“Very nice place inside, surprisingly upscale. It was a bit pricey but portions were more than solid and I like the toppings area where you can add as much or little onions + cilantro. As someone who loves trying different sauces they nailed the salsas. The ones that were bottled were closer to the basic stuff you get at taco trucks but the more artisan ones were in sauce containers and the red and verde were specially flavorful. From the looks of it, their ingredients seem pretty high quality and the kitchen is completely visible and looks modern and clean. The meat itself did lack a bit of flavor (for reference I ordered carne asada) on its own but the toppings and selections more than made up for it. I’d say if you live nearby definitely check this place out. Also forgot to mention that the food came out super fast.“

“This is me and my girlfriend's favorite local joint. The food such as their pizzadilla and birria quesbirria are so large that you can eat in it for two days. For the money, that's a lot.

The food is very rich and the consome complements it well. Parking is easy, despite being around businesses on St. Elmo. The location gives it a very famiky friendly vibe with the tennis courts nextdoor.

The staff is always helpful and kind, they are bilingual which helps as well.“

“Excellent service, authentic tasty receipts and at a great price. We had the ceviche as an appetizer. It was the perfect ceviche. We also tried the poblano chicken mole plate and the spicy chicken diabla plate. Both of them were excellent and full of flavor. I highly recommend the four leches cake which was outstanding. “The BEST tacos I've ever had!!! I visit every time I'm in Austin, often multiple times. The staff is friendly, the outdoor dining space is airy and relaxing, and the tacos will change your life. I've had the birria, tripa, barbacoa, campechano, and pastor, but the buche is by far my favorite! They also have breakfast tacos to start your day off right. A MUST when you're in SoCo. ¡Gracias! “This place has a very friendly and welcoming environment. This was my first time here. I was impressed with the size of the menu, considering the size of the trailer. The lady in the window was very friendly and helpful and made a recommendation. So I ended up ordering the gordita plate and a torta with barbacoa. The order took about 10 minutes but it was worth the wait. My food was really hot and I was impressed with the quantity and quality. I would recommend this place to anyone 5 out of 5. Also try the mex. Cheese Burger.“

“The best old school Tex Mex in town. Fajitas are so much better than Chuys or Maudie’s. Then there are killer items like shrimp ala mexicana with chipotle and classic lengua. Green enchiladas crush the ones from other places. Margaritas are super tasty and there’s no better staff at this family run place. It’s all very reasonably priced. Can’t recommend it enough.“

“I love Taco Aranda, great value, food, and very nice staff. When I used to do food deliveries, they offered me free breakfast tacos which was proved they have delicious bacon and egg tacos here. I stop here regularly on my work routes if I need some breakfast tacos.

“Tacos here were really good. They only have corn tortillas, but the corn tortilla that they make is amazing. Very light and doesnt overwhelm the rest of the taco like most corn tortillas.

The Barbacoa and Chorizo Egg and Potato were amazing. If I am ever near the area again I will stop back by to get some more.

Prices are very reasonable as well.

I put 5 for atmosphere, even though it’s a food cart. I added that because the people are great and they’re great chefs too. I’m really satisfied with what I ate and I feel full and happy!

It’s also in the same parking lot as a store (Hula Hut) that has a great selection of beers and wines.

“Had breakfast here we arrived at 9:45am and sat down immediately. Servers were very attentive and the food was great! We had a Caldo De Camaron and a Menudo. My Caldo de Camaron was great, reminded me of the one my grandma used to make for us in Bejucos, Mexico just missing the carrots. Menudo was great my husband said, I also noticed how it did not have hominy in it and that’s is how it is made in Mexico as well. We order 2 tacos to go and my daughter loved them. Definitely would recommend this place to my family and friends.“

“Great little neighborhood dive taco spot. Not in the upper echelon of tacos in the city but a welcome and perfectly serviceable spot that would be a great daily driver for getting tacos on your way to work etc.I pass by this place all the time and decided to finally stop by and try them. I normally judge a place by getting a barbacoa, a pastor, and a tripas taco. This place doesn't serve tripas so I got a barbacoa, a pastor, a carne guisada and a chicharron. All were well done and I have no complaints. I love that they offer pico de gallo on their tacos instead of onion and cilantro. It helps set them apart.The chicharron was better at lunch yesterday at Polvos, but it was also a $20 plate. Here the tacos are $3 so for less than $15 before tip I got 4 tacos plus salsa and fast service to boot.I wouldn't travel 30 minutes to eat here, but I would frequent the joint if it were my neighborhood taco establishment. The fast and very friendly service is a nice bonus.

Parking: There is parking in front and they share a wall with a convenience store.“

Our server (James) was outstanding, the food was fabulous and the chips & salsa was so good the 6 of us each ate a basket of chips and had several refills on salsa! “We stopped in for lunch because it looked like a nice little place and was well rated. Glad we did. Homemade salsas (spicy red and creamy green) were great. Carne Asada plate was excellent. The bacon wrapped grilled shrimp were smoky and delicious. The tortillas seemed to be handmade (I loved the corn tortillas). I had a Jamaica aqua fresca that was delicious. Would definitely go back and highly recommend.

Parking: Limited parking up front with a larger lot behind the restaurant.“
