“The gal that took my order @ take out counter was very nice, friendly, helpful & attentive! She waited on another person after me & very nice & helpful! The meal was delicious ? hit the spot however the pieces of fish were very small as 2 pieces equaled 1 piece if sitting in the restaurant. The fries were like Wendy's fries & not like yall used to have! I called when I got home & a guy answered the phone & I told him my concern & he said he tells ppl to check the order before leaving which I didnt know I need to but I will from now on if i return. Me & a friend split the meal. The price was fine, the fish tasted good ?, she wasn't happy w/ her meal or her pecan pie so the 5* was more for the gal that took the order even tho my fish tasted good the pieces were way to small. “They still have it going on here at Gus's on Mendenhall! As I entered, I was promptly greeted by the staff and seated immediately. Once seated, my server Ariel, brought my beverage quickly and took my order. She also notified me about the special they had going on, which I thought was nice if I wanted to get the biggest bang for my buck. The food was excellent as usual and came out quickly. During my dining experience, Ariel checked on me multiple times and offered desert once I was done. I swear this lady has to get about 100k steps a day because she had multiple tables and I watched her take care of all of them. Gus is lucky I live in Atlanta, or I would be trying to steal their employee for my establishment.“

Cooked nicely — yams were soft and sweet, green beans were soft without being mushy, mac and cheese creamy and perfection, in other words it was everything expected!Oh — and cornbread worthy of a southern cook!Looks like they have different choices daily. “We were just passing through and found this gem! The food is excellent. The service is second to none. Our server was like a ninja, never letting our tea glasses get empty. We had the chicken tetrazzini, meatloaf, squash casserole, green beans, white beans, mashed potatoes and gravy. All was off the charts! The homemade chess pie is to die for with homemade whipped topping. And the chocolate malt was the perfect old-school malt shop malt. I just can’t say enough. If you’re ever in Collierville, TN make this place a priority!“

“Every time we go to Memphis, we stop here. Their food and service are excellent. One of us always gets the catfish and I choose either fried shrimp or the cuban. You wouldn't expect that the cuban would be a good choice at a restaurant that highlights seafood,but you'd be wrong. It consistently is the best one I've had regardless of the restaurant. Service is great. Refills come unsolicited,which is refreshing.“

“It was packed after church services. They moved as quickly as possible to seat parties. When 1 family got up, the tables were cleaned and another family seated quickly. The only downside was they made you pay before putting your name on the waiting list. In my opinion it didn't make sense because if I no longer wanted to wait, they would have to refund my money. That's what happened with a few people in my group. After about 45 minutes, they requested a refund and left. Other than that the food was good & the staff is always friendly.“

Chicken Salad Chick had two locations. One in East Memphis and the other one close to Lakeland. Also their grape salad is very good and refreshing. I like that the store is closed on Sunday. My daughter buys a lot from Chicken Salad Chick. She does get an offer for a free container“
