“We came here at 10:50pm when they were about to close and the owner was very friendly and made us our food pretty quick. Everything was flavorful. And the corn tortillas are homemade! We tried cabeza, lengua, al pastor and fajita. All the meats were pretty good except the el pastor was ok in our opinion. Definitely will be back to try other items.“

“Margarita was okay but let's talk about the food😋 Talk about made in Mexico!!! No TexMex amalgamation here. It's the team deal. The puerc pibil (pork, onion, spices wrapped in a banana leaf and tied with a corn husk string) is to die for. The fresh oregano stands out. the rice is okay but the black beans were the best that I've had this side of Miami. I'm gonna have to go back. Happy, happy, happy“

“The BEST tacos I've ever had!!! I visit every time I'm in Austin, often multiple times. The staff is friendly, the outdoor dining space is airy and relaxing, and the tacos will change your life. I've had the birria, tripa, barbacoa, campechano, and pastor, but the buche is by far my favorite! They also have breakfast tacos to start your day off right. A MUST when you're in SoCo. ¡Gracias! Already looking forward to next time.“

“The best old school Tex Mex in town. Fajitas are so much better than Chuys or Maudie’s. Then there are killer items like shrimp ala mexicana with chipotle and classic lengua. Green enchiladas crush the ones from other places. Margaritas are super tasty and there’s no better staff at this family run place. It’s all very reasonably priced. Can’t recommend it enough.“

“When you’re from the valley, a good Mexican restaurant is hard to find 😄. Love, love, love their breakfast tacos and pretty much anything on the menu is delicious. I recently went to have breakfast on my birthday and rushed to get there before 11am. I almost fell out because they told me they have breakfast all day, including during the weekdays! “This is our absolute favorite place for tacos. Their watermelon margaritas are so delicious. And they remember who you are! They ask about our daughters. They know our order. I truly love sitting under the ancient trees and patio lights, listening to the music and the sound of the train whistle. And the service! No words to describe how awesome the people who work here are are! And they’ve really invested in this place! New outdoor furniture and TVs. If you haven’t been here—you are really missing out!“

“we were at the hwy 290 location in Austin I found my new favorite restaurant! Our server (James) was outstanding, the food was fabulous and the chips & salsa was so good the 6 of us each ate a basket of chips and had several refills on salsa! The Enchiladas were so flavorful with the fire roasted Verde sauce.....highly recommend“

“The sign says they do not make fast food. they make good food as fast as they can. very important distinction... Note this is an outdoor trailer in the parking lot of a gas station. also note they provide excellent service. a friendly smile and very very good food. If you appreciate spicy they have a habanero salsa that is extremely good.“

“I've been living in South Austin for five months now and have claimed the owners and staff of this restaurant family, friends, and neighbors.
I eat breakfast and lunch here quite often. The food and service never disappoints.
So nice to walk out of my apartment to a warm, friendly environment next door.

I’ve never heard of this place but my friend took me, we were hungry late at night, and the other taco places we went to were so pricey.
So we found this place and the people were so nice and friendly- even without speaking the same language, their kindness, sincerity, and enthusiasm shined through.
I’m vegetarian and got myself a quesadilla with added avocado- and it was so satisfying and yummy. Such great portions for the price and it all came out so fast

“You must eat at this place! The people are friendly and the flavors are awesome. Pro tip: dip in the red sauce then the green. It’s so good and I really felt taken care of. I love this place!
I put 5 for atmosphere, even though it’s a food cart. I added that because the people are great and they’re great chefs too. I’m really satisfied with what I ate and I feel full and happy!
It’s also in the same parking lot as a store (Hula Hut) that has a great selection of beers and wines.
Also, the prices are really decent, particularly for the size of the tacos and other items!“
