“A restaurant show brought me to Nashville. I tasted a lot of really good food by some really good chefs. The show ended Friday and my sister and I went on an food adventure and ended up Papa Turney's BBQ Nashville Shores Marina and let me tell you it was by far the best food I had here in Nashville. The BBQ is some of the best I have ever had but those Greens are by far the best thing I have eaten in a very long time, you could taste the love. If you are going to be in Nashville check out papa turneys. I am planning a trip back to Nashville so I can bring my husband to papa turneys ♥️“

“The Brisket sandwich had a lot of excellent meat. Large choice of BBQ sauces. The sweet sauce was very good. The Brisket & pulled chicken plate had a ton of meat & two sides. Cafeteria style with seating in a food court. Very busy on a Saturday so had to wait for a table. Parking was also very busy. But would definitely go again during the week when Farmers Market is not so crowded.“

“First discovered this place 3 yrs ago when a friend was recovering from liver transplant @ Vandy and the condo he was staying in was just down the street. Now, we come here every time we're in Nashville. We always go to the Charlotte street location because they are constantly smoking the meats fresh, there's a generous amount of seating and the employees are always friendly. All of their meats are cooked perfectly (we've tried them all but the sausage, brisket, and ribs are our favorites) and they give you generous portions. The Brunswick stew is delicious, the collard greens are fabulous, and the mac n cheese is good. It's not cheap but we always get 2 meals out of each combo platter we buy. Oh, and the banana pudding is a decadently perfect way to top it off.

Parking: Generally there's plenty of parking but this last time we went the parking lot was full and we discovered there's an overflow lot behind the BK.“

“I give Roadside Pantry a solid four out of five stars. The service was fantastic and pleasant, with orders taken through a small window in the back. I enjoyed a meal of steak, catfish, and french fries topped with pulled pork. The mac and cheese was on point, with flavors hitting just right. Portions were fair, so consider ordering extra if you’re hungry. Don’t forget to ask about your preferred sauces. The Kool-Aid is extra sweetened, so you’ll want ice. “It’s a SMALL place but it’s a tucked away gem. Been going there a little over a year. Finally found a place with Shriner boch on tap. The food is great and I’m not a “BBQ” fan. Games on every screen, everyone’s happy, never had a bad experience. We’ll continue to frequent them.

The Bronut was a biscuit stuffed with cheesecake, Fried Green Tomato Wrap and Pimento Cheese and Bacon Omelet was just a few menu items of amazing unique meals. We started off with a Biscuit Basket and Bronut (biscuit stuffed with cream cheese filing and deep fried and smothered in a blueberry compote) many assorted jams from mild to spicy. The pepper jams and jelly’s were amazing and flavorful. My wife had a bacon egg and cheese biscuit with potatoes, my daughter had the Pimento Cheese and Bacon Omelette, our son had the Daniels Big Breakfast: and I had the bacon breakfast tacos…. All our meals were great and fulfilling. There potato’s and grits were extremely flavorful and perfect sides! I highly recommend and give this place 5 stars for service, quality and food~ Julia the Kitchen manager was amazing and very warm and welcoming! I had family visiting from out-of-state and after we toured Nashville for a few hours, we had built up quite the appetite. They have plenty of seating upstairs and an outdoor patio to hear the country music from performers nearby. I had the 3-meat combo and it was to die for. Be sure to grab a slice of Pecan Pie if you have room, cause it's well worth it. “The chicken and biscuits from Raise the Roost inside the 7-Eleven on Newtown Road and Providence are, by far, the worst I've ever had. The chicken was either overcooked and dry, with burnt outsides and —likely due to improper fryer temperatures or incorrect timer settings. The coating was thick and cakey, indicating poor preparation. Even the green beans had no seasoning or taste. I recommend not using salt if you decide to season. To top it off, the bathrooms were in horrible and smelly condition. I would've returned the food if I had time. Thumbs down! I took pictures but you cannot upload“

“I had the occasion to eat here twice in 5 days while on layovers. While the name SWETT’S BBQ is slightly misleading, I was not disappointed. This is a counter serve fast southern style restaurant. Our server was all alone at the moment we arrived but quickly took good care of us as soon as she finished with other customers.

I had fried pork chops, beef tips, collard greens and broccoli casserole. I’ll just say that I ate every last bit and that it all had ten times the flavor of today’s lunch at Ol’ Red across the way.

The variety here is good. Seating is shared with other counter serves but is ample and within an easy listen to the live music.

“We typically order from Jim and Nick‘s BBQ. But with their prices going way up, we wanted to try something new… I ordered delivery of a full rack of ribs and took advantage of the Bogo wings for Sunday’s football game. Famous Dave’s did not disappoint! The food was out of this world, bbq-licous!!!! One of the order of wings had their Kurveball whiskey sweet glaze. This was one of the best sauced wings I’ve ever had in my life! I stopped by the next day and talked to the manager to complement them on my order, and really, to see if I could learn a little bit more about the glaze they put on the wings. Heather, the manager on duty, was very sweet and although she was no way going to give me the recipe, she did offer some advice on a home made version. Not sure I can get it as good as you guys but either way, we will be ordering again. Can’t wait to try some new selections. This is our go to barbecue joint going forward. Please make the whiskey sweet Glaze a permanent offering. Also, a shout out to The Dash Driver. She was prompt, courteous, and very much on time. Thank you, Famous Dave’s!“
