“This bar has the right amount of bar seating, the right amount of table to standing area ratio, ample corners for darts, and a pool table area right next to the restroom so you can hear you buddy scratch on his shot and be close enough to catch him manipulating the pool balls with his grubby cheating hands. There’s even an outdoor area to smoke cigs reminiscent of the breeze-way outside your high school cafeteria where the burnouts ate lunch.
The bartender might moonlight at a rough and tumble biker bar across town, but Tanstaafl is about as menacing as the prospect of Christmas dinner after skipping breakfast, lunch, and drinking a few glasses of stiff Christmas punch. Speaking of Christmas, after the sun set, the bar played Home Alone 1 on a projector in the corner of the bar, the projector was very high quality.“

“I went to Sunshine with my best friend one night because we were trying to explore Arlington at the time.. Long story short… i have rarely went to any other bars since that day. Every bartender has become a close friend and every customer is different. I literally have taken my grandmother here twice and she loves it. There is every type of crowd and a wide range of ages/music nightly.. cheap enough drinks that are served by bartenders who actually care. Shoutout Kate..Val.. Sean.. and Nat & Emily even tho they have since left .. 10/10 recommend!!“

“Very nice restaurant in the doubletree. Convenient because I just walked downstairs and ordered food to go. Hostess was very polite and friendly and grabbed me an ice water while I waited. I only had to wait less than ten minutes. The picture does not do the black bean burger justice because it was delicious and flavorful. There were two bean Pattie’s and they were stuffed with a layer of beans, corn, peppers and onions. It was tasty and very filling.“

“With the oversaturation of arcades in the DFW area, Free Play Tokyo Station distinguishes itself by being an authentic slice of what you would find at a Japanese Arcade. Kudos for an original, well executed concept!

Being to Japan on more than one occasion, I can say Tokyo Station is truly a gem for the DFW area featuring authentic Japanese Arcade staples like gatcha machines, UFO catchers, and of course an entire area dedicated to Arcade games all operating on real hardware! They have some very rare games too such as Magical Cat Adventure which I enjoyed playing through. If all of the fun gets you hungry, they also have imported Japanese drinks, snacks, and a build your own Ramen bar.

“We had a wonderful dinner at Soy Cowboy over the weekend. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed—the hostess thoughtfully asked about food allergies, which immediately set a great tone for the evening.

Our server, Bronwyn, was absolutely fantastic. She was warm, attentive, and offered excellent recommendations. Even while managing several tables, she never made us feel rushed and took the time to explain our options, making us feel like her top priority.

When our food arrived, the presentation was beautiful and the flavors did not disappoint. We enjoyed the rock shrimp tempura, lobster wontons, orange chicken, and soy cowboy fried rice with chicken. For cocktails, we tried the Blackberry Bramble and the Lychee Martini—both were refreshing and perfectly balanced.

Although the dessert menu looked amazing, we were far too full to indulge. Overall, it was a delightful experience, and we will absolutely be back again!“

“Who knew Mac-n-Cheese could be so good? The greatness that Cane Rosso bestows every dish they serve must be experienced first hand. On my journey thru their menu, my server Rachael, helped me choose which dishes to try out. She started me with my must have sweet tea and an appetizer of Rick Rolled Mac&Cheese. I recommend it upgraded to Rick Rolled with bacon marmalade and white truffle oil. Trust me on this. She then helped me select which flavors for a half/half pizza. The Straight Fire and I believe the Cane Rosso. The Cane Rosso with caramelized onions was a very unique taste. But I will say the Straight Fire 🔥 was straight fire. Before you sprinkle the red pepper flakes, give it a try first. My second slice did not get any pepper flakes because it didn't need any. I also chose to try a dessert for the first time and so glad I did. It was the Ladybird, which is basically a dessert pizza. I'm looking forward to a leftover lunch today. I am so grateful to have had Cane Rosso suggested as I now have a goal of trying every dish they serve. TIP: Ask about their "Secret Menu" which I'm keeping secret. 😉“

“I absolutely love their Honey Garlic wings. I start eating them as soon as I get in my car and as I drive home. There's no better wings in Arlington. The prices have increased quite a bit so don't go as often as i used to, still love it.“
