“Great service and wonderfully delicious food. Quite an exhausive wine list. Would definitely recommend this restaurant yearning for fine French dinning with a creative modern taste.”
“I've been wanting to discover this restaurant for a long time! 2 of us went there and we ate well! We were seated at the bar overlooking the kitchen. I had a hotaru ika mazemen which was very good! I had never seen or eaten hotaru ika, it was an excellent surprise. We also had sashimi as a starter and... to die for! An excellent experience!”
“Excellent restaurant! Impeccable, friendly and courteous service! Succulent scallops! Exceptional cod! Fine wine! Delicious desserts! A celebration for the palace! We hope to return...”
“It’s amazing. They took the time to give coffee and umbrellas to people who were waiting to come in. Who does that? They do. Go now for the Cabane a sucre platter”
“I would have to say that this was absolutely one of the best meals we’ve ever had!!! We started with a plate of Oysters that were perfect! We had the Arctic Char for 2 with a side of Gnocchi and Caesar salad the fusion of flavour in the sauce on the Char was heavenly. The fish was done to perfection!! The Gnocchi was unlike any we had ever had and the herb oil drizzle highlighted the perfect texture and flavour of the gnocchi. The deconstructed Caesar was perfect!! We finished the meal off with the Maple Creme Brûlée. The entire staff were friendly supportive and knowledgeable from the moment we walked in!! C’est Manifique!! Bravo!!!”
“Service was impeccable. We sat at the bar - the bartender (David) was knowledgeable, friendly, excellent. He seemed too be the busiest person in the restaurant, yet always had a moment to check on us - I have no complaints - our meal was superb - although I might say the desert was "ordinary" while our entree and main courses were superb - I had the swordfish, my wife the black cod. A bit pricey, yet, the ambience, service and flavourful meal give reason for this.”
“The disappointment was probably linked to the expectations being too high because clearly it is good. It's even very good. The wine list is not up to par, however. The nice surprise is the very reasonable bill. So the value for money is really crazy.”
“Everything is super nice! The food is good (the fries are delicious), the alcohol menu is impeccable and the service (from Sabrina) was attentive and warm! I recommend!”
“Best restaurant in Montreal. Food, atmosphere, service are excellent. Just try once and I guarantee you will always want to come back. Кушайте на здоровье и получайте истинное удовольствие от русской и европейской кухни. Особая благодарность хозяйке за её труд и доброту души. СПАСИБО!!!”
“Nora Grey is a highly celebrated restaurant in Montreal. In terms of service and atmosphere, I can see why. The food though? Good, but way overpriced. Like WAY overpriced.60$ for half a bavette, and a salad that's been hit with an Exterminatus of parmesan. To illustrate why this is crazy, a steak-frites at Au Pied De Cochon is 40$.45$ for gnocchi, fettucini ragu and 2 other pasta dishes. The food ia good, don't get me wrong, but nothing about it stands out to justify the price point. And frankly, I make a better ragu.Being italian, it's hard to recommend ANY italian place, but unless you're trying to impress someone who's never had italian food, I would not recommend going.”
“On a adoré ! cocktail, huitres et tartare de bar, poisson frit en entrée, suivi des parpadelles et de la pieuvre, sans oublier les cannolis miammmmm! Excellent service et ambiance dynamique. Nous reviendrons.”
“This is a spectacular French restaurant. My friend and I took a day trip to Montreal and found this place on google. We walked in without a reservation and the maître d' was kind enough to seat us as long as we’d be finished by his next reservation. The service was excellent. Since we had to drive back to The States after our visit, the waitress recommended a half bottle of Chardonnay, which was very good. We shared the arancini and bone marrow to start. For our entrees, I had the hanger steak with mashed potatoes and my friend had the duck confit. All of the was delicious and perfectly cooked. The ambiance here is excellent as well. I’d highly recommend coming here if you’re going to be in Montreal.”
“Fun atmosphere, good drinks, delicious brownies and kind staff. Plus the original way to get in the building through a hidden door and doorbell was a nice touch adding to the overall experience.”
“Finally an edomae style omakase in Montréal! each nigiri was a piece of art and the kaiseki was amazing. Even if it was a take out, it was well worth it. Can't wait to try the experience at the restaurant!”
“On a adoré ! cocktail, huitres et tartare de bar, poisson frit en entrée, suivi des parpadelles et de la pieuvre, sans oublier les cannolis miammmmm! Excellent service et ambiance dynamique. Nous reviendrons.”
“Brendan and his team made this such a wonderful and fun experience! The food is so good, I was solo and ordered the half portion of salad twice (!) Don’t miss if in Montreal!”
“L'ambiance du restaurant en soirée était parfaite pour notre groupe de 5. La serveuse Ève a réussi à me charmer avec son charisme et son humour et faire de notre soirée un évènement que nous n'oublierons pas de si tôt. À refaire sans contredit!”
“I loved my evening at the hostel! The innkeeper (waiter) was exceptional, attentive and even funny! I went there to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday, accompanied by our friends, everyone loved their evening. It was quite an expensive bill, but for me it was worth it, I didn't hesitate for a second to give a good tip, since the service was second to none. The service was pleasant, the atmosphere was unique and the singer (?) was really quite a spectacle. The food was super good and so were my cocktails! It was a great experience I will go back! Thank you for the beautiful evening!”
“One of the absolute best meals I have ever had! I sat at the bar and enjoyed fantastic explanations from Chef while Emille (manager on duty) was an amazing host!”
“Really nice experience overall. The place was cozy and welcoming, with a really intimate ambiance. The menu was five or six appetizer plates, and five or six main plates. Seeing other photos of the menu I guess they rotate the plate quite often. All the options were really appealing, and we are really happy with what we ordered. The price is expensive, but for a different restaurant experience it was nice. We really enjoyed it.Vegetarian options: There were no vegetarian options”
“We are family of 5 , today we arrive at 6pm place it's packed nice ambiance lots of choice for food . We choose Climat for our dinner, good food quality nice service from friendly Asian man . He even can explain menu in Chinese it's very convenient for us. Food 10/10 definitely worth to try, don't forgot to try pouding chomeur is local traditional dessert served with ice cream on top they even put more maple syrup. Don't hesitate, whoever tries it will know! Each dish is a cheap and large bowl type. Chinese people passing by can ask the owner to say hello and order food without speaking English or French!Vegetarian options: pouding chomer rissotto”
“I was looking forward to coming here for a while and what luck ! They are participating in burger week! I got the truffe burger with potato wedges and cha cha colada “milkshake”. Everything was so perfectly delicious. It’s not amazing because it is vegan, it’s amazing period. The staff was very friendly and informative. Im looking forward to my next visit - very soon. Oh and they have other restaurants with different concepts and menus im exciting to go try out too!”
“ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS.Perfect balance of sweet and salty, fluffy and crispy, buttery and flaky…all the things Whatever you plan to order, get extra. Especially if you are visiting. Yes, it is that good.”
“A friend recommended this cosy awesome restaurant and today, I was passing by and decided to discover LeDon Donburi. Honestly the appetizer and main dish was delicious. The desert was succulent, I practically licked the bowl clean… actually a client was sitting nearby and said to me: “you know we all lick the bowl”. LOL The owner behind the counter is quite cool and has great conversation. Next time, I come out of the country, I’ll stop by again and hang out. I think they are open 4 pm till 10 pm, 5 days a week… reasonable hours, means for a business owner like myself, who comes to town every now and then. I’ll have time to come back and eat a great meal after my errands, before heading up home up north. It’s lovely to eat well till 10 pm! :-) Even the customers are cool! Thanks to the whole LeDon Donburi crew, I’ll be back!”
“commandé 2 plateaux de 30 morceaux ch. il est arrivé avec 1 plateau et après le décompte il y avait que 50 morceaux. Après commandé 5 repas reçu 4 et 15 min.à 20 min. plus tard reçu la 5ième entrée on m'avait oublié, pour se racheter il nous on offre 2 entrées genre oeuf visceux moyen comme goût. Désolé pour le service. A+”
“Discovered this great little place. if you're looking for a place for wings and a beer, look no further! excellent atmosphere and staff (Jesse, Brooklyn and Alice).”
“An almost perfect dinner.By nature, man develops fewer thoughts on the reasons for his happiness than for his unhappiness: the first is a green light, the second is a red one. So, although I was struck by the virtuosity of the meal and the graceful harmony of the decor, I replayed in my mind the only negative aspect of my visit: the appearance of detachment in the reception. I would like people to like seeing me, as much as I like seeing others. This desire is not a matter of pride – I am not offended – I only need human warmth. I can count myself well off, however, because I was still in the presence of a wonderful friend who makes every moment more joyful and meaningful.By arriving early on Sunday, we often ensure we are the first customers. This is not necessarily intended, but oh so pleasant! A providential privilege. A room for us, a chef for us, a feeling of freedom and pleasure increased tenfold. The smell of cooking that wafted into our nostrils foreshadowed the treat to come for our palates. As a matter of fact — I mentioned it to you earlier — the soft coconut bread sandwiches were sublime, bursting with flavor, the BBQ pork remaining our favorite, with the jerk chicken following closely behind. Also devoured was a succulent potato salad, off the menu. Am I hallucinating or were the prices incredibly low ($8 for an entrée, $12 for a sandwich) for so much goodness?I offered my compliments to the chef on numerous occasions and my insistence finally bore fruit in the form of a hint of a smile from her. Even if one of the goals of a eulogy is to give the praiser a pleasant emotion through his smiling acceptance, I was not trying to get into his good graces. I simply wanted to express my gratitude for this wonderful moment.I sincerely hope you go there as soon as you have the chance. The delights and ambiance of Lucki Delite reminded me why I fell in love with the Montreal culinary scene.Vegetarian options: Squash sandwichParking: Parking spaces all along Avenue du Parc. Charges based on time.Kid-friendliness: I wouldn't dare say too much, but it's more of a restaurant where you can eat for two.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, plenty of space to move around.”
“We came here as a stop for lunch during a trip back from Tremblant as one of the members of our party has a gluten sensitivity. The people running the stand were incredibly accommodating and assuring of our allergies and sensitivities. The buckwheat crepes were fantastic. They are not like normal crepes and have a fantastic crunch and texture on the edges. I personally had the Oessant and it was fantastic. The market here also has a lot to offer to a great place to stop.Dietary restrictions: Everything is gluten free, they have many vegan options as well”
“Well I'm changing my opinion, because I see that Arelio and Angi are no longer the owners, so my opinion no longer has any reason to exist, I'm still going to leave the 5 stars and come and test the change, to having worked for them for a long time in the 3 restaurants they have in 30 years I know the recipes and their way of doing things very, very well, so I am curious to see if the new owners have been able to keep the authenticity of the recipes like mentioned. As a professional chef when you make changes you do it to improve what is wrong and you don't touch what makes you successfulAt pizzarella their strength was precisely their pizza, submarine and in my opinion everything that was dough, skewer etc. their weak point simply because the kitchen was not equipped to make really good sautéed dough and excellent grilled meats, so change things to simply reduce the food cost is perhaps a mistake since obviously sales seem to be affected, so see you soon I will come and taste the new pizzarella.”
