“This is the best place to eat in Knoxville and it's not even close. The barbecue is amazing. Pork is flavorful, the brisket is the best I've personally had, and the chicken is tender and juicy. The ribs are the meaning of tendernism. Their hot dogs are exactly what you hope they'd be (the chili is incredible and they load them up). But the jewel on the crown is the menu are the turkey ribs. I've never had a more delicious piece of heaven in my life. Fine, upstanding establishment that you are sorely missing even if you don't know it yet.“

“My wife and I stopped by this afternoon for our first visit. If I could give them a 10 star review I would. We were greeted with huge smiles and a welcoming spirit from all the staff. Since we had never eaten there, I asked an employee for his recommendation and he turned out to be one of the managers named Trent. He was absolutely fabulous and kind and spoke to us for quite some time and made us feel like family instead of customers. He gave us solid recommendations and we tried the baby back ribs and smoked Turkey plates. The ribs were amazing to say the least but let me tell you about the smoked Turkey….it was banging. Best Turkey I’ve ever eaten. Hands down. The General Manager, Jeremy, also came and greeted us and told us about the restaurant and their philosophy, nothing frozen, and not even a microwave in the restaurant, everything is fresh made in house. He recommended the collards and macaroni and cheese. The collards were amazingly tender and just the right amount of spice, this was soul food level. Mac and Cheese, incredible. We acted like we had not eaten in a week and also got the potato salad and Cole slaw. The potato salad was like what I remember as a kid, a mustard based that made me smile. The cole slaw was a apple cider vinegar and sugar based and tasted like they made it just fresh just for us. And let’s don’t forget the cheese corn bread/biscuits that were moist and delicious. And I know that this is a long post and I’ve bragged on the food and how incredible it was but I will have to say, even as amazing as our meal was, the staff was even more amazing. We literally felt like we were the most valued customers because of the kindness and friendliness of the staff. 10 out of 10 experience all the way around. And we left with banana pudding and lemon meringue pie and it may be 2 days before I could possibly eat again. Thank you to Trent and Jeremy for a wonderful experience.“

Food was fantastic Southern BBQ- my bride and I shared Brisket, 5 sides and cornbread. Plenty of food for us to share.
Service was great, Riley our server was very helpful with her favorites on the menu and very attentive!
The only issue we had was the dining room was very cold and drafty near the door. The room we weren’t in seemed very comfortable but we were seated on the far side away from the bar.“

The vibe was fantastic, with live music, board games, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The food was absolute perfection. We ordered the Vaudevillian Smoked Brisket with mac and cheese and coleslaw, the house salad, and the butter rum mulled cider, everything was spot on. Huge shoutout to Millie, Mitzi, and Kellie for the excellent service.

There was live music by Chris Morel, who was a great artist and really elevated the experience. If we’re ever back in the area, this will be a must-return spot!“

“Our waiter, Jai, at the Pigeon Forge location was the best. He was polite, attentive and extremely efficient. When we arrived on a very cold, TN afternoon, he noticed us linger by the fireplace and immediately served a cup of hot coffee. Please know that he is an asset to your business.“

“Lived in Tennessee for 4 years now. Had some “okay” BBQ here and there. Some dude had a smoker at an old gas station, that kinda thing. It was all bland and overly salty. Famous Dave’s is excellent. You can taste the wood smoke in the brisket. The house BBQ sauce is really good. Great pork ribs. Best BBQ we have found in Tennessee.“

I already have positive feelings about Buddy’s Bar-B-Q because it was so much fun and felt so special to go as a child with my grandparents. I didn’t love having to go to the one connected to a gas station but we made it work. When my children, grandfather and I were running errands in the area we were ecstatic to find a Buddy’s in Clinton and stopped in to eat. The food was very typical for Buddy’s (not complaining) but I don’t remember being offered extra meat for a little more money on the order we usually place at the other Buddy’s. I assume the person taking the orders was learning and I don’t hold that against them. It will come in time. What really stood out to us was the atmosphere. It was outstandingly beautiful! The bathrooms were quite clean and it was nice to see an employee wiping tables down and making an effort to maintain the cleanliness of the dining area while we ate. I appreciated that the employee wiped things down, gathered used trays and didn’t disturb our meal in the process. I know restaurants have to clean but I despise when a worker aggressively sprays chemicals on a nearby table close enough to our food to land on it! I’m not sure I remember that person spraying anything anyway (brain is too tired to remember) but it’s a pet peeve of mine and I’m glad it didn’t happen mid meal. There were more people inside than I expected but it certainly wasn’t crowded. The whole atmosphere just seemed new and fresh. Hopefully it will stay that way! We love the vibe of this place. It feels so authentic to Buddy’s Bar-B-Q!“

“I have wanted a steak from here for a month. Husband ordered me the 8oz Medium well. I immediately went to cut it and it was rare. I mean blood pouring out. I can't eat rare or even Medium cooked steaks. There was one little piece that was medium well on the end. Thought I would eat it. NOPE, hard as a rock. What is wrong with people and the way they cook. I have the ticket that says Medium Well. let's just say it wouldn't have been pretty if I was in the restaurant eating. Thanks for nothing. At least I ate the salad and two rolls. FYI, Husband's Prime rib was good to him.“

“1/10/2026, #1 Best meal anywhere is always Longhorns Parm Crusted Chicken & their Mac & Cheese. I eat it twice a month and it’s so tongue flopping incredible! Saturday night was sold out packed but our server Michael was amazing. Just watching him handle all his tables at the same time with so much professionalism so great to see. First class server that should be sought after by Knoxville’s finest restaurants if you’re smart.“
