“One of the best meals we had in Montreal, and we particularly enjoyed the Bluefin Tartare, Maitake, and Kohlrabi. The sauce used for the Kohlrabi had a nice spicy punch which was really nice. The Grassfed Angus Beef was juicy and tender too!

“The menu was unique and the waiter did an amazing job of explaining the dishes. In addition, an extra treat, chef Robert came to the table. The service was great and we were encouraged to try food that we otherwise might not have tried. The tuna main was excellent, as well as the pork shank.“

“A solid five stars! ⭐️ The ham was sliced so thin it melted in the mouth (made us wanting to buy a cutting machine). The Shishito peppers (a daily special) were perfectly grilled to perfection. The wines were both funky and delicious. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between cool and relaxing. Absolutely nothing to complain, and we can’t wait to visit again!“

“Tucked away at the back of a church this restaurant is truly a hidden gem. We sat at the chefs table and were able to see all the food being prepared and ask the chefs more details about the food. We had the wine pairing menu which was excellent. Our server was very accommodating as one of the wines was not to our taste and they quickly replaced it with an excellent choice. The flavours in each course were delicious and made want to savour every bite. We will definitely be returning to Restaurant Candide again.“

“Beautiful food and service! A bit pricey- an occasional splurge. Had the halibut - cooked to perfection with squash and a burned butter sauce with pumpkin seeds - delicious. Partner had Jagerschnitzel - good sized portion with delicious mushroom sauce. Service by waiter and busboy very attentive and friendly.“

“It was so good. I rarely give reviews online, but this was definitely worth it. Everything was great and the food was so flavorful. The only thing, I would have appreciated if the server did a last call at our table and asked if we wanted something else before closing the kitchen (like most places do for food and bar) because I would have ordered dessert before the kitchen closed...I was celebrating a birthday. Otherwise, everything was good.“

“I think that my overall experience would have been better if i had my food on a sunny day. I had the small classic poutine.
The server took my order promptly. I like the gravy is not too salty and the cheese curb was fresh. I will go back for more other choices.“

“What an exquisite atmosphere! I could hardly tell the difference form this restaurant from the actual cave i visited in Afghanistan when i was 12 years old. They served me a samosa that was an absolute delicacy. I prefer these samosas to the indian ones!!! The servers were incredibly polite despite the fact i do not understand arabic! 10/10!“

“I was totally impressed by the friendly service and hard workers trying to satisfy all their clients. The atmosphere is perfect and the food is the best I have had in a long time! I have tried several items on the menu and each one was delicious! You can tell the Chef has plenty of experience and takes pride in what he prepares for his customers!
