“I was so busy eating this magnificent food that I forgot to take pics!!! This establishment is a must!! If you are a foodie you must go there asap! The combination of the foods and flavors have that undeniable "WOW" factor!!! I apologize for not taking pics because the presentation is fabulous too of course!!“

“We were in the area for an Artwalk event so we Googled for a place nearby we could satisfy our sushi craving. Wow! What a fantastic find! Jellyfish is located on busy Ella Blvd in a very modest inconspicuous shopping strip - if you’re not looking, you’re going to miss it. Don’t miss out though!! This place has delicious food and you’ll experience excellent service. Everything was super fresh and prepared to perfection. I enjoyed the hibachi steak/chicken, grilled veggies & steamed rice. The meats were tender as were the veggies perfectly grilled & seasoned as well. We shared a roll of Sushi that was masterfully prepared by cooks that know how to do it. The restaurant is simple inside but kept very clean. We had no problem with parking. Restrooms very clean. We will return and recommend Jellyfish to others for fresh authentic Japanese cuisine.“

“I came for their soft opening years ago and even though we’ve been back many times to Uchi it wasn’t until recently that we went back for my Wife’s birthday. Ever since moving to the suburbs we don’t get to have as many in town date nights anymore so when we do we want them to be special.

Uchiko delivered! Their sushi is always fresh and delicious and they have some new inventions that are really mind blowing.

On this trip we stuck to some classics uni, engawa (my absolute favorite! Yellowtail, and hot rock. We added some new additions the quail and tiger cry.

The tiger cry was a unique addition with it being crunchy and light.

For dessert we got the classic fried milk and added in the mochi churros. Wow! The mochi churros might have overtaken the fried milk!

The service was always spot on as each dish comes out with a great explanation.

“Chef Sky is a genuine down to earth person that deserves all the success! He puts his heart into his food and puts a creative spin on his menu that is executed phenomenally. His innovation with food and his incorporation of interactive gastronomy (you get to blow your own smoke bubble on your dish!) is very refreshing to experience especially in this age of cookie cutter omakases. Normally you would never expect to see ingredients like pork floss or lao gan ma on sushi — however he did it. He put them on sushi and it was such an unbelievably wonderful combination. He also included a piece of his story in his menu — homemade laksa. He showed a lot of thoughtfulness in the quantity and the contents of the laksa (like not including too many carbs/protein), knowing that it is a heavier soup that he incorporated about a third through the omakase. I was immaculately satiated by the last course so in the end, the portion and pacing of the courses was perfect. It was truly an honor to spend the night dining and chatting with Chef Sky. His inventive take on his cuisine really makes him a gastronomic visionary. We will definitely be returning and giving him our love and support!“

“I recently visited this place, and it was a real gem. It’s a bit of a drive, but my friend raved about it, and I couldn’t resist checking it out.

The shop is run by a lovely older Japanese couple, and they don’t take reservations, so we arrived as soon as they opened at 12 pm.

The exterior might not be the most flashy, but the food inside is absolutely incredible! The menu is small, but everything is carefully crafted and bursting with flavour. The sashimis are cut so thick and fresh, they’re a sight to behold. And the best part? The prices are very reasonable.

“I walked in and asked someone nearby for a menu .He said menus are online rudely and walked off . I stood up there for a few minutes no one came back up to greet me or take my order . As soon as some Caucasian people walk in a man came out back greeted them & seated them all while I was just standing there . I just left respectfully . I was shocked that this place of business only caters to certain races not the African Americans and I normally dine in at the Mexican Restaraunt but I seen that a new spot opened up and I wanted to support . My family has been̈ treated very nice at the Mexican restataunt in the same shopping center everytime we go Customer Service is superb . This Educated African American will happily spend her black dollars where it is appreciated .You all need to take notes on welcoming everyone to your place of business regardless of color .“

I got the lobster and filet mignon roll and it was pretty pricey, and it was not good. The only good part that was good was the fried Lobster. The roll itself was not tasty at all. “I usually frequent the Heights location, but decided to give the Spring Branch location a try. Finding it was a bit tricky, as it's tucked behind other buildings. Upon arrival, my significant other and I were greeted right away. However, when they were about to seat us, one of the stools had rice bits on it, and I had to ask the staff to clean it off. When ordering, I wasn't asked if I wanted caviar on my tuna handroll. I think it should be mentioned upfront, especially since there's an upcharge for it. That said, the overall vibe of the restaurant was fantastic, and the food was delicious and consistently great. I'll definitely be back!“

Kim, Donte, and Anthony are always so attentive, knowledgeable, and sweet. The shishito peppers and crab puffs are good. The baked mussels are *chefs kiss* amazing! Volcano roll and garlicky tuna are superb! And lastly they have some of the best spicy ponzu sauce I’ve ever had. (Also the music is really good here so A+++ for atmosphere)“

“I've been coming here for years since my Lil sister lives nearby and in walking distance. THEIR happy hour is great and their thai wings are 😋 always yummy!
