“We chose this place to cater our MHS 50th HS Reunion. We got chicken & beef fajitas, spanish rice and beans and tortillas. In addition every person got individual cups of sour cream, guacamole and pico de gallo. We had 100 plates and EVERYONE raved on and on about how delicious the food, the service and the professionalism was for this restaurant. It is a hidden gem on the Southside of town and I know many of us will definitely go back for their delicious food and outstanding service“

ALL of their food is homemade and even states on a sign that it will take some time to make because they make every dish from scratch!
I absolutely love the Pazole Rojo it brought me back memories when my great-grandmother used to make it. Just be patient and enjoy your food because it’s absolutely delicious!“

“My food was delicious I ordered the Plato Mexicano and everything was delicious except the beans tasted a little burned. I ordered a Blue Milagro margarita which was very tasty.
**Update- this is still one of my favorite places to eat Mexican food. The enchiladas were nice and cheesy but the rice has always been my go to. On top of that I love how they bring us chips and salsa before we even order our drinks.“

“Food was really good. I had the machado plate with a side order of bacon. Great homemade tortillas. Prices are very reasonable. Excellent service. Waitress was very polite and prompt. The only drawback, the building is very old and dilapidated. 90% of the customers are locals. This is a family owned restaurant. Next time I drive thru Floresville, I'll be stopping by again.“

“This is my old neighborhood but never saw this place before . I live in Kirby . Had a great meal , my soft chicken tacos were delicious ..My husband had enchiladas , he liked them ..just not crazy about carne Guisada gravy on them . It should be homemade enchilada sauce , Traditional .. I hope that changes ..We still enjoyed it n will return ..Loved the service . T you .“

“An amazing atmosphere hole in the wall, Mexican restaurant on the east side. Anna waitress/ Servicetech. I as an amazing person and respectful and helpful. She goes out her way to attend to everybody’s needs and gives you a few minutes of our time to speak with you.. thanks Anna for all you do. “This place is very standard. The food is good and the staff is attentive. Prices are not bad either.
Only drawback is that if you order ahead they won't accept it if it's more than $30. But I guess they've gotten burned by other people not picking up their food before.“

The most delicious tacos at affordable prices!
I stopped by 4 food trucks before finding El Caminante because everyone else was cash only.
Here, I was greeted with a smile while being patient with me to figure out what I wanted to eat. I ordered the order of mini tacos, chicken quesadillas, charros & Mexican cokes. All so good!

The waitress, Alondra was so patient with us. We asked more questions than customs agent during a crossing inspection ??
And the food here was amazing...I came from a VA appointment and wasn't expecting much untill we bit into our food....oof!!! Off we went into cloud 9.
ASK FOR CARNE ASADA BURRITO ? let's make them put it in the menu.

“It's called Vallarta Taco now I believe (Jamitos Taquitos sign is still up even when it was called Patty's 2). Delicious breakfast tacos and plates. Love those handmade tortillas. The waitress and cashiers are alway very friendly and fast. Small amount of seating inside and can be cramped but it doesn't matter when you're eating that yummy bean and cheese taco.“

“Went today for breakfast at 6:10 am. Waited till 6:15 at drive thru , no one answered, drove up to drive thru window ,there were 3 employees that saw me and walked away. I thought they open at 6 am. If they weren't ready they could have let me know instead of walking away. Very unprofessional, I frequent place alot after I get off at work at 6 am and never have had that treatment. I will never go to another las palapas again. Or will recommend anyone to them again.“

“We placed a to go order for four people. The girl taking our order was very nice and the order was ready in a timely fashion. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals of street tacos , biraccho beans, chicken quesadilla, and chicken fajita taco salad. Definitely a good choice!“
