“Last week I was one in a group of twelve who had an amazing experience dining at Ida Claire. All agreed that the food was excellently prepared and tasty. Those of us who ordered bread pudding thought it was wonderful. The service was top notch, thanks to our awesome server King. King was not at all intimidated by the number in our party. He was personable, knowledgeable, attentive, and accurate. We would certainly go there again.“

“Our waiter abandoned us in the middle of the meal, we would’ve had a few more drinks if he ever came back around. We saw him leave the restaurant. We had to grab someone and ask for our check. We had the seafood platter, the fries were barely cooked, it was like eating a raw potato. The shrimp and fish with it were great. We don’t know how they messed up fries though.“

“For the last 3 years I have come here when I visit SA to see my son. Last night I brought him there with me (3yr old) to have dinner. We did a video chat with his mom and he started to have a meltdown before food came. Food came and he wouldn't calm down so I asked for to go boxes. When they were brought by the attendant (not my waiter) she said somebody had covered my tab!!!! I could barely contain myself overwhelmed by someone's generosity!! I gave a cash tip and went away with such appreciation. The staff here are so amazing and were so kind and patient as my boy had a meltdown. See y'all when I visit again!! A thousand thank you's!!!“

The service was on point, and you can tell there is a lot of thought put into the menu each week. Nice atmosphere. The setting is both casual and intimate. “Went here for a team lunch and decided to try the roasted poblano soup. It was so creamy, tasty, not spicy but flavorful, it satisfied my soup craving. I also tried the half Italian sandwich and a bite of the ultimate sandwich. I love sprouts on sandwiches, it was such a truck sandwich! Everyone enjoyed their meals and the ambiance of eating al fresco.“

Dining area inside is nice, but people at adjacent tables were quite loud and coupled with wall and floor hard surfaces made it difficult to carry on conversation. Outside seating area which is nice would have been better option on that morning.“

“I stopped in for breakfast and LOVED it. Any diner that has multiple old man groups, a cake and pie cooler front and center, and a lunch counter you can sit at, sign me up. They are bound to have good vittles! And Jim’s did not disappoint. I got the Texas Two Step breakfast. The pancakes were some of the best I’ve had. Sweet, moist, and fluffy. You almost didn’t need any syrup. I was very impressed. The bacon and eggs were just extra to make it all good. The menu looked fantastic and I hope to come back to SA one day to try out other things. Until then, keep doing your thing Jim’s!“

“First went there earlier this year, impressed us the minute we walked in the door, employees greet you upon entering with a truly warm, illuminating smile. When we were seated, we wanted to watch a certain game and the manager, Laura really went out of her way, bent over backwards to ensure they found the game(s) we wanted to watch, then ensured that the games would stay on ! The waitress who waited on us ( can't remember her name ) was exactly like the manager, helpful, courteous and quick with her service, thus resulting in making this our favorite location for watching sports with the drinks and menu items to order, with this type service, we will always make this our number 1 location !!
