“We recently stayed at the villas at Barons Creek Vineyard. We loved the beauty of the property and the convenience of having great wine and nibbles. The Merlot was our favorite and Matthew was so much fun as he shared about the different wines and provided our tastings. Barons is also a stop on the 290 Wine Shuttle so again, very convenient. We plan to do this again!“

“I’ve been a member of Safari since 2020 and had the opportunity this weekend to bring my best friends. They LOVED it! Kasey, our wine host, was incredible! She really took the time to explain the flavor profiles of each wine and offered suggestions to each member of our party. One of my friends even joined on the spot! “My wife Caroline and I stopped at Nury’s on Main Street in Fredericksburg. We loved the restaurant! The atmosphere, friendly staff, great selections of delicious cuisines, good quality and value. We met the owner Nury and she was so nice and friendly. We ordered some beef empanadas and loved it. We’re definitely going back. It’s our favorite spot now.“

“We tried this place for my husband’s birthday after all the great reviews online and it did not disappoint!!! We’re from Houston and we have LOTS of great restaurants so I honestly didn’t expect much from a restaurant in Fredericksburg. Boy was I wrong! Starting with our server Rych, he was sooo lively and ensured every course was served very promptly. Truly exceptional service. They brought us all small samples of carrot and ancho soup I believe. I HATE carrots but this soup was so savory and delicious. We had the lobster boudin balls, deviled eggs and the bacon wrapped jalapeño and sausage for appetizers. All were amazing! Lastly we had to try the lobster topped chicken fried ribeye and it was heavenly. I was highly disappointed that I couldn’t finish it all!! I will tell anyone I know visiting Fredericksburg to dine here and I can’t wait to return myself!!“

Gift shop was beautiful and there was a wide variety of plants to purchase along with garden decor. Wine tasted great too.“

“I got to try Hye Cider at H‑E‑B and I was surprised! I’m not much of a cider person but wow this actually tasted really good! I really like the flavor of the Hye Heaven, it’s more sweet but not overly sweet which is just the taste I go for nowadays. I definitely recommend!“

“We visited here on a Saturday morning around 10am in Aug 2025. The place was packed and there was about a 40 minute wait to get a seat. You have to wait outside and it was hot. There is an awning that provides some shade. There are not enough places to sit so you will probably have to stand and wait. If your entire party isn't there they will skip over you and call the next group. When you get there go inside and put your name on the list then go outside to wait for your name to be called. This place is small and cramped and packed. There is a bakery and it serves delicious sweet and savory baked goods as well as loaves of bread. We ordered the oma's breakfast and the opa's breakfast. It was okay. We would highly recommend the bakery and, if you have the time to wait, eat at the restaurant.“

“I’m not sure where to begin. My husband and I ate lunch on the back patio today with our dog, Dino. We were promptly greeted by our server Jo, who must have written the manual on great service. She was attentive, witty and full of information. Our food was equally as great, we’ve eaten quite a bit of bratwurst in this town in the past 5 weeks, and theirs is lights out. Oh, and to top it off the live music was awesome, check their schedule so you don’t miss Cliff Crawford.“

My burger was oozing with goat cheese and a mouth watering 1/2 pound beef patty, hell I even added a fried egg!!! “Recommended by an acquaintance. About 6 miles North of town in an old Sinclair gas station. A small bar and 4 tables. Menu choice was a DinoBLT or hot wings. We went for the BLT. Order at the bar, no table service. BLT's came out in a paper sack. Bottle beer and canned soda are the beverage options, no water. Could well be the best BLT I ever had. $10.00. Weekends The menu changes to DinoBurger $20.00 and wings. Would have come back for that but left town the next day. While waiting around for food, wander through the service bay.“

“My wife and I stopped in for lunch on our anniversary, just happened to walk into it as we were walking Main Street. We were sat immediately and the wait staff was wonderful (friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable). We started with fried ravioli (WOULD RECOMMEND), my wife got the special (Fet. Alfredo) and I got lasagna. They were both 11/10, best lasagna I’ve ever had. Bread was perfect. So happy we lucked into this spot will be a must stop when coming back to Fredericksburg!“

“We really enjoyed our dinner at Rathskeller. I had the blackened Mahi Mahi and it was delicious. My husband said the Heavenly Tilapia was the best he’s ever had. The rice pilaf wasn’t bad, but it was more of a Spanish rice IMO. I enjoyed the cheddar mashed potatoes, but my husband was not impressed with them. Over all, our dinner was wonderful and the service was great. We’d go back again!“

“We go to Mamcita's almost every time we are in town. The food is always good, but this past weekend, we went and I went into the restroom and it was awful. The second stall was so nasty and I tried to flush it down, but the handle was broke. So I waited for the next one to open up. After I walked out, told the lady by the desserts and she cut me off right away and said they knew it. Why was this not addressed and at least put a note on the door that is was out of order? Why was not not fixed when it was reported the first time. Please keep restrooms clean-this also gives a red flag that leans to the wonder of the kitchen. This was a big turn off!!“
