“I’ve been to this coffee shop three times now, and every visit has been a wonderful experience. I suffered a traumatic brain injury, which left me with some speech difficulties, but the staff have always been incredibly patient, kind, and understanding. They never make me feel rushed and are always so friendly and helpful. On top of that, the coffee is absolutely delicious. I’m truly grateful for the kindness they’ve shown me, and I highly recommend this place.“

“I love me a good/amazing donut spot! Del Vale Donuts have been an amazing “Go-To” spot for me and my family! The service is great the staff is awesome and those Kolaches! OUT OF THIS WORLD!! My Personal Fave is the bacon egg and cheese on a croissant!!! MUST TRY!“

“INCREDIBLE. The baristas are ACTUALLY knowledgeable about coffee. It’s a true coffee spot with attentively to origin, roast, extraction.

I’m always worried about ordering lattes with sweetener bc they can be so overly sweet, but the miso brown butter latte with oat milk was perfectly balanced. It had a hint of sweet without sweetness being The Flavor of the drink.

“This is my second year working with Creature Coffee for my nonprofit's event and they are the most lovely, generous and kind people ever! Not to mention, their coffees are stellar. I'm still dreaming about the iced banana latte on their seasonal menu. They are simply easy to communicate with and the staff that shows up on the day of are so down to earth and professional. Thank you Creature Coffee!! We love them and will be using them for every pop up coffee bar needs.“

“Yea, this is the best coffee I’ve had in Austin.

Delicious flavored lattes. So well balanced. I seldom order “normal sweet” lattes (normally go half) but it’s perfect. Service is great and the ambience is cute. Selfishly I wish the wait was shorter (usually 10ish min) but I’m happy to wait every time because it is truly that good.

I don’t feel like I can’t give it a true coffee review as I’ve only had their flavored lattes but they’re so good it would feel like a waste of time to order anything else.“

“I got the mound latte that had coconut and mocha, and it was pretty good. Also got the peaches and cream biscuit. It was good but the biscuit was burnt on the bottom which you could taste and made it a little harder to bite into. It was also smaller than I thought it would be for the price. There was only one employee, which I imagine must be difficult at busy times. They might’ve been having a bad day on the morning I stopped by. I appreciated the extra fans near the sitting area.“

“Went for the first time on a Friday morning. Definitely won’t be the last time. The migas in green sauce had a great flavor, flour tortillas were fresh, my friends’ huevos rancheros were on point. “Whenever I go to Idlewild it’s usually when Eden is working! She is an excellent barista and very attentive. When I wasn’t sure what to get, she asked me about my coffee preferences and listed off suggestions for me. Since then, I’ve tried one of every of her suggestions and they’ve all been wonderful. It’s the kind of place I love being a regular because of the people! Eden deserves to be recognized as one of Idlewild’s best.“

Skip the flavors, milks and syrups (although I’m sure they are great); and take the staff suggestion from the small but expertly curated menu of delicious coffees.
I know, it’s not cheap, but you’re worth it! Plus, anything of similar caliber would be double at some of Austin’s best coffee shops.

“I accidentally stumbled upon Samay Chai on one of my trips to Austin and tried their Orange Pistachio Chai. I have been hooked ever since...Every time I am in Austin, I make it a point to stop by for the Chai and their Sabudana Vada. I have tried most of the menu and everything has been awesome. “I was searching for hot coffee near me and Even Keel, thankfully, showed up right by me. I walked in looking for a hot coffee and Evan explained to me that they were a cold brew coffee spot. Evan took the time to explain his process to me and let me try his cold brew before deciding. I need to add my voice to the choir here and say this cold brew is amazing. You can really tell this is Evan's passion and it comes through in the cup. I am pretty bad about leaving reviews but sometimes a place is so good I have to rave about it. Believe the perfect rating, it's phenomenal!“

“Great coffee drinks. The espresso ratio for each size is spot on, and the iced drinks are shaken so all the flavor is mixed up, not sitting at the bottom like everywhere else. “One of the best caffe con leche (lattes) in Austin right now. I cant believe we haven’t been here sooner. Cuttest place with a very lush vibe. You can go for coffee or a drink. Lunch starts at 11 am. The service was excellent and we had delicious picadillo pastelitos. I was expecting the typical batido de mamey, tostada de mantequilla, croquetas de jamon, pastelitos de guayaba and cuban sandwich menu; reminiscent of cortadito in MIA but instead we found an elevated version of the typical cuban classics and loved it.“
