“First time dining at Fish City Grill at 7010 W Loop 1604 N and could not have been happier with the food, service and all-around experience. My wife and I were eating out on our 22nd wedding anniversary and chose this location based on the online menu and reviews. She had the blackened cobia tacos on the special of the day menu and I had the fried seafood platter. Both were excellent as was the shrimp and crab queso appetizer. In addition, our waiter brought us a free sampler that included the roasted jalapeno soup, crab bisque, clam chowder and gumbo. All were delicious. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive throughout our meal and presented us with a 20% off coupon for our next visit. We were surprised that the place was not more crowded than it was on a Saturday evening, because the food and overall experience should be attracting a big clientele. Again, thanks to the entire staff for a wonderful dining experience. And for anyone thinking about visiting, don't hesitate. You're missing a great meal at a very reasonable price.“

“Customer friendly does no justice to how they make you feel there. Had my first date there. My white shirt was employee of the month. And it showed outstanding service trust your server explain what you're looking for and they got you from top to bottom outstanding customer service beyond belief. Lobster tacos yes . “High end Mexican food with their own take on classic dishes. The food itself is high quality ingredients such as the wagyu fajitas (pictured) with your choice of flour or corn tortillas. We also had the fried fish tacos which were delicious. One nice surprise was the corn cakes. It was similar to a very moist cornbread cupcake with herb butter. Already looking forward to having these again. We were seating in the second building which is decorated very nice, but as it filled up it has terrible acoustics, so you have to shout at each other to speak. There is also a nice patio and bar outside that wasn’t being used during our weekday lunch visit. The staff was professional and attentive and made a positive experience. Highly recommend and will definitely go back when we want a unique twist on traditional Mexican food.“

Very chill, casual setup here with comfortable seating and easy to read menus.
I've gotten the mermaid oysters as an appetizer each time. They're delicious and have an extra sweetness to them that most oysters lack. As for main dishes, I am a huge fan of the gumbo here. Probably the best gumbo I've had in Texas. Its incredible. Simple yet full of flavor and perfectly balanced. Not super salty like most others.
Recently we had the coriander fish tacos either bacon, pico de gallo, jalapeños and Chipotle sauce. Omg that was 🤌😘
My wife got the Branzino which was served with broccolini and potatoes. A little more hearty of a meal, and very well prepared.
There hadn't been a miss we've tried yet. I'd definitely give this spot a try if you're in the area and in the mood for some fish! Super easy to order gluten-free here. They have a decent menu of cocktails and a full bar if you're looking to hang out.

I was not expecting this much from a fast food seafood place, and was completely blown away by the value!

I had the Mexican Style Fish Plate. Very filling, and the fish and shrimp were both well-seasoned. My boyfriend had the shrimp tacos, and loved them. Rice was tasty.

“I hadn't visited this location in years many years... Its so much bigger than other locations. It was very clean. Due to its beening Good Friday the line was long. I ordered 2 fish sandwiches only no combos it was $17.30 yes the sandwich is big not huge but just still seemed alot for only 2 sandwiches. There was only 1 waitress but ahe def was doing what she could to keep up. I did noticed she had a young man helping with drinks but he looked so unprofessional, walking around with these huge headphones 🎧 on his head. It didn't look right and management should be showing him 2 be proud of his work and proud of his look. They did have a perfect city score and it did show.“

“This location does not have a drive thru but still great for pick up only. Though the parking lot layout is a bit strange there are plenty of parking spots for normal business traffic.

The kitchen appears to be clean and the front waiting area feels a little dated.
A little love to the front would make the waiting experience a bit more pleasing but the food never disappoints.“

Giving this place 5 stars because the prices are amazing and I save a lot more than going to Bill Millard, KFC, Churches chicken. The chicken is a great size and the fries are nice. Just the sweet tea and the wait at times is a hit or miss. Other than that I'll continue coming to Cap'n Jims“
