“I had the most wonderful experience on April 30, 2023 at The Loft at Soby’s! I highly recommend the Chef’s tasting dinner and I understand they have some upcoming dates available. The menu was 6 courses, but actually there were about 8 or 9 fabulous courses served. The wines chosen by the sommelier were perfect, including a great champagne and a lovely port. This special dinner at The Loft at Soby’s will remain at the very top of my memories and no one is better at making special memories than Soby’s!“

The eggs were super fresh and cooked as specified, the bacon was thick and crispy, and the potatoes were seasoned perfectly with peppers and onions! The Brioche toast… nice! And, the Coffee (Coda Houseblend) was so good, I had 3-cups!

“My daughter’s bridal “tea” shower was held here. Mary was most accommodating with our schedule over the Thanksgiving weekend. The table was set beautifully. The food was just right and the staff were friendly and attentive. We were very pleased with the service and our experience. We would highly recommend the afternoon tea for your special occasion. “We finished a five day trip to Greenville by having dinner at Soby's. It was packed on a Friday night serving up their "reimagined" Southern Fare. Ordinarily, I would dive in and tell you about all the great food, instead I want to give props to the two line cooks working the Grill and Sautée stations in the kitchen. Our table on the second level looked right down the back (cooking) line. If you've watched The Bear television series you get to see a dramatized version of how a commercial kitchen operates. At Soby's we saw these two guys in action. A nine-steak order at four different temps, no problem. They mowed through an average of 9-10 tickets on the "rail" all night with God knows how many orders per ticket. Great job. Great job indeed! We started our dinner with the Mussles Mariniere sautéed in a bacon, leeks, Manzanilla sherry, cream. So good. I wish the chef would serve four pieces of toast with the dish so you could soak up more of the sauce. I had to try the She Crab Soup, as it is one of my favorites, and Soby's version with aged sherry bowled me over. For our entrees, our server suggested a combination of half portions of their Shrimp and Grits and Crab Cakes. Apparently my wife is not the only one who couldn't decide between the two, and thus a special was born. The crab cakes had a sweet corn maque choux and were served with haricots verts and a mashed potatoes, remoulade. From words on a menu to executed perfection it was a perfect blend of flavors. The shrimp and grits were good, not the best we have ever had, but again perfectly prepared. My entrée was the Braised Beef Short Rib served with mashed potatoes and a Black Garlic Molasses Jus. I watched my dudes on the line make over 20 of these before mine arrived at the table. Fork-tender, the meat had a great depth of flavor from its long journey of preparation. I ate every bite, OK except for the payback bites to my wife for sampling her special. We finished dinner with a piece of their Limoncello Cheese cake followed espressos and Ameretto. Our waitress was perfect all evening. She had a very busy section, but kept the coursing of dinner moving in a relaxed pace. We never felt rushed. Before I end, a word about wine at Soby's. When you arrive at the table, you are given a wine tome. Not a sheet of paper or a wine list you are used to seeing in most establishments. This was a tomb, bound in a metal cover. Soby's owner is a vinophile and has amassed over 2500 wines on the list, that is always changing as choices are enjoyed and more added. It really is quite a stunning list. So get you some Soby's if you're in town. It was a wonderful experience. You too can enjoy food bliss“

“Our first visit to Pete's on Poinsett and it won't be the last. There are quite a few comments posted about a 20 minute for the food. Personally, I prefer fresh cooked, which this was, and don't mind waiting for it. The food was delicious and prices are reasonable. We will be going back to try other menu items because the options are many. Great family diner with good food and affordable prices.“

“Are at Bohemian Bull on April 19 2024, the service and food were excellent. Our server Caitlyn checked in with us several times even though they were very busy, she was great. “Our server was pleasing. However, the service seemed slow from the start, even when the restaurant had just opened and was not crowded. I'm glad we had a 5 pm reservation prior to a 7 pm show. The menu was quite limited. Had hoped for the charcuterie board for sharing, but that was not an option. Personally, I would recommend trying other nearby restaurants prior to a show.“

“My friends and I had a nice quick meal at this location. I have passed it several times when commuting and always said, I need to go into that castle like restaurant and try their food sometime. Well tonight was the night one of my friends eats their fairly often. We did not get any appetizers or desserts. My friend had the salad which was served with a delicious croissant that they were nice enough to give me. I ordered the trout and baked potato with sour cream and butter. The gifted croissant was delicious and the food was cooked well but was under seasoned. The food came out quickly so cold items were nice and chilled, and the protein nice and hot. Looking at the menu and the guests that were present on a Tuesday at the restaurant these seats were filled with millennial to more mature caucasians. It was beautiful inside a large glass overlooking the manicured lawn (no outdoor seating on lawn), interstate I-85, and the SC night sky. We were seated on the lower floor right next to the window. There was a beautiful bar and what looked like a tower of this castle like restaurant and lot of beautiful wood framing. The waitress was very kind, attentive, and just a touch too friendly, which I say only because she relied primarily on verbal communication when checking on us that led to conversation with her and deviated from the conversation we we’re having multiple times. That being said, we understood that she was only trying to be friendly, but the service was still very good. Plenty of refills and frequent check-ins.“

“I got the salmon, mashed potatoes and vegetables. All cooked well. Salmon was flavorful and seasoned well. Not overcooked. Hubby got 7 ounce sirloin and it was a little disappointing. Already sliced so kind of dry and overcooked. Mashed potatoes are tasty. We’re not into alcohol.“

“Since moving to this side of town We make a weekly visit to the Clock on Congaree. Super good food even better service. Our family favorites are smothered chicken, baby club, chilli cheese burger and their ranch is made in house and we could eat it on everything.. “My husband and I absolutely love The Big Clock of Powdersville. We eat here almost once a week. The staff is very friendly and efficient and the food that we've had is very good. Love the baby flounder on the meat and 3 menu. They have quesadillas on their sandwich menu that are some of the best quesadillas anywhere! Wish they were on the appetizer menu. Great fries and onion rings too. Their side salad is betty good too. The restaurant is spacious, clean, and comfortable. Love the place!“
