“I would like to respectfully start with; I’ve been to Uchi multiple times over the years and will never forget my first experience (which will always be the best in my mind.) That being said — tonight might have been the closest to first I’ve ever had. Chance, our server was attentive, knowledgeable, easy going, brought some of the best plates when we asked “bring us what you like/anything you think we missed” literally 12/10 would recommend. Ask for Chance, he knows his shiiiiiiii* and made our night absolutely amazing and something we will never forget!“

The super-star if the evening was the silky and sumptuous king crab custard, but even the bread and butter lead to whipping out phones for photos and sighing with contentment after first bites. The setting is gorgeous--dark green Art Deco sexiness!--and quiet enough for real conversation even with a full house, which is the rarest thing nowadays! The Cafe Brulot experience was a showstopper and we were so glad we discovered and reserved it through OpenTable. But if you're selling Mexican food, how do you have NO salsas, peppers, or hot sauces?? Yet the tables have soy sauce and a nutritional yeast shaker? Like who made this decision lmao.“

“We made a special trip from the DFW to visit the #1 and #2 spots. We waited in line at both locations, we arrived at L&L at 11am and sat down with our food at 12:30. Leroy and Lewis is hands down better than TM’s #1 spot. Their brisket was moist and very flavorful with a really good bark. We had their Barbacoa as our other meat option which had it own good flavor. Our side were the Frito pie and chiro-taters, both were good. We’ll definitely be back at some point to tryout more of the menu.“

The food and ambience of the restaurant is high quality with unique dishes. We had the 14 oz New York Strip with sides of charred carrots and twice baked potato. We also had the wedge salad that could be a meal itself. GOOD food!“

The Floridian omelette was rich and full of flavor. The grits were so creamy, I requested some cheese on top but it honestly didn't need any. the Bacqueza Omelette was savory and smokey with just enough spice and creaminess from the cream cheese. Our server Isaiah was polite and provided us great service. The only issue we had was how rude and uninterested the hostess was.“

“Had a solid night at Pinthouse Pizza and it did not miss.

We ordered the Oh La La and The Works plus a Caesar salad. First of all, that salad was massive. Not one of those sad side salads, this thing could’ve been a meal on its own. Fresh, crunchy, plenty of dressing, no skimping.

The pizzas came out quick which I always respect, especially when it’s busy. Both were so good but in totally different ways. The Oh La La had that sweet and savory combo that just works, and The Works was stacked with toppings without being overwhelming. Crust was on point, not too thick, not floppy, just right.

We didn’t grab any beers, but everything coming out around us looked legit. You can tell they take their brewing seriously.

There’s plenty of seating so it doesn’t feel cramped, and the whole vibe is easy and relaxed. Good for a casual dinner, group hang, whatever.

Fast service, big portions, great pizza. I’d definitely go back.“

I think there needs to be more concepts like this — 12 course omakase that only lasts 45min. (You simply don’t need to be at an omakase for 2-2.5hrs) Excellent dishes for the price point and glad to have still had time on my hands. The scallop, Wagyu, and fish bone soup were the stand out dishes for me. Would do this again and prefer it over a lot of overpriced omakases in town.“
