“Spotted at Café Ricardo for lunch. The café as absolutely charming and cozy. It's definitely giving homey vibes and I love that! Considering my zodiac sign is Cancer, anything that makes me feel at home I am all for it! I ordered The Gnocchi was absolutely mouthwatering. The first bite I took literally lifted up my soul and took me through a journey of magnificent flavours. The chewyness and touch of crunch of the gnocchi to the sweetness of the carrot purée is just genius. HIGHLY RECOMMEND you get this dish. The sausage Breakfast sandwich was my least favourite if I am being honest. It just didn't do it for me unfortunately. The salad also was not it. Wouldn't recommend this dish. Cauliflower soup was perfect. So creamy and delicious. Exactly what I needed on this chilly snowy day. I also love the garnish of cauliflower and croutons on top. Gave that nice touch of texture! Fried Chicken was absolutely delicious. The flavours were definitely on point ! But I have to say I was pretty disappointed that they called it fried chicken because there was absolutely ZERO crunch to it. It was pretty soft. I was expecting some crunchy fried chicken. Didn't give me fried chicken energy whatsoever therefor it lost a couple points in my book. I'm Caribbean so if you say fried chicken, you better give me some FRIED CRUNCHY CHICKEN! Pear Sour was my choice of beverage. Amaretto, Pear Nectar, lemon and a syrup made in house. Perfect refreshing and calming drink! I see a new summer drink arising! For dessert I got their Caramel dessert that comes in a mason jar. Absolutely delicious, it has all the texture you desire. Crunch, Chewy, creamy ahh and the touch of salt is just perfect! And guess what! WE GET TO KEEP THE MASON JAR! The service was absolutely incredible. Love love my server! They also have a store where you can purchase their products which is pretty cool :) Check them out ! Follow Sotastywithnady on instagram for a more visual review.“
“We celebrated my daughter's 40th birthday a week ago. We would like to thank the entire Ricardo team, all without exception offered us an outstanding and professional service. The food was excellent and the room service truly remarkable. They were able to accommodate us at the last minute for children who were added without prior reservation. We certainly recommend Le Café Ricardo for your private activities. We are certain that it will be an experience that will be repeated. Thank you for everything !! Congratulations to the whole team.“
“The food was amazing! We ordered the Duck foie gras poutine, the pork chop, Duck in a Can and Pudding Chomeur for dessert. We couldn't be more impressed with the flavour and the quality of our meal. Our server was fantastic and was very thorough in taking us through the menu. We were sat at a deuce table in front of the service area which was very busy and chaotic. We felt several times that the servers or staff would fall into us but instead ended up bumping into each other to navigate the narrow aisle. There really wasn't enough room for the table and the staff in that area. But we were very glad to have had the experience at this wonderful restaurant and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.“
“Went to several great tables recently and this place didn't disappoint. Some risk, would have loved to see more creativity from such a renowned place (that's why 4 stars and not 3). Portions were on the small side (I took 2 appetizers). Service however was on point, taste was excellent and cooking done perfect. Very picky of me to give 4 stars but Vin Mon Lapin the night prior and Monarque on Thursday were a match, with a little extra. I would come back to club Chasse et Pêche. Very close tin mu book to 5 stars (4.5 can't give 1/2).“
“This place is the discovery to be made in the Hochelaga sector. The menu is very sophisticated, the flavors are complex and subtle. The service is extraordinary. The number of servers per person is just ideal so that they have time to talk to us about what is on our plates. The menu changes at a constant rate throughout the seasons. The decor is warm and the acoustics are pleasant. It's a little expensive but worth it if you like to explore. And now we can start or end the evening at the Copilote clandestine bar which is located right next door and is operated by the same owner.“
“We celebrated a trio of birthdays while we were visiting Montreal. Nolan is super cool vibes and cozy. We let our waiter who I believe is one of the owners curate a menu for our group of 6 at a price point that we set. Felt like we had a great variety of food and good portions and they were able to accommodate some items for my dietary preferences. The food was really good but what was the best was the service. The workers were warm and so friendly and we stayed many hours enjoying the vibes. Highly recommend!“
“Loved everything about Mastard. The cocktails were phenomenal, I had the colada which was perfectly balanced and delicious. My husband had their green, herb drink Which was also absolutely delicious, very fresh. We started with an amuse bouche which was delicious. We added the wine pairings but just one since there was 12 oz of wine total (3 per course) and we wanted to have a cocktail as well without getting completely drunk. Splitting the pairing was the perfect amount and the wines were delicious - white which I normally don’t prefer but perfectly paired.Everything was absolutely beautiful, well balanced and had exceptional flavor. I enjoyed every bite - I’ve dined at a lot of Montreal restaurants but this one took the cake. While it’s expensive, it’s completely worth it. The flavor, service, atmosphere- all wonderful. And the best part for me? You leave satisfied and not still hungry. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a lovely experience!Dietary restrictions: They were excellent at accommodating my gluten and corn allergy - I was able to enjoy all the dishes without much modification to the dishes I could see.“
“First experience at Vin Papillon. First of all, the place is small, the tables are close to each other, that surprised me a little! The service, although immaculate, was however very quick at the start of the meal, perhaps a little too much. Afterwards, it adjusted, it was less rushed and more pleasant! However, the quality of the dishes was up to par. It's excellent. It's creative, delicious! The ham is a must, as is the dessert, carrot cake ice cream sandwich.Excellent choice of wine. All quite affordable! 7 shared dishes, 2 glasses of wine, dessert and coffee for $100.It's wonderfull ! A 5 star without a doubt!!!“
“One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Montreal! Every dish was delicious, and I really recommend the fennel salad and lemon yuzu ganache. The service was excellent, and the price was surprisingly not too high considering the restaurant’s high quality. I definitely hope to come back here again!“
“100% satisfaits de notre souper avant d'aller à un spectacle à la Place des Arts. Conseils judicieux de notre serveuse. Portions généreuses et nourrissantes. Plats savoureux. Service rapide et chaleureux. Merci à notre serveuse Isabelle pour son sourire radieux!“
“The food is art and tastes AMAZING! We let the chef choose for us, and every single dish that was served was a 10 out of 10. The cocktails were great too ... and the ambiance ... si magnifique! Can't wait to return on our next trip to Montreal.“
“Went here last night with my wife, and 10 year old daughter. Great location, wonderful and friendly staff. We had raw oysters, lobster fettuccine, risotto, bone marrow, a couple drinks and dessert. Was great food, and experience. We would definitely return next time we are in town.“
“I had an incredible 3-hour experience with their 7-course tasting menu! My favorites were the beef steak, quail, and two desserts. The beef and quail were exceptionally tender, and the accompanying sauces were bursting with flavor. Both dishes had a divine aroma when they arrived. Even though I’m not usually a fan of sweet dishes, I thoroughly enjoyed their desserts. They struck a perfect balance, not overly sweet, and the sorbet with sponge cake combination was delightful. The meal began with a brown butter mousse amuse-bouche, followed by the sea urchin as the first course. While the brown butter mousse was delicious, the sea urchin lacked a bit of its distinctive flavor for my taste. Unfortunately, the complimentary bread was served cold and didn’t make much of an impression compared to the other outstanding dishes. The service was fantastic. They efficiently cleaned our table, and water and wine refills were prompt. However, I found the ambiance to be a bit noisy compared to Europea, where I had dined previously. Overall, it was a memorable night at this restaurant.“
“Good service- not great. Had to request more water and another glass of wine after waiting over 30 minutes. We were seated at the bar and it was a fairly busy night but often staff were available and and chatting. Food was very good but not particularly inventive. This may sound picky but the polenta was floury- not creamy or buttery or cheesy . A small detail but noticeable.“
“Tucked away at the back of a church this restaurant is truly a hidden gem. We sat at the chefs table and were able to see all the food being prepared and ask the chefs more details about the food. We had the wine pairing menu which was excellent. Our server was very accommodating as one of the wines was not to our taste and they quickly replaced it with an excellent choice. The flavours in each course were delicious and made want to savour every bite. We will definitely be returning to Restaurant Candide again.“
“Je vous recommande ce restos de quartier..Bouffe trad Quebecoise cuisinée style maison..De plus, le proprios est très sympathique et surtout passionné par l'art culinaire. Si vous êtes perdu dans le plateau et que la fringalle vous pogne..vous savez où aller cogner..“
“Wow what a culinary experience! And what impeccable service! Everything was perfect ! Congratulations to the entire Pastel team!Do you want to live an extraordinary culinary experience?!I suggest you reserve your place quickly within the next 2 weeks.“
“J'ai adoré! Jolie petit resto avec une ambiance très agréable. La serveuse était très agréable, gentille et attentionnée. Un délicieux smoked meat servi avec frites, délicieuse petite sauce et cornichon dans un jolie panier à un prix correct. Tout était parfait, je recommande.“
“I love this place. I’ve been several times and I’m only ever disappointed by their proclivity for natural wines. Otherwise it’s an easy can’t miss spot. The menu is constantly updated but there’s always a few staples that are worth a shot. I recommend the gnocchi and the oysters are always tops too.“
“This here pub made mw feel at home the 1st day I sat down here . The staff are a wonderful mix bunch of RocknRollers artist and just groovy people!Get your chicken wings or come check out the Xmas Dinner - Heartwarming !Thoughtful and kind… Say hi to Jay!“
“Great service from Floor cleaner, warning of wet slippery floor, order taker, and food preparers. However, I miss my Coca-Cola products and the great Hot Chocolate Harveys's used to make. I love customizing my burger and having a choice in my sides.“
“I’ve tried many of the dishes and each time I am over the moon! You can feel the love in every bite. The atmosphere is cozy and the playlist is always perfect to set the vibe. The server Alejandro is absolutely wonderful. 10/10 would recommend!“
“We pulled up to park outside and saw a line for this place and decided to jump on in hopes the ice cream was good (that method works very well in Japan, so we thought it would in Canada too). Even though the line was long, the guy working the counter was providing quick and efficient service, so our wait did not last too long. My friend and I tried the chocolate, cardamom, and maple between the two of us. All of the flavors were delicious! We also really appreciated the workers proficiency in both French and English. I’d highly recommend this place, regardless of the wait.Vegetarian options: There were many vegan flavors.“
“I visited this coffee shop four times during a week stay in old Montreal. The coffee (I got flat whites) was consistently very good. The service was always friendly. They serve oat milk as a default (though regular milk is also an option) at no extra charge. I very much appreciate their effort in helping us all shift towards more sustainable choices by making them both affordable and delicious. Good looking pastries too!Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian savory scones and one of two sandwich options is vegetarian.“
“An extraordinary culinary experience. We ate so well, I recommend it and I will return there with friends in the coming weeks for sure. The service was fast and impeccable. We loved the warm atmosphere and the natural decoration. My star of the day, the onion soup. Thanks again.“
“The food is delicious, well presented, and original. The chef tasting menu is totally worth it and can be tailored to your needs (ex. no meat). The service is excellent!A great place for sharing a meal in good company.Dietary restrictions: We had the tasting menu without meat.“
“Exceptional place and gastronomy! What great times we had! We also had the privilege of having Charles-Antoine Crête for a few minutes at our table to mark our mother's 79th birthday!!! Everything was perfect !Parking: On St-Hubert Street or in the 2 public parking lots on St-André Street“
“Vraiment une belle place pour déguster ! Excellent service et la personne qui nous a service connaît bien les sortes et ces subtilités!! Étions arrivé pour dégustation de 4 verres et avons terminés par plusieurs belles découvertes. !! On y reviendra c'est certain! Même une stout était vraiment bonne et ce n'est pas dans nos goûts habituellement !“
“I can't say enough good things about Brasserie Bernard! The food never disappoints, the ambiance is "chaleureux" and the service always attentive, friendly and professional. It is one of our favorite restaurants in Montréal and there is zero pretension!“
“Wow! What a great discovery! Everything is perfect, the decor, the atmosphere, the attentive staff and what can we say about the food! Simply delicious! The cod and scallops are perfect! I recommend it without hesitation, you will not be disappointed.“
“I recently visited Liverpool House in Montreal and had a fantastic experience! The ambiance was charming, and the service was top-notch. Although parking was limited on the street, it was well worth it for the delicious food and excellent wine selection. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in the city!“
“Perfect & walking distance to everything, including Bell Centre where we enjoyed a fantastic show. Exceptional hospitality from Mr. St-Onge & staff at Marriott Chateau Champlain made our stay unforgettable. End of Winter view in pic.“
“Possibly the best experience I've had in a café and God knows I've visited cafés in Montreal and around the world. Rachel and Alexandre were lovely and very attentive, they provide a customer experience that exceeds expectations. In addition, the menu offered is delicious and truly comprehensive for a café open at the end of the day, offering bistro-style French gastronomy. We all loved the soup of the day and the fresh bread offered on the side. A perfect place for snack or late night munchies. The desserts are to die for. Succulent is an understatement. I recommend and I will definitely return soon!“
“This place has a very welcoming atmosphere, the service was very good, polite and fast. The menu has very decent options for different palates so nobody can feel left out. My food was just mouth watering. Everyone I was with cleaned off their plates. The owner is a top class gentlemen. I think this restaurant is an absolute gem, perfect for date night or a get together with friends. My only regret is that I haven’t experienced the terrace yet.Parking: Can be difficult finding parking but well worth it“
“Frankly friendly bosses. It seems that the employees are well treated: they are super welcoming and passionate. We taste the best poutine on the island for us, especially the one with ground beef and sautéed onions (don't worry about the i: it's the reformed spelling since 1990!).We leave the place with clothes that smell of frying, but that's the price to pay for eating excellent snack food, in a retro atmosphere without being kitsch. If we could have washable glasses and plates instead of disposable ones, that would be happiness!“
“Meilleur brunch de Montréal ! Exceptionnel, j’ai pris l’assiette du Caribou et une assiette sucrée (gaufre, brioche perdue…) tout est local et fait maison. La cuisine a du goût, des saveurs, une quantité très généreuse. Le service est rapide et parfait. Jamais mangé un brunch aussi bon de ma vie ! Merci Caribou Gourmand pour ce moment parfait.“
“Clearly the place to go for brunch on the weekend at a bargain price without having to make a line-up! The breakfast options are still limited to eggs, omelettes, pancakes and French toast, but it does it very well for those who cannot afford a brunch at $30-40 per person :-/ The service was impeccable and the retro atmosphere of the restaurant is absolutely perfect :-)“
“When you enter Le Lundi, you feel like you're going to eat with a friend in a Montreal apartment. The decor is sober but the atmosphere warm, with wood, plants and windows which let in all the light. Behind the seemingly simple dishes hide a thought process, and a desire to highlight Quebec products, without getting lost in too much mixture of ingredients. It's good and the staff is always very welcoming.“
“Équipe EXTRAORDINAIRE ! Service impeccable et nourriture excellente. Je suis accueillie avec chaleur et joie depuis j’ai déménagé dans le quartier en juillet. JF, Mathieu, Manu, Gab, Isaac, Kevin, Pénélope, et tous les autres sont des beaux êtres humains! ❤️“
“I really love this café and especially the new coworking space. I've never felt so good in a café, you're far from home but I make the trip without any problem to be able to come and spend the afternoon here with an almond latte, a feel good (good god it's good that) and a carrot cake in front of my PC.Top service, very friendly! Quality products, and the decoration… what can I say other than that I’m a fan. Working in decoration and being passionate about vintage, I am simply in love with this place.Thank you for everything ?“
“Les omelettes for 10 Canadian dollars helps me to feel harmony.Pizza, vegan options, steak, pepperoni, bacon and cheese, tuna, pain Dore are good.Vegetarian options: Vegan pizza, ?Dietary restrictions: Salads are availableKid-friendliness: Good for kidsWheelchair accessibility: Not so easy to come, but possibly. Stuff are fragile and sweet“
“I loved. The atmosphere and the staff are incredible. The food is very good and what about the drinks? I'm very picky about cocktails. It's extremely rare that I say "wow" and here... it happened twice. An excellent discovery and I can't wait to go back.“
“This little bistro is a real discovery! We were pleasantly surprised by the diversity and quality of the lunch menu, particularly the variety of tartars offered. Choosing from the different types of tartares was a real pleasure, and each of them was tasty in its own way. The warm ambiance of the bistro added to our dining experience, allowing us to fully enjoy our lunch. Overall, it was a very satisfying experience, and we are already planning to return to explore more of what this bistro has to offer.“
“We reserved for a big group in the back room. Lots of good drinks, lots of food from the set family style menu and we loved having a space for ourselves that still felt connected to the restaurant. Would definitely reserve for a big group again. Fernando was helpful through the whole process.“
“Delicious on a whole new level!! ?Appetizer: stripped bass crudo and bread (focaccia with wild stripped bass on a bed of kohlrabi crostone). As a foodie, the crudo was unreal (similar to ceviche). For main, I had the pork chops, quite filling, quite fatty I'm taste and generous proportions. The St Rita drink was perfect cocktail for a sweet ending.Thank you Xavier for excellent service.Vegetarian options: AvailableParking: A 5-minute walk from the closest subway stop (Villa Maria)“
“I went there for a lunch with friends and we really appreciated the selection of wines, the atmosphere and the freshness of the ingredients. The service was also very good. I recommend!Vegetarian options: There were a few vegetarian choices on the menu.“
“Une équipe du tonnerre qui donne un service incroyable!! Un repas délicieux avec des produits de qualité. La salade du moment au saumon fumé, les huîtres et que dire de l’onglet et sa sauce chimichuri!! C’était notre première fois et ce ne sera pas la dernière. Vous allez nous revoir.“
