“The menu was unique and the waiter did an amazing job of explaining the dishes. In addition, an extra treat, chef Robert came to the table. The service was great and we were encouraged to try food that we otherwise might not have tried. The tuna main was excellent, as well as the pork shank.“

“Great! The dishes are straight, clear flavors, very fresh. Our seats at the bar (wood oven) were superb for a cold winter evening. Beautiful natural wine list with some of the best producers in Jura. The prices are in the high quantity/price range but justified when at the end of the evening there is nothing negative to say.“

“A solid five stars! ⭐️ The ham was sliced so thin it melted in the mouth (made us wanting to buy a cutting machine). The Shishito peppers (a daily special) were perfectly grilled to perfection. The wines were both funky and delicious. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between cool and relaxing. Absolutely nothing to complain, and we can’t wait to visit again!“

“Tucked away at the back of a church this restaurant is truly a hidden gem. We sat at the chefs table and were able to see all the food being prepared and ask the chefs more details about the food. We had the wine pairing menu which was excellent. Our server was very accommodating as one of the wines was not to our taste and they quickly replaced it with an excellent choice. The flavours in each course were delicious and made want to savour every bite. We will definitely be returning to Restaurant Candide again.“

“Really good fancy-ish restaurant with some incredible food!

For appetizers, we got the oysters and we were really impressed with the plating, taste, and especially the horseradish garnish. But that didn’t even compare to how good the beef tartare was which we cleared real quick. It had a kind of French onion dip with either roasted potato squares or croutons (we couldn’t figure out which). I really hope I can try to replicate that or get it somewhere back home!

Then for the main course, my cousin got the lobster spaghetti, which was a lot of food so she shared some with us and it was really great! I got the roasted duck and peach which had a really good demi-glace sauce. The duck was very tender and meaty which paired well with the sweetness of the roasted peach.“

“Had the most amazing evening here tonight with my son. Tasting menu was amazing. More importantly though, we were taken care of so very well. It almost made me cry. It was almost twenty years between my first time eating here and tonight. I hope I can come back again much sooner.
Edit: I just remembered a moment that seemed almost innocuous at the time, but thinking about it now has me in happy tears. My son needed to use the restroom and wanted me to come with him to help find it. When we returned two our table, two of the staff that were serving us were standing at our table waiting to help us back into our seats.
You guys could not have made this a more memorable experience. It was utterly flawless.

“This came highly recommended from work colleagues.
A bit overhyped in my opinion.
We got the tasting menu and added the Bourgot Miso.
Food had interesting flavor combinations and very experimental but not memorable and not something we would return for, except for the Bourgot Miso (but seriously only 2 pieces of bread???)
We had good service initially but there was a lull of about 30-40 minutes between services. Being first time clients here, our waitress didn't come back to the table even once to see how we were liking the food.
It was very loud and hard to talk, but very decorated, very homey and quirky. Couldn't hear my partner talk because of the music.
For the amount you pay here, there are better options out there.“

“Overall, our night for 2 was amazing. We went on Friday April 11th from 7pm to 9h30.

Excellent: service was truly amazing (she was funny, kind, attentive), ambiance and vibes were immaculate, our gravlax entrée left us speechless, good portions for tapas style, the matcha crème brûlée wow!, cocktails are expensive (≈20$) but definitely worth it, and 3 course for 25$ was a steal. Focaccia was amazing too.

Good: the main dishes lacked a little flavour… the pasta was good, but nothing that can’t be whipped up at home under 30 mins.

To be improved: our main dishes took quite a long time to arrive, but understandable as it was busy and the server made sure to check up often.

Disappointed: we were left disappointed by the Asian short ribs that really lacked flavour and sauce. Mainly we were disappointed because the rice was quite undercooked.

But we left this place happy, we ate well, had great cocktails, and for 150$ in total it was worth it (tip and taxes incl.) for 2x 3 courses, 2 cocktails and a beer, foccacia and saucission extra (great portion). We’ll come back :)“

“Went here last night with my wife, and 10 year old daughter. Great location, wonderful and friendly staff. We had raw oysters, lobster fettuccine, risotto, bone marrow, a couple drinks and dessert. Was great food, and experience. We would definitely return next time we are in town.“

Can't go wrong with the Oyster starter, the delectable goat cheese balls and artichoke dip.
The lobster ravioli were the star of the show, simply delectable every time.
We followed this with the lobster/shrimp rolls to share and savoury linguine in garlic oil.

It's one of our usual haunts and despite it being a rainy, chilly Saturday night, it still had a cool vibe with a few parties going on.

“I was totally impressed by the friendly service and hard workers trying to satisfy all their clients. The atmosphere is perfect and the food is the best I have had in a long time! I have tried several items on the menu and each one was delicious! You can tell the Chef has plenty of experience and takes pride in what he prepares for his customers!
