“What a pleasant surprise. We had the cellars flight of wine and were once again floored by the great taste. The bartender was amazing. She ran the complete bar by herself. She was nonstop. The flight of wine includes a selection of five wines. We drank one (1) white, one (1) rose, and three (3) reds. They were all amazing. We ended up buying four (4) bottles. The wine in Texas is simply amazing. Full disclosure I’m not an expert in wine by any means however I was amazed nonetheless. So the debate wasNot enough time at the cellar sipping on wine in a great atmosphereORWas the desperation for great BBQ overwhelming. The cellar has outdoor seating areas that are beautiful.Cheers“
“In my continuing search for fabulous Texas Hill Country BBQ, I sampled the brisket from Kelly’s in Wimberley SW of Austin.A food trailer in a laundromat parking lot across from the hub of Wimberley, the local HEB, may seem strange. But Kelly’s brisket was “genuine no-knife needed, melt in your mouth” fantastic. Little picnic tables, styrofoam containers, rolls of paper towels with plastic cutlery made the dining experience much different, no doubt. But Kelly’s focus is 100% about the BBQ. I saw 1 guy standing at the rear of his open door SUV, eating his lunch. Bottom line is simple: it’s all about the food, not the setting.Open Tuesday through Saturday 11am until they run out of food. Highly recommended!“
“1000/1000 would recommend Crimson Creek for any events that you are throwing! Jamie makes the process so easy and seamless. The food is absolutely amazing and mouthwatering. We booked them for a rehearsal dinner at Deep Eddy and it was the best experience. Can’t wait to go back to Dripping Springs to eat this yummy food again :)“
“We chose I Do BBQ (Pig Pen BBQ) for our wedding and it was fantastic! Everyone really enjoyed it, the brisket was great and the turkey was super juicy, and the sides were delicious. The price was very reasonable and well worth it! Michelle was great to work with, and everything went wonderful. Thanks I Do BBQ for catering our wedding!!“
“I needed to get my kids out of the house to run off some energy so I ended up at 12 Fox.It was late evening so I didn’t get to try the beer (next time). However we did have dinner at Gummies BBQ and it was great. I had the pulled pork Elote bowl which was a good size portion for the price and my kids shared the sausage plate. I would definitely eat here again.“
“Mick has been serving the exact same, stunningly high quality brisket from this unassuming food truck on the corner of Circle Drive and Thomas Springs for twenty years. Everything made to order, super nice guy, when he has sausage get it. If he makes anything special, get it! But if it is one-shot then get a breakfast brisket taco with the cheese mixed with the eggs, OMG so good. After 10 or so just get a brisket sandwich. He grills the bread and with pickles and onions and the mild hot sauce is divine. He is usually out of stock by 1:30 and gone by 2pm but is there early. These sandwiches are double this price anywhere else. Magical secret!“
“I love the bbq and have been a long time supporter but was pretty concerned when the kid at the drive in booth called Dripping Springs finest x 3 on me because I had a beer (a spitter) in my console. The cops stopped me in the drive thru (got there in 3 minutes tops). They of course treated me like I was a hard criminal right in front of my kids. Of course they let me go because I was not drinking but I’d recommend if you go here- consider them checking out your car. Hide ANYTHING you don’t want to be busted for. My bad for grabbing the only thing under my tool box on my way back from Louisiana so I could spit drainage from this crazy allergy season. Good job to the staff at the restaurant but please learn to mind your own business.“
“We didn't eat here but the food that others were having looked great! We came in for drinks and the Blackberry Smash was SOOO Delicious! I was just bummed that the Whisky used in that drink was sold out :( but that's a good problem to have I guess! The property is just Gorgeous! Staff was all so friendly! Go here.“
“Mickey, the cook, started his bbq taco truck to create an ultimate experience for his visitors. I like to call his dishes, the “low-key Valentina’s”His food is phenomenal and very generous with the portionsStop by and spread the good word about this hidden gem!“
“My recent takeout experience from The Switch was great. I'm from out of town, and it was my first time trying it. I'm so happy we did! The food was delicious, and the customer service was exceptional. I will definitely be returning next time I visit. Highly recommend“
“We had an outstanding experience at The Salt Lick BBQ! From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted by an inviting and earthy atmosphere that set the perfect tone for our meal. The staff were not only friendly but also helpful, guiding us through the ordering process seamlessly. Despite a wait of about 25 minutes, which wasn't bad considering the popularity of the place. We ordered ribs— btw they are very generous portions.Absolutely divine and truly a standout dish. The Chicken was flavorful, it practically melted off the bone. The Brisket was perfectly done, with just the right balance of flavor and tenderness.Their desserts are amazing, the peach cobbler and chocolate pecan pie are exceptional!!While the BBQ and desserts were exceptional, the only downside was the limited variety of sides. We would have loved more options to complement the savory goodness of the BBQ. Nonetheless, The Salt Lick BBQ earns a solid five ✨ stars for its fantastic atmosphere, friendly service, and unbeatable BBQ offerings. Can't wait to return!“
