The fried chicken and mashed potatoes are as good as most regular sit down restaurants.While you order from the Roost counter, you will pay at the 7 eleven register from a order receipt. There are a few tables for seating if you are taking a break from the road“

“As someone who doesn't eat red meat, it is often hard to find good BBQ that isn't chicken as an option. The turkey was tender and MOIST. The "fries" were so tasty I would be happy to eat them as a meal.“

“Food is good. I wouldn’t recommend ordering take out because they skimp you on sauce and food unfortunately. I always have a good experience with the server. He literally runs that whole place by himself. I’m seriously always impressed by him and hopefully he’s getting all his tips and not sharing it with the nuisance/ eye sore that sits behind the counter stuffing her face while scrolling on her phone constantly in front of customers. She’s so rude and has terrible customer service skills. I come here pretty often and she’s always behind the counter doing the same sh’t. When I have to go to the counter to pay, she never acknowledges or even gets her face out of the phone to speak to me for two seconds. I’m in the food business, so I am all about good customer service and handling the tasks professionally. I’m a good tipper and I expect it to be worth it in all aspects. Again, Food is great. Server is amazing,. just not a good experience with the two behind the counter 🤷🏻‍♀️“

We had smoked BBQ Pork sandwich, Smoked brisket sandwich, Mac and cheese, collard greens, fried okra and home made fruit ice tea! They also give you a hand wipe and dental floss. “First discovered this place 3 yrs ago when a friend was recovering from liver transplant @ Vandy and the condo he was staying in was just down the street. Now, we come here every time we're in Nashville. We always go to the Charlotte street location because they are constantly smoking the meats fresh, there's a generous amount of seating and the employees are always friendly. All of their meats are cooked perfectly (we've tried them all but the sausage, brisket, and ribs are our favorites) and they give you generous portions. The Brunswick stew is delicious, the collard greens are fabulous, and the mac n cheese is good. It's not cheap but we always get 2 meals out of each combo platter we buy. Oh, and the banana pudding is a decadently perfect way to top it off.

Parking: Generally there's plenty of parking but this last time we went the parking lot was full and we discovered there's an overflow lot behind the BK.“

Although he asked for grilled porkchops they gave him fried......still was good. The smell made me ask for a piece. Lol. He ordered grilled porkchops Cabbage and greens and an order of cheese fries and a lemonade all for $20 Portions were small but the order of cheese fries was standard. “When i went to the smoke shack, i was in a darker place. My wife just left me for my neighbor, my kids left me for a different neighbor, and my dog was killed by a meteorite. I was devastated. And i was in a wheel chair after i was struck by the same meteorite that killed my dog in a separate incident. But that all changed when i stepped in the smoke shack. Once i opened the door, I could immediately walk again, my wife and kids came back to me, and my dog resurrected to join us. Thank you, smoke shack.“

“We decided on our morning breakfast to try here! It was amazing and the atmosphere and service was amazing…. Amazing menu options and Jams and biscuits. The Bronut was a biscuit stuffed with cheesecake, Fried Green Tomato Wrap and Pimento Cheese and Bacon Omelet was just a few menu items of amazing unique meals. We started off with a Biscuit Basket and Bronut (biscuit stuffed with cream cheese filing and deep fried and smothered in a blueberry compote) many assorted jams from mild to spicy. The pepper jams and jelly’s were amazing and flavorful. My wife had a bacon egg and cheese biscuit with potatoes, my daughter had the Pimento Cheese and Bacon Omelette, our son had the Daniels Big Breakfast: and I had the bacon breakfast tacos…. All our meals were great and fulfilling. There potato’s and grits were extremely flavorful and perfect sides! I highly recommend and give this place 5 stars for service, quality and food~ Julia the Kitchen manager was amazing and very warm and welcoming! TK our server was extremely accommodating and helpful!“

“I had heard from several locals that Jack's was the best place in Nashville for BBQ. I had family visiting from out-of-state and after we toured Nashville for a few hours, we had built up quite the appetite. There were 9 of us together and I thought we might have to wait a while for a table, but I was wrong and we were seated promptly after whisking through the long line. They have plenty of seating upstairs and an outdoor patio to hear the country music from performers nearby. I had the 3-meat combo and it was to die for. Everything was amazingly delicious and my uncles who are die-hard BBQ lovers, gave me two thumbs up for my restaurant pick. Even the unsuspecting-looking cornbread was delicious! Be sure to grab a slice of Pecan Pie if you have room, cause it's well worth it. I highly recommend if you're on the strip and need to replenish your energy or just want to chill on the patio and enjoy the music, without fighting crowds. I will definitely be back!“

“The chicken and biscuits from Raise the Roost inside the 7-Eleven on Newtown Road and Providence are, by far, the worst I've ever had. The chicken was either overcooked and dry, with burnt outsides and —likely due to improper fryer temperatures or incorrect timer settings. The coating was thick and cakey, indicating poor preparation. Even the green beans had no seasoning or taste. I recommend not using salt if you decide to season. To top it off, the bathrooms were in horrible and smelly condition. I would've returned the food if I had time. Thumbs down! I took pictures but you cannot upload“

“Overall, pretty good especially for airport food. We stopped by for breakfast during a layover and got an order of sausage, an order of bacon, and a biscuit. The sausage came with two patties and the bacon with about five pieces, and they weren’t paper thin. The sausage had a great flavor and wasn’t dry, nor was the biscuit. It looks clean and there’s a few good seats around the counter.

For our order, it cost $13.75. Not bad in the realm of airport food, especially because the food exceeded our expectations.“

“We typically order from Jim and Nick‘s BBQ. But with their prices going way up, we wanted to try something new… I ordered delivery of a full rack of ribs and took advantage of the Bogo wings for Sunday’s football game. Famous Dave’s did not disappoint! The food was out of this world, bbq-licous!!!! One of the order of wings had their Kurveball whiskey sweet glaze. This was one of the best sauced wings I’ve ever had in my life! I stopped by the next day and talked to the manager to complement them on my order, and really, to see if I could learn a little bit more about the glaze they put on the wings. Heather, the manager on duty, was very sweet and although she was no way going to give me the recipe, she did offer some advice on a home made version. Not sure I can get it as good as you guys but either way, we will be ordering again. Can’t wait to try some new selections. This is our go to barbecue joint going forward. Please make the whiskey sweet Glaze a permanent offering. Also, a shout out to The Dash Driver. She was prompt, courteous, and very much on time. Thank you, Famous Dave’s!“
