I’m always worried about ordering lattes with sweetener bc they can be so overly sweet, but the miso brown butter latte with oat milk was perfectly balanced. It had a hint of sweet without sweetness being The Flavor of the drink.

It was good but the biscuit was burnt on the bottom which you could taste and made it a little harder to bite into. It was also smaller than I thought it would be for the price. There was only one employee, which I imagine must be difficult at busy times. They might’ve been having a bad day on the morning I stopped by. I appreciated the extra fans near the sitting area.“

arrived at maybe 10:15AM on a Tuesday, so there was no wait at all. i know this place gets crazy busy on the weekends though! coming on a weekday was great— no line at all, not too loud either.

we had a very sweet server who we chatted up a bit! the food itself came out at a reasonable time. my boyfriend got the steak and eggs, which, while he enjoyed, thought was a bit much in terms of amount on his plate. which may be a positive to some people! he just wasn’t hungry enough for it all. i got the rise and shine sammy which i thought was delicious! i was surprised at how much ham they managed to fit into that sandwich. the potatoes on both of our meals were pleasantly crunchy!

i was able to ask for a birthday dessert for my boyfriend too, with the options being coconut cheesecake and banana pudding. i got him the banana pudding and he really liked it!

overall, i had a great time! the food itself was very tasty and reasonably priced. excellent atmosphere. will definitely be coming back!“

“Whenever I go to Idlewild it’s usually when Eden is working! She is an excellent barista and very attentive. When I wasn’t sure what to get, she asked me about my coffee preferences and listed off suggestions for me. Since then, I’ve tried one of every of her suggestions and they’ve all been wonderful. It’s the kind of place I love being a regular because of the people! Eden deserves to be recognized as one of Idlewild’s best.“

I have been hooked ever since...Every time I am in Austin, I make it a point to stop by for the Chai and their Sabudana Vada. I have tried most of the menu and everything has been awesome. Abhijeet is always welcoming and has created a special spot. Keep it up 👍“

“Great coffee shop for a walk around Town Lake. Service and staff are awesome. They actually care about their coffee quality. Quick story… I ordered an espresso to drink there in a glass, and they really took the time to dial it in before handing it to me. It was the first straight espresso of the morning and they used a specialty bean. I believe it took them 5 shots dialing in the grind before they were happy with the quality enough to hand it to me. I really appreciated that. I feel like it would have been tempting to just give me the 2nd one and hope I didn’t know the difference. But they really showed they cared and gave me a great espresso to start my day!“

“This was my first time visiting Desnudo and I can definitely see why people love it.

I wasn’t sure what to order so I asked for a recommendation. The sweet lady at the front suggested the Guava Matcha and since I wanted something refreshing, it ended up being exactly what I was looking for. I tasted the matcha but also the guava and was a great combination. For me one of the best matcha drinks I’ve had in a while.

The space is cute, with outdoor seating if you want to hang out for a bit (they play really good music). Service was quick and I also loved that they sell bags of coffee to take home. There’s even a lovely plant shop right across the way, which makes the whole area feel even more nice.The only thing to keep in mind is that parking can be a bit of a hassle, so be prepared for that.

This feels like one of those coffee spots you can keep coming back to whenever you’re craving coffee or matcha. I’ll definitely be back!“
