“we went to the restaurant this Friday night for their fish and chips special. I must say it tastes like the fish was caught today it was so fresh. not sure how it was breaded it but it was light and tasty. I think I am sold going here every Friday night. we had Jen for our waitress who was fabulous. she was so friendly and she gave us the best service. we cannot wait to go back again for this meal. we also had the Italian pear cake for dessert and once again they surprise me with a delicious dessert which I will definitely order this again. don't know how they did it but I give the chef a A plus.“

“So don't get me wrong I Do enjoy eating the food that is in the Corner cafe and to be honest, I was kind of jealous to the point that I said about putting the corner cafe out of business But I did have a suggestion that the could change their hours instead of opening at 7:30 in the morning that they should open around 5 In the morning and then close around 7:30 PM“

“Administrative details - While you usually must make a reservation a year in advance (which I did), there are a very few earlier spots available on their website. In addition, if you are on the email list, they send the occasional last-minute availability. Talula’s is BYOB. The price was $125 and with all the other things, taxes, gratuities, it came to $160. The Nook Table is available for 6-8 diners and the Farm Table is for larger parties. Website link is below. Everything is presented in “tasting” small portions. In addition to the menu, they provided a couple of additional offerings. I did not do a good job of capturing the delightful descriptions of the food provided by our server. (The next time I go, I will video the descriptions if they allow.) The group did a great job of bringing wine which was beautifully poured in appropriate glassware by our server. The server also paired the wine with the offerings for us! The service was exceptional without being pretentious. After each tasting, plates, utensils and glasses were cleared and refurbished so discreetly that you hardly noticed. The menu changes with the “farm to table” availability. My favorite was a squash tarte. [I was delighted to find that I did not like the foie gras. It is “made” in a most inhumane and horrible way. This is the only time I have eaten it and I will never eat it again.] I was sorry to find that by the Black Garlic Beef Ribeye (#6 on the list), I was getting to the point of “too much food.” The only downsides were “too much food” for most of us and the wines they suggested for the pairings were hard/impossible to find. I personally did not like the varieties of wines they suggested for pairings. The rest of the party enjoyed the comparable wines they were able to find and allowed the server to pair with the tastings. I will be making a reservation for next year very soon. I have already made a reservation for the “sister” Talula’s Garden in Philly for September.“

“Had an awesome meal at Double aa Burgers. The Double Aa Burger with Swiss cheese and bacon was juicy flavorful and cooked perfectly. The hot wings were amazing especially with the homemade sauce the chef makes. To top it all off the Oreo vanilla milkshake was thick creamy and delicious.
Definitely coming back and highly recommend it.“

“If you have not been to the new restaurant at Wyncote Golf Club, run don’t walk because you are missing out! We have been numerous times and we leave happy and satisfied every time. Their handmade crafted cocktails are amazing. I am in love with the espresso martini. As for the food, every dish that we have had was a taste sensation. I had the shepherds pie and it put one of our local English Pub’s shepherds pie to shame! And it’s made with lamb, as it should be. We can not wait to go back! Well done Wynecote!“

“I would normally recommend Six Paulpers, HOWEVER, last night's service was terrible. Not sure what the problem was. We first waited for quite awhile for a waitress, so we just went to the bar to get our own drinks. The waitress shows up, we order our food, and it took quite awhile to get to us. My husband got the French dip and fries, I got the cheesesteak egg rolls. The FFs were cold, greasy and had no taste. My egg rolls were burnt. I sent the FF's back, and asked to see if the chef would like to look at the FF's! She goes OK, but the chef isn't in, just the sous chef! And that was it! 🤣We had to go to the bar for another drink. We finally saw our waitress again for us to ask for the bill! Hope this was just an off night!😬“

“Enjoyed my birthday tonight with family and friends. Grew up in Newark and have never eaten here. It did not disappoint. Love the history and the ambience. Our waitress, Piper was phenomenal, .... friendly, accommodating, and very attentive. The food was perfectly portioned and all tasted great. The soft pretzel was wonderful. The Brussel Sprouts was excellent and the short ribs were tender and flavorful. The apple cider mule was a perfect drink to top it all off.“

Service is generally excellent but sometimes waiters will forget that you’re outside if dining on the patio and not attend to your table.“

“I went with my group on a Thursday which was a very light evening which allowed my group to enjoy our whole dining experience. Our server had time to explain the menu and make recommendation to our group that included a 4 year old. Why is this relevant? Because, she gave her the same respectful service as she did the adults. Thank you. Now let's get to the food. I had the Chicken Picatta. I had to take the picture because at the first bite I new it was about to be destroyed. I left nothing on the plate. I tend to judge places on what was expected of me being successful in my life. There are way too many places where customer service is lacking. I tend to avoid them and spend my money where people appreciate their customers. Today it's very rare when a GM sets the standard for the other employees to follow. Two Stones Pub GM, Mallary is excellent. She is engaging to all the customers, assists with the bartenders and servers. Unfortunately that doesn't happen very often. If you haven't been there I highly recommend going there.“

We will be visiting the restaurant again for my husband's birthday. He loved the food so much he selected it for a family celebration. “Some friends and I went to Catch45 for lunch yesterday and we had great food and conversation. We were there for nearly four hours. The ambiance was nice and the food plentiful and delicious. We had beef patties, fried plantains two ways, jollof rice, red beans, attike and the yummy sauces. He says it is a kid friendly place, yet, a well behaved child on the dancefloor was outside of his liking during his night out drinking with the wife apparently. His delivery of telling me he doesn't want my child on the dancefloor, followed by lies was unacceptable. Its ashame because the staff there is Phenomenal. He would be better off allowing his manager Kate do the talking if he doesn't like something in his drunken pugnacious state.“

“Staying in town for a couple of nights to visit Longwood Gardens, kinda dumbed into choosing Letty's seeking a diverse menu.

Honestly, we liked the many dishes that included mushrooms. We are big fans and when in mushroom country like this, you have to take advantage.

The craft beer selection is good, cocktail list looked very tempting and there is a decent wine selection. We enjoyed Tired Hands Crushable Church. A good hazy with under 5% ABV.

We started with the mushroom arancini, which were delicious. Came as a set of 3 small arancini, perfect for two people.

I enjoyed the mushroom pizza which is a flavorful combination of fontina cheese, mixed sautéed mushroom blend and sautéed sliced mushrooms. Crust was crispy and crunchy. Good combination. My wife enjoyed the mushroom Po Boy sandwich, also a good choice.

They do pass the 3% credit card fee onto the customer just so you are aware.

Overall it was a good choice and a delicious meal. When we return to the area, we will definitely make sure we eat here again.“

“We love this IHOP! We live in New Castle, but we travel to this one all the time! Everyone is always pleasant when you walk in, they all speak, smile and even the manager was singing along to the music playing. She also made sure to let us know of the upcoming NEW menu items. We usually have Tim as our server and he is always on point! Very personable and he talks to everyone like they are in there every day! The food always comes out hot and looks just like what you order from the menu! I used the restroom and when I passed other servers/workers, they all speak and look like they actually want to be there, which is a nice feeling. The manager was checking the restrooms and she spoke and was very pleasant, which was very clean! You have a great crew here at this location, that is what keeps us coming back! “A great venue, not far from the UD campus right on the river. Good food at decent prices. Their upstairs venue space is awesome. We are there monthly for the Vanguard Event and they go out of their way with custom drinks and great service. 10/10 would recommend!“

“Big shoutout to Giordano’s!! My husband and I had a small courthouse wedding and had about 15 people come to dinner afterwards in one of the private rooms. We were promptly greeted and the manager came in to greet us as well and gave my 2 year old nephew a giant cookie to keep him occupied while we got settled in. All of the staff was very helpful and attentive. They made sure to meet all of our needs and double check that there was no alcohol in one of the entrees sauces and even had it remade to make sure for us. The bartender came over and helped us wrap up our leftover cake so we could save it for our one year anniversary as well. All around a wonderful experience. I haven’t been since before renovations when I worked there and was impressed with all of the updates. It is more modern but still comfortable and the food is absolutely wonderful! As a large group, we ordered quite the variety of entree’s and they were all wonderful! Thank you Gios for a wonderful day my husband and I will never forget!“

“We just enjoyed a wonderful meal this evening. We started with the buratta app. Fresh buratta with tomato jam and chopped kalamata olives, the perfect blend of sweet and salty. I then had the shrimp and grits for my entree and it was also good. The "holy" trinity sauce was quite flavorful. I'm so glad I ventured from my normal order, which had also always been yummy.“
