“(1) First IM from Port Arthur TX where Cajun cooking and seafood rule. My first time dining at LaFluer’s was great. (2) I ordered the boudain balls & red beans and rice and sausage. My girlfriend ordered (gulf) shrimp and (cheese) grits. (3) Both orders were wonderful, and we have agreed to become regulars here. “We love this place. Everything we have ordered has been excellent and consistent. Tonight we decided to order 2 filet mignons to go. I was a bit skeptical about “to go” filets, especially since we live miles away, but that’s what I wanted so that’s what we got. Not only was the meal absolutely delicious, they wrapped everything so it was all still hot when we got home. Now I have to add yet another favorite to my list of Hungry Horse meals… thanks guys!!! “I had such a wonderful experience here today! As a very early postpartum mom running on little sleep, I accidentally placed my order at the wrong Willie’s location. When I finally made it to the right one and explained my mistake, the Hwy 151 team kindly remade my food so I wouldn’t have to eat something that had been sitting for a while — all without me even asking. This small act of kindness meant so much. I told my baby that day that when you can, offer people as much grace as possible and be kind — because you never know what someone might be going through. I’ve been here with the family, for a casual dinner with friends and on date-night with the Mrs. and this place always delivers the best!

The ceviche appetizer with cucumber is fresh and huge! Don’t be shy…try it with the octopus and one of their many drink options. Fresh mixed juices with or without alcohol is a great compliment with the home made guacamole. My kids love the juice because it looks and tastes great! The whole fried fish entree is my favorite and the taco plates erupt with flavor. Live music on Saturday night with the air conditioned patio overlooking the hills creates a vibe that only one of their legendary micheladas can compete with. I love the bar area with their countless TVs and the customer service is always top notch, even when the restaurant is filled with people. The detail to flawless presentation, clean tables and the easy parking make this my go-to restaurant for a great atmosphere and just damn good food! Cheers!“
