“Went with a group of friends that recommended this place and now I see why. For appetizers we got wings and the boudin ? I personality got the pit boss burger it was so good! At our table we had a mixture of plates. Chicken fried steak, chicken fried chicken, catfish, and brisket. Everything was so delicious, to end our feast we got a cheesecake, Mississippi Mudslide, and All American Apple Pie Jar ?“

I cannot believe how exceptional the food was, which was only matched by the superior service. You seat yourself and order at the register. The wait staff gave a full description of the menu offerings, specials, and favorites. They were most pleasant and professional. We ordered the salmon and shrimp with curry rice, fried fish with plantains and potato salad, and slices of carrot and red velvet cake. Everything was freshly made to order, and the wait was worth it. Packed with flavor, hot, well presented, it's the best meal we have had in some time. “It was my first time here while visiting Houston and I was so impressed!!! I ordered the fire in the hole burger, it was extremely delicious!!! The food is never frozen and the taste shows that to be true. The ingredients definitely consist of Love which is always a necessary ingredient. The atmosphere has a very homey feel to it. “You will get a much higher quality food and dining experience here than you will at McDonalds, and with the massive inflation of fast food prices, its only a tiny bit more expensive.Go ahead and pay the extra 25% over McDonalds and get some fresh food and good service rather than a cold burger and old fries.Entry level sit down dining on lunch breaks is making a comeback cause everybody one tier lower decided to get greedy.Lunch for two (including a 14oz steak that was very good, and a pasta dish) came out to about $33.“

“The atmosphere is laid back. I went there on Sunday Apr21 to check out their live music scene. They had The Texas Heat band playing. They were pretty good. I only tried their Alligator Tail bites, and they were very good and well seasoned. The Corona's were cold and the salt and lime added a great taste. They went down pretty easy. Overall I had a great time.“

“Went to try out the Blue Lagoon Easter brunch buffet and it did not disappoint. Anything we wanted to eat, they had plus way more. We walked in to a assorted batch baked goods followed by full set up of country breakfast. It included all the breakfast staples plus chicken fried steaks, biscuits and gravy, eggs Benedict, and chicken and waffles. The next table over was a prime rib carving station that was carved by the Chef himself. The prime rib was perfectly cooked and tender and came with horse radish sauce, au jus, and veggie sides. Next, there was pizza followed by an made to order omelette station. We then come up to an assortment of cajun food (the gumbo was delicious). Towards the end there was a beautiful charcuterie layout. We were pleasantly surprised to see the they had smoked salmon for the bagels. The dessert table was the Cherry on top of the whole buffet, so many different cakes and cookies to choose from. The food was amazing, the staff was so nice and attentive, we hope to attend the next buffet event at the Blue Lagoon.“

“The service was pretty good. However, I didn’t realize until after we left that the first Long Island iced tea that was watered down was not removed from the ticket. Paid for 2 and received 1. Ugg. Will look at receipts closer from now on. Live & learn. However, I did enjoy the Victory Lane cocktail.“

“AWESOME! We had a very large order for a family party....50 chicken tenders and 24 fish filets and sides. We ordered the day before, it was done in time, and we even ordered 24 more tenders and 12 more filets at pickup. They were very helpful and all was done efficiently. The food is always so delicious.“
