Suddenly in comes a bunch of pre-teens, cackling and shouting. Too many parents make the mistake of assuming that we all want to see and hear their kids: teach them to recognize and respect quiet. Otherwise, as I said, a nice and convenient spot with a good selection for coffee and low-dB conversation.“

“As soon as we walked in we’re were greeted, the owners are very polite and super friendly. Their Chilaquiles and Churros are to die for. Best churros I’ve had living in Texas so far. 100% recommend them for a good meal for breakfast or lunch. They serve Beer too!“

All locations cater mostly to drive- thru customers, but they do have a couple of outside tables on a small patio area. “I only recently heard the my city (SATX) had a PJs. Woooowhooo. I discovered this Bulverde Rd location is only about 12 minutes away. So,.., here we go. 3 biegnwts and a classic dark roast chicory coffee. Oh my. Yum. Slap ya Momma and run around da room! It was good and I'm glad I came. “My last two visits to The Human Bean have been pretty terrible experiences and I’ve reached out twice trying to speak with someone about it and haven’t heard back, other than from someone that said my message forwarded to the right people. The last visit was so bad I had to throw my drink away. Other than those two visits and the lack of customer support, other experiences have been perfect. We’ll be taking a small break for now from The Human Bean though and won’t be giving a specific location a third chance.“

Wicked polite and as we were waiting, they kept up with wait times, alternative seating and the reality of sitting on the patio....TOO HOT for this northerner transplanted in Texas. Our waitress was super sweet and went out of her way when we asked if there was a way we could try some pastries. The 2 of us could not do a full tier platter because of the portion sizes, but golly!!!!!! Did they make our day with letting us have a few that are usually for afternoon tea exclusively. We will be back with another friend couple to experience the full afternoon tea!!! You really know how to make people feel welcome.“

“I love this cozy and quaint neighborhood spot. My favorite type of novelty drink/flavored latte is one that has house-made syrup. Today, I ordered the seasonal pumpkin flavored latte and it was amazing.

Something else that I prefer is Almond Milk in my lattes as I don’t like dairy and oat milk (which is offered at most places) is basically sugar water. This coffee shop has a barista blend almond milk which tasted amazing in my latte. I truly enjoy coming here and will make this my “go-to” coffee shop in my area.“

As a regular, on weekdays and weekends, I am always greeted with a welcoming smile, and usually my order is remembered by whomever is working that day. “My husband and I went in last Friday for a sweet treat to end our date and decided on cookies! We checked out TX Cookie Shop and were pleasantly surprised! We’ve had Crumbl and Dirty Dough and honestly have felt they are nothing to write home about (lol), just overly sweet cookies in various and indulgent flavors. I wouldn’t go out of my way to get cookies from either of these places. TCS was delicious, the butter pecan was the perfect balance of sweet and salty and the oatmeal cookie was equally as good! We got 1/2 dz so we could share with my kiddos and everyone enjoyed them!!! We will definitely be back!“
