“We never been there and having reservations helped but I loved absolutely everything of the restaurant. It was so wonderful there our waiter Brian was so understanding and caring and patient and helped us with menu. Highly recommend this restaurant very much.“
“Food was great, just as expected from a highly rated BBQ/Hotpot restaurant. Wait time was totally unreasonable, had waitlisted ourselves 2 hours in advance and arrived around 6:30pm (5pm I waitlisted us on yelp for a spot and as per the app our table should have been ready between 7-7:30) but we had to wait an additional 50 minutes until we were able to sit at 8:20 because they over booked. We were a group of 6 who drove all the way from Brownsville to celebrate my BDay only to be delayed a great amount of time without any proper update as to how much longer the wait could be. There were a few more people who also complained so we weren't the only ones. So my 2 cents is that weekend dinner service is crazy busy and KPot needs to step up there game and really need to make some adjustments. Also update your menus tip surcharge bc we were charged 18% for a group of 6 even though your menu clearly writes 18% is for a group of 8 and above. When I questioned the tip was told it's automatically entered because we were a group of 6. Didn't want to complain bc we were there to celebrate and already were frustrated from the nearly 1 hour delay to be seated. We did enjoy the food and drinks that's why I didn't lower the rating. We chose the BBQ&hot pot option which was lovely and even got a happy birthday song, mini cupcake and the mascot visit...unfortunately no teddy ( which I didn't even know was provided until our server informed us that was provided) because my bday was on the 20th and we came on the 23rd missed out on the teddy. But what to do when as mentioned we live 5 hours away so no way would we have made it on Friday after work.“
“My daughter & I were visiting San Antonio for our boy's BMT graduation & really wanted some good steak. This popped up & we really liked the menu...no prices though, well, lesson learned! Spent way, way more than I would ever on a meal, but we were visitors & the food was amazing. Our waiter was so adorable with his accent. Love how he portioned our meal for us & took such good care of us. I honestly would not go here again as my budget definitely would not allow it.“
“This is a nice Italian restaurant. Not the best Italian food in San Antonio, but not bad either. Excellent service and wait staff. Beautiful, clean, bright facility. The food seems rushed and minimally seasoned. Large portions, so won’t leave hungry. But it is busy and a bit noisy, so good place for a group or family.“
“Food is consistently good. Very good flavor and quick service. I enjoy the Baja Fish Tacos the best and get it almost everytime I go. The restaurant is small and nothing special to see but for a quick bite it is a nice stop. The employees have always been very nice and helpful. Highly recommend as a place to go.“
“We recommend taking a boat ride for about $15 and taking a leisurely tour of the city center. We also recommend taking a walk along the riverside road while looking at the many restaurants and buildings. As it gets dark, the lights of the riverside restaurants turn on one by one, creating a beautiful night view where the river and lights come together. A must see. Recommend to visit here.“
“Willie's is definitely my family's go to when we are in town. Food and service is amazing! Our server Dymond was exceptionally pleasant and gave 5☆ service. She made us feel right at home which is why we will keep coming back for more! If you want service that is so hard to find now a days I highly recommend you won't be disappointed!“
“Emily is one of the best servers. Every time we come to Willie’s I look for her area to find an open table. She is courteous always has a smile, works hard, and very attentive to what we need. She is observance of our drinks and offers a refillCheck in on us just enough. We are very happy going to support this location. As we are well aware of the other locations.Thank you Emily!“
“If I could give them 6 stars I would. From the moment I entered the restaurant to the time I left, I can say I absolutely LOVED it. Valentino was SO kind, patient, and thorough. Most importantly, the restaurant was clean and so was the restroom (a plus was the friendly and inclusive bathroom signs). Also, it wasn’t too loud or hectic which truly allowed us to enjoy our meal.Lastly, I can say that this is the first time in years where I’ve looked at a menu and wanted to order more than half of it ? The food was fresh and delicious and they have great drink options with a stacked bar! I will be coming back for sure.Below are my recommendations:1. Chargrilled oysters2. Shrimp tacos3. Soups: Roasted Jalapeños, Clam Chowder, and the Crab Bisque (mamá mía!)4. Fish tacos5. Vampire Sauce Crawfish w/ sausage and boiled egg (5/5 for those that like fresh & big crawfish).6. HURRICANE LOVETT (too good I forgot the pic??♀️)Bacardi Pineapple Rum, Myers’s Rum, Cruzan Hurricane Proof Rum, red passion fruit, orange, limeKid-friendliness: Good for family“
“We had an amazing night at Carriqui. Our server Jarrell was awesome. We tried many of their signature drinks and enjoyed them all. The star of the show was the sweet corn cakes. I have never had anything close to taste and texture like that. Another interesting and delicious item was the Mole Blanco with cauliflower. Very unique and scrumptious. Overall 10 out of 10 and would go back.“
“If you have a craving for fish and chips, this is THE place. Nice pieces of cod, breading was perfectly done. Fries are nice and crispy. They gave us a "sample plate since it was our first visit with a taste of their soups and oyster nachos. All were excellent, and the oyster nachos were fantastic. Definitely adding to our rotation of favorite restaurants.“
“Excellent food. We had the lobster bisque, a BBQ shrimp flatbread and street tacos. It was wonderful. Our server was great. The sound level was low and we could talk and hear each other perfectly. We had an 1130 lunch. I will come back again. Highly recommend.“
“Always love coming to Willie’s & this time was more than amazing! Shelsea was our server & she was so attentive & sweet. We got two pounds of crawfish for the table & they were MASSIVE & tasted great. Shelsea accommodated our group so well.“
“I recently dined at Pappadeaux Seafood, and it was an absolute pleasure! From the moment we stepped in, the welcoming atmosphere and attentive service set the stage for a memorable meal. The menu offers a fantastic selection of seafood, and every dish we tried was cooked to perfection. I was particularly impressed with the freshness of the ingredients – the seafood was clearly top-notch. The Blackened Oyster and Shrimp Fondue was a standout, bursting with flavors that tantalized our taste buds. The staff was knowledgeable, offering great recommendations and ensuring our experience was delightful. The ambiance of the restaurant is perfect for both casual and special occasions. I left Pappadeaux feeling fully satisfied and eager to return. If you’re a seafood lover looking for quality dishes in a friendly and inviting environment, Pappadeaux Seafood is a must-visit!“
“A nice date night place if you want to throw down on good Japanese food. The all you can eat menu is decently priced. Food comes out prompt and delicious and the wait staff are great, bear in mind the place gets busy but that is imo an indicator of a good place to be. Come hungry!“
“The food was a little above average it wasn't anything special. We stopped by this place last night after dropping off my wifes family. We were exhausted after a long day at Fiesta Texas and we were hungry. So I went on Google maps to find a Mexican restaurant and this restaurant had a 4.7 review rating. So we decided to give it a try. The nachos we ordered were good the only thing I didn't care for was they turned soggy very quickly. The caldo de pollo I ordered was very delicious. What stood out about this restaurant was the customer service and the attentiveness of the owner. He was very kind and explained everything to us. I would definitely come back to this restaurant just because of the customer service. Thank you Ernesto for feeding me and my family!!!“
“Went in for a wonderful meal and found it! First the hostesses were amazing and laughing set the mood immediately. Ramon took amazing care of us! The food was amazing, we had a hidden menu item, ask about appetizer secrets! Manager came and visited with us, Patron energy with that Grandfather familiarity!!! Enjoyed the Ribeye Steak , made fajitas, we had tacos and Fresca Lemonade and Margarita. Finish with Chorros and swore we would got for gym later!!! Haha we a great addition to a great day. Thank all for making it special!!“
“As I walked into the restaurant, I was greeted by a warm ambiance and the tantalizing aroma of freshly cooked food. The attentive staff seated me by the window, offering a picturesque view of the city skyline. As I perused the menu, I was impressed by the diverse selection of dishes, each one crafted with care and creativity. When my meal arrived, it exceeded all expectations - every bite bursting with flavor and expertly balanced. Throughout the evening, the staff went above and beyond to ensure my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional, making me feel like a valued guest. As I left, I couldn't help but reflect on the unforgettable culinary journey I had just experienced, eager to return and savor more delights from this extraordinary restaurant.“
“Great place for sharable dishes. We had the ceviche rojo and the guacamole with shrimp..very good.. service was good...it was busy so it did take a minute to get our food but order a good drink and you'll be fine... table hot sauces were great too.“
“Scuzzi’s never disappoints. Wonderful atmosphere and delicious food! Next time you stop by, be sure to ask for Rudy to be your server because he provides excellent customer service on account of his attentive and personable nature. 10/10 highly recommend!“
“I visited because Bayseas Catfish House was said to have the best southern fried catfish in San Antonio. The restaurant was empty of customers during my visit. I ordered the fried catfish. It was delicious. And the service I received was Great.“
“I was searching for a good mariscos place because the norm here is to go to El Bucanero, which I find not to be good at all. However, I stumbled upon this restaurant and I absolutely love it. I always recommend this place to my family and friends, and they are never disappointed.“
“First off, the atmosphere is so beautiful! This place is perfect for a romantic dinner, a happy hour lunch on the weekends or even salsa dancing! Lauren was at the bar and she was amazing from start to finish. Super friendly and easy to talk with and she made 2 fantastic espresso martinis for me. I had the Sofia fries, garlic and onion mushrooms, (I forget the name of the dinner plate off hand but will update!). The food was fantastic and is a wonderful, refreshing change from your everyday SA staples. Totally recommend coming at least once! I will absolutely be back to check out the salsa dancing & piano bar!“
“Food and service were both great. Tabatha did a superb job. It was our 55th anniversary and it was acknowledged by a glass of champagne prior to the meal as well as dessert. The manager was very helpful with the eclub activity. Will definitely return in near future“
“Almost any seafood restaurant with a life-size pirate on board is usually alright with me, and this place was no exception! This was our first time here, and everyone was happy with all the food. Started off with a large shrimp cocktail that we shared. The cocktail sauce was more like what I loved back home, and tasted refreshing. I also appreciated the tasty thick cut cucumbers. The rest of the food was also a hit! The kids Pasta Blanca de Camarón got rave reviews, and my wife's stuffed fillet covered in spicy chipotle sauce was impressive! She really enjoyed it, including the cilantro? rice and veggies. My "large" caldo de mariscos came in a GINORMOUS bowl about the size of my head. Very tasty and filled with a good amount of seafood. The broth was tasty, but lacked a little something to make it great. I added some of my wife's chipotle sauce and it helped. We also loved the little complimentary "shot glass" sized cups of piping hot, peppery tasting, fish broth. A nice little treat along with friendly service! We'll definitely be back. ??“
“No view = no wait. Not busy on a Friday due to the renovation blocking the view of the river. Staff decent, courteous. Food came out reasonably timed. Delicious. Have had better experiences here in the past, thus the 4 rather than 5 stars knowing the experience could have been “
“Excellent food in a relaxed but fun atmosphere. Service is always spot on. I had the Honey Chipotle Shrimp Tacos from the regular menu and they were delish. They always a specialty taco on the blackboard which i love. I generally don't like chains but this is one exception.“
“Wow is all I have to say. The food never disappoints. Our waitress was AWESOME. The reason for the 4 star instead of 5 was because of the hostist. You walk into pure attitude and a rude face. It was only Tuesday. Just really disappointing to walk into. The food is always 100%“
“One of my favorite places to eat. Wonderful experience and amazing food as usual. Looks like they removed some all time favorites from the menu (no crab cakes, or lobster bisque... really!?)... I was a little bummed about that, but the items I did order were fantastic.“
“Having a meal at Perry’s is always a great experience. We were immediately greeted by our server, Gibby. We dined at the restaurant last night and had the 10 ounce fillet, macaroni and cheese, and twice baked whipped potatoes. The steak was perfectly cooked at medium rare and very hot. The macaroni and cheese was great, The twice baked potatoes were melt in your mouth delicious! The service was fantastic. Gibby seemed to appear whenever we needed something, yet he did not hover. There are a number of high-end steakhouses in San Antonio, and Perry’s never disappoints! We definitely will be back.“
“Anyone who knows me knows that I am super picky when it comes to this type of food. I am not the biggest fan of seafood and when it comes to Mexican food, I’m even harsher. Why? Because I am a Mexican living in San Antonio and I have yet to find a half decent restaurant with good Mexican food. Thankfully, I’m very happy to say that this restaurant qualifies as one of the better ones. I may be a little biased because I know the owners, but I’m not lying when I say that the food was delicious. I had the salmon, and it was perfectly cooked not dry, or burnt, or anything negative. It was simply delicious. Next time I go back, because I will, I am going to have to try the Cóctel de camarón.“
“Andrew was our server and let me just tell you, he was absolutely amazing.. Take any food recommendations to heart he won’t lead to a stray.. He is very attentive and makes sure you have Everything you need … I definitely recommend if you Ever come to Aspen Creek off Bandera Road I highly recommend you ask for Andrew to be ur server… The food was a amazing the manager Alexis was truly sweet, but I hate to say Andrew was the BEST…“
“I've been to this place 3 times, and every experience has been terrific. Its scenery and presentation of old times has good craftsmanship. The ceiling with twinkling stars and a well seasoned medium-rare steak goes hand and hand for a country boy like myself. I don't usually eat beans, but just one spoonful left me not sparing anything on my plate. The waiters had no issues catering to my low carbs sides demands. Thank you Mamacita's for a great experience. My tummy salutes you. ?“
“Lots of local texas beers! Texas icehouse vibe with a lot of shaded picnic benches to sit at. Some inside AC'd seating is also available, but I'd suggest the outdoor just for the vibe. Grab a taco next door and sit back and enjoy the Texas summer!UPDATE: still digging the vibe along with the beer selection.“
“This hidden gem is outstanding. I went for the first time Monday night. There is not a single complaint I can think of, all of the employees are welcoming and friendly. The food is delicious and always fresh. I would highly recommend eating here :)“
“Wow. Long week of fun work in San Antonio. I told myself I was gonna find some Pozole Verde. Much to my surprise and despite being 2 hours from Mexico... there is mainly Tex Mex in SA and actual Mexican food is kind of challenging. Zero pozole downtown SA. Mind blown. I Googled, and Googled... one place kept coming up on Reddit and everywhere I looked: Guajillo's. I had my Uber drop me off en route to the airport. Best meal I had all week. Hands down. Met the owner and she said it has been going STRONG for 24 years! She said on Sunday's they have to lock the doors because enough people to fill the restaurant arrive early every Sunday and it is chaos. I was the only non Mexican or Mexican American in the building. It was everything I dreamed of. Highly recommended if you swing through San Antonio. Wowowow!“
“Such a true gem of a restaurant, that probably does not get the recognition and patronage of the locals due to its being part of the Hill Country Resort. My wife and I have been coming here since 1991 and I commend you all for maintaining your high standards in everything you do, from the food to the service, to the décor, all first rate, top notch through the years. Looking forward to stopping by in December for my wife's birthday!Edit: Just now getting the time to write a follow-up review. Had a wonderful time and another great experience at Antler's Lodge in December 2023. Looking forward to a return visit in April this year when I am home once again in Texas.“
“Wonderful location, great service. A bit of a wait but that's everywhere, specially places so good like this.Parking: Spacious parking lot! first come first serve!Kid-friendliness: Family or place, so many children around and back yard available also for seating with a nice viewWheelchair accessibility: Flat pavement for wheelchair!“
“Native SA resident's fav eatery. We ate there Thursday and I ordered take out Friday. Experience was outstanding. I have had eye on MK for 15 years. Always considered eating fried hot dogs, a recommend item. Beautiful decor. Several eateries have very similar layout, heavy wooden stained furniture, etc. We had lunch specials. Fish combo platter comes with fried fish, fries, onion rings, fried shrimp, Texas toast, and salad. Lot of food with an exceptionally attentive waitress. CFSteak had fries, salad, choice of bread. Generous portion of meat. Totally impressed. Takeout matched quality and quantity according to recipient. Am impressed and overwhelmed. Great service when I questioned receptionist over phone.“
“Ruby’s is amazingly good Indian food!!! What a gem!! We had gone for a walk around OP Schnabel Park, and thought we would give Ruby’s a try, and we are so glad we did. Everything was delicious! We made our order to go and everything was well packaged. The portion sizes were generous and the prices were totally reasonable. They are also super friendly and more than happy to help if you have any questions. We will definitely be regulars.Vegetarian options: Indian food is a great option for vegetarians, so much to choose from.“
“Great evening at Umberto's celebrating my son's birthday! After a rough start to the evening with a big let down by another Italian restaurant up the road, we ended up at Umberto's for the first time. Lovely staff and awesome food! Great service from Leo!!“
“Many places specialize in a specific cuisine, with other options. Mexican place may have a hamburger or chicken fingers. Hamburger place may have a fish sandwich. Chinese place may offer a hamburger, chicken fingers, or enchiladas as an alternative option. Well this seafood place is no different. However they are the exception to the rule. They specialize in everything on their menu! My wife and I have tried most everything on the menu without disappointment. We are plenty picky and we sometimes request “can you please (fill in the blank)”…The only thing you hear back is “sure, no problem, anything else I can do for you, or get you” This place is outstanding. Every cent you spend is 100% worth it. From the prices to the generous tip you should leave. Hopefully this place never goes away cause someone else will come in with their stupid ideas and ruin it.Parking: 50-70 spots comfortably.Wheelchair accessibility: Flat surface. No ramp needed“
“i had such a great time for my first time, very welcoming environment and everyone was super sweet .Carlos was such an amazing server. best first time experience. definitely will recommend to my friends and will for sure be coming back, the food was delicious.“
“This place was great. If you want a good steak, this is the place to go. I got the 10 oz with asparagus. Both seasoned very well and very tasty. Cooked perfectly. Our waitress was fast and friendly.Vegetarian options: Not much for vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: Not much for dietary restrictionsParking: Lots of parkingKid-friendliness: Somewhat kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Fully wheelchair accessible“
“So went here because my husband LOVES seafood! And we have been married for 27 yrs (lots of sacrificing on both parts) but Ashley that took our order was very helpful and informative...you MUST try diablo crab cakes! Take it from someone that doesn't like crab cakes...they were AMAZING! Ashley made a great suggestion...try their homemade Key Lime Pie...again...AMAZING!! Top that off with their homemade Sangria and the best strawberry margarita....dinner was....you guessed it ..AMAZING!!!“
“We went there for crab and definitely got crab! We waited for 30 min being that it was 5 pm on Saturday night. We got a margarita flight and all of them were tasty, but a little pricey. You got 4 small mason jars for $20 ish dollars. My friend and I split a boil. I liked that you could choose the seasoning and heat. We got calamari for an app, it was alright kinda chewy, but the sauce it came with was fire! My boyfriend got the redfish and he said it was super dry and the rice and veggies it came with were bland. Our boil was great we got crab, sausage, shrimp, potato, and corn. I loved the flavor. They took a bit to bring us bibs and gloves and once they did we dug in but they were out of crab crackers. They said they’d bring them when some were clean, but never did. So we used our forks (might have gotten bent them by the time we were done but oh well) our bill was $144. I might go back if I’m feeling a crab boil, but otherwise meh.“
“I wanted to give this 5 stars so badly but I couldn’t, I’ll explain why:Pros:Good locationAmple parkingCozy sittingDifferent menu optionsMain entree tasted good (pizzaoila dish)Clean restroomsCons:Soup was luke warm, cold after a few sips(cheese tortillini)Only 8 tables (had to make reservation for a weekday afternoon)Pricey- $53 for me and my wife (was charged regular price drink for my 2 year old daughter)Salad was overly drenched in ranchMale server appeared rude to other clientsIt was a decent experience, but not worth the price IMO, I support locals businesses but changes could be made“
“Had amazing birthday today and going there was blast..and the server/waiter John was amazing especially when offering a drink remediation called the strawberry daiquiri for a first time drink... Definitely have to go back again if I'm ever in town visiting form corpus Christi and definitely top of my list of steak houses☺☺☺☺☺ “
“1st Time Here. The inside of this restaurant was very beautiful and very clean . I ordered the Mole Plate. Did not know how this was going to turn out?? Wow I was Totally Shocked look at the plate that was almost Flawless. But what I did not like were the Beans and I love beans but these beans were tasteless. Maybe I should’ve of ordered a Side order of Charro Beans. If the the beans on the mole plate would have been delicious, then this plate would’ve been a Delicious flawless Plate. Because the chicken was soft and delicious, The mole sauce was delicious. The rice was delicious. The salad was fresh and delicious. But the Tortillas were not Good?I will definitely BE BACK ?“
“I went here two weeks ago because of a social media post about this being the best and cheapest Mexican spot in San Antonio. Well, the food is great, and this is our second time here in 3 weeks. Would probably go once a week if it wasn't so far ?. It has some of the most tender beef fajitas I've had at a Mexican restaurant. We had the Molcajete and chicken quesadillas. I added an extra sausage because it is soo good. Anyway prices are very fair and food is great. Service is OK, and maybe that is why it is not as busy as it could be. Went through drive thru this time and could not be happier. If you are on this side or passing through, you definitely gotta give it a try.“
