“First date night here in New Braunfels and this was a great spot! It was romantic, yet casual. The food was great, not life changing, but still. The shrimp cakes appetizer stole the show. I will definitely be back for those. Only thing I didn't like, is they don't offer drink specials inside. It's only outside. So you can get up, go outside and get the drink special, and bring it back to your table. Like why not just offer the specials inside too? Odd, but not enough to deter me from coming back. “Food is better than good. Not great but I was satisfied and not disappointed. Service is great. We were escorted to available table right away. It was not crowded but a lot of diners for Sunday lunch around 1:30p. And we didnt wait long for our server. Older gentleman but very attentive and well verse about the menu. Food took a little longer to be serve not a big deal but its a bistro and our server explained ahead of time. Not complaining just observed a group of 2 couples on the bar way too loud most probably drunk too fast or drinking for awhile and its a smaller place and we were seated 2 tables away from them. I can only imagine the family seated beside them. Over all? We will come back.“

A massive improvement from having been asked to leave after an hour and a half at other places! My husband and I got to enjoy true quality time together, talking about the next steps in our lives over a simply curated yet expertly crafted menu.Randolph purposely spaced out the different dishes we ordered so as not to overwhelm us with too many flavors at once. “Was out in new Braunfels for an event and was looking for a breakfast spot. We had to order take out because we were short on time. This place popped up in my search and had decent reviews so we gave it a try. The chicken and waffle was good and I was kinda skeptical on eggs but they tasted good. The potatoes were good as well. We got there before there was a crowd so it took about 15-20 mins to get food. Crowd started to show up as we were leaving. Everyone was friendly that worked here.“

“Always an excellent burger joint in San Antonio! I stopped by while between games with my son's basketball team and we got some grub! The service was a little bit slow in this particular evening and we waited a while but we didn't have anywhere to be for a while.. “The small town of Bracken TX & its places of business has character & characters. When the Bracken Cafe relocated to Retama Race Track, the Bracken Store & Ice House opened its doors at this address. The new business appealed to people who enjoyed good food (Food truck) expanded dining to outdoors, added a convenient store & live entertainment. What brought me back today at 0100pm was a fund raiser for Earl Rhodes. A BBQ, bake sale, & an auction of very nice donated items. Earl is a friend of LeAn Watson Butler whom I have known from workouts & socials at the old Spectrum gym. It is a good worthy cause. Think anyone going to the ice house, to eat or be entertained would feel very comfortable doing so. Everyone I met from LeAn's group or the store were super friendly & engaging.“
