“Took my toddler here Monday and my only regret with coming here is that we’ve lived in North Smithfield for several years and this was our first time coming! My son (almost 3) loved seeing the cows and trucks that were set up there. We went inside to get a snack and he started having a mini meltdown because he wanted to go back outside. An employee (wish I got her name) came from behind the register and gave him a couple stickers and told me I was doing a great job, which really means a lot when you feel like you’re doing something wrong as a mom. I appreciate that woman more than she realized! 💕 I ordered a cream puff and 2 chocolate chip cookies. When the employee from behind the counter handed me my box she let me know she gave us an extra cookie! The employees really were amazing. “I had a birthday celebration at this restaurant. We sat near the cozy fireplace on a chilly night. The cheeseboard (varied cheeses, focaccia bread, honey, blackberries, nuts, jam, greens) and Pt. Judith calamari were beautifully presented. Excellent bottle of Pinot Grigio from Tuscany, Italy added to food, Staff was very accomodating. I enjoyed mussels, scallops, little necks over pasta in scampi sauce. Others had the salmon as well as the bolognese. It's a very roomy, quiet setting near the water. Staff came out to sing happy birthday with a luscious ice cream dessert with a candle on top. I was pleasantly surprised. We will return to this place for sure!“

“So it was Fathers Day and of course my fiancé wanted to go golfing and he chose Harbor Lights golf course. We’re from Connecticut but on the border of Rhode Island but still don’t go there as much. After he was done he said he would love if we went to dinner for Father’s Day with our daughter and my mom. I searched for places in the area of the golf course, was looking for something sort of near the water and that’s when I found Iggy’s ! Had great reviews so I called and booked a reservation! We were running a little late but called to let them know and said that it was fine. When we arrived, the place was PACKED! Which is definitely a great sign. Every staff member we encountered were so nice and helpful! Our server Zach was amazing and so accommodating! He was knowledgeable and was just so friendly! My mom is a super critic ( she always has something to say about something which sometimes gets embarrassing ) haha but she could not say enough how good the food was and service and atmosphere! She absolutely loved it and we had the best time! My 13 month old had her first milkshake and LOVED it! Hahah Thank you for the great experience! We’ll definitely be back when we’re in Rhode Island! :)“

However they really outdid themselves with, what I would call, the new “it” dinner option- the birrio burger. Every bite has flavor & every bite melts in your mouth. “The food and drinks were top notch, however, the lamb shank was still frozen in in part of it. Not sure how that could happen, but they were very apologetic and rectified the issue. The waitress took our drinks off the bill, which was almost the entire price of the lamb shank. We would definitely return as the experience was wonderful!“

“We went to celebrate my wife's birthday, and honestly, it couldn't have been more perfect.
First off, let me tell you about Jeff, our server. This guy is a rockstar, plain and simple. Not only was he super sharp on all the food and wine, but he was also just incredibly attentive and genuinely friendly. We had our 3-year-old son with us, and Jeff handled it all like a pro – making sure our little guy was happy and comfortable, which meant we could actually relax and enjoy the special occasion. He really went above and beyond to make the night special for all of us.
Then there's Danielle, the dining room manager. Seriously, she's incredible. You could just tell she was running the show flawlessly, making sure everyone was having a fantastic time. She even stopped by our table to chat and wish my wife a happy birthday, and you could feel how much she genuinely cares about her guests. It's clear she sets the tone for the whole place, and it just radiates excellence.
And the food? Oh my goodness. Every single dish was spot on. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the sides were delicious, and the birthday dessert was the ideal sweet ending. The whole atmosphere felt elegant but still totally comfortable, which was great for a family celebration.
If you're looking for an unforgettable meal in Providence, especially for a special event, you absolutely have to go to The Capital Grille.
