bar was very nice to talk to,, putting up with us,, the Train guys... Next time we are in Tamaqua,, we will stop at The Wabash,,... Pat from Massachusetts...“

“It’s my first time here. The place is nice, with unique decorations unlike a typical bar. The beer menu is displayed on the wall, and the cocktail menu is on paper. It’s small but cool. You’ll need to find street parking nearby. A great spot to grab a beer and try different flavors!“

“I don't know of a spectacular way to say thank you for all the courtesy and kindnesses given to me as I was dining/celebrating with my son on his (over 21st. birthday) so from the bottom of my heart I say (once again) thank you---------for everything, Glen & Rose! The service, preparation, care of the order, and, up to and including the delivery of our food make me value this West Penn Diner experience as worthwhile and I feel appreciated as a customer. The atmosphere is comfortable and cozy and the diner is clean. It is also really worth noting that your omelettes are just the very best! There is nothing to add except another order to them. All the ingredients that are included on the plate equal perfection. I feel confident to write that I bet all the customers feel that with all of these orders of perfection being carried out from the kitchen I believe you have a deadly combination of satisfied, happy and grateful customers. “We went for a holiday occasion for kids. The atmosphere was really nice. I was not happy that the food was cold. It was also way too crowded. It made my grandchild a little anxious. I think they should have made less reservations for the day and had the event more days so the experience was more enjoyable.“
