We got the tacos, the loaded potato, the elotes, and the jalapeño poppers. Everything on the menu looked amazing so we had to try a little bit of each. Next time I will be getting the sandwich because the tacos were really dry. Everything else was amazing. Bad choice for my first time eating there, as I passed everyone having a sandwich I wished I would’ve ordered one cause they really looked good. I can’t wait to go back and try something new and the bread pudding. I will stick to the meat and sides. It’s a no for me on the brisket tacos.“

“I ate here all the time when the Casstevens family owned it and they were on the Texas Monthly BBQ radar. Had a couple of bad trips after the ownership change, but gave it a try today, and I was really glad I did. The brisket on my sandwich was moist and delicious (no sauce for me). The portion was just right for a normal human, and the lunch special came with a bag of chips and a cold, canned soft drink for only $5.99. I'll definitely be back again.“

The Outlawz Fries you could stack them your way - go crazy! Lots of options for toppings, and not dry at all. You can finish them off with their mushroom sauce (which is what we got) And the brisket burger... insane. Juicy, messy in the best way, and definitely the star of the meal and my personal favorite. Dip it in the Bbq sauce and it's *chefs kiss* perfect combo

“1st time here, made the 2 hour drive because we had heard so much good stuff about it.
My wife and myself chose to have the sliced brisket with sides for me of corn on the cob and green beans, my wife had the smoked mac-n- cheese along with green beans. The sides were good and loved the Mac n cheese. Now for the good stuff- the sliced brisket. From the first bite on, our taste buds were in for a delightful treat. The brisket was smoked to perfection. The taste, the texture, you could feel flavor melt in your mouth.
You do get a knife but we didnt need it as the brisket was so tender you only needed a fork. Didn't even need the BBQ sauce because the flavor was there. Add the BBQ sauce- oh my Lord, it paired perfectly with the brisket so full of a sweet flavor with a hint of a spice kick.
It is easy to see why this place is so popular and why we both were recommend personally by people and why it has gained national attention.
The staff was awesome and along with the food, made our trip from Oklahoma well worth it. It lived up to all our expectations and beyond. Hands down the best we have tasted from any restaurant style facility.

“Some of the best BBQ in Ft. Worth. Not a really big place but they've been around for years. There aren't many people you can talk to in Ft. Worth who don't know about Lloyd's cafe. It's almost a historical movie to the local residents. Laid back atmosphere and they boast "the coldest beer in Ft. Worth." The ribs(meat falling off the bone and so flavorful) and bolo are my personal favorites! And the weekend is probably the best time to visit.“
