Scoogis is everything you want in a dining experience. Great energy in the dining rooms, high-quality service, atmosphere, great menu, great desert. Scoogis feels like home and the staff and owners should be proud of what they have accomplished here. Will certainly be back for more. A truly special restaurant.“

The service was amazing throughout the meal, I wish I got the servers name as he was really an incredibly friendly young man who clearly knew the menu very well. The atmosphere is wonderful and the interior is just lovely. In terms of the food, I had the wild boar bolognese which was a special that night, and it was AMAZING!! “The homemade pasta is really excellent. The texture was perfectly toothsome. I got the cacio e pepperoncini (vegan option) and it was quite good, though the sauce wasn’t my favorite. It felt very oily and I’m not sure if that’s a product of veganizing the sauce. I loved the tangy spice of the pepperoncini though.

The shishito peppers were good, but fairly standard blistered peppers like I’ve had at many other restaurants. The almond / mint sauce was quite nice though.

The plates are generously portioned.

“I had dinner at La Sera the other day and was impressed. The appetizers were delicious--we had the calamari, cozze, and mushrooms. All were delicious, but the mushrooms were phenomenal. For entrees, our table had the ribeye, veal ripieno, spaghetti and meatballs, and ravioli rosa. Everyone loved their food.

And I must give a special shout out to Meritan. I realized the next day that I left my hat at the restaurant and I had already left for the airport to return to Florida. I connected with Meritan who I coordinated with to have it shipped to my house.

In all, La Sera offers delicious food and service from good people. I will certainly be back.“

Buona Sera Havertown has a warm welcoming atmosphere, excellent staff and a great menu of everyone’s favorites. Since 2022, this throwback has been a favorite in town. The shrimp pastas was excellent But the hit was the Scaloppine Alla Cardinale veal scaloppine sauteed with white wine, prosciutto, mozzarella and topped with roasted peppers.. The menu includes enough veal, seafood, chicken, sausage, and steak entrees to make choosing just one a challenge. Oh and yes the calamari and fresh mozzarella apps were bellissimo! Homemade desserts galore…need more reasons to go? No.“
