“Got a chance to try Beaux Southern Seafood and it was a delicious trip down South. The fried catfish plate came out golden and flaky, and their jumbo shrimp po’boy with remoulade sauce was perfectly balanced. Also dug into their shrimp & grits — creamy, comforting, and full of flavor.

The setting is cozy and unpretentious, which works well for this style of food. Staff were welcoming and quick to answer menu questions (especially about spice levels and daily catches). A great spot for southern seafood done right.“

The beans had the best seasoning, the cheese was perfection, and the avocadoes were at the peak of freshness! The serving size was very generous too! The owner is incredibly sweet, too! I am thrilled to have discovered this food truck and definitely plan to return!“

“I was sent for work here in Austin from the Waco area and found this gem. Since I'm on a restrictive diet, I googled and found Hippy Eats! I have never had a falafel before but was not disappointed. Jason was nice and easy to talk to and went above and beyond in every aspect of the experience. He even enhanced my falafel with extras (we'll call it a secret menu item for now). The smell of the food from the ride back to work was delicious and the taste was great as well. Thank you Jason for the Austin falafel experience!“

“We made a special trip from the DFW to visit the #1 and #2 spots. We waited in line at both locations, we arrived at L&L at 11am and sat down with our food at 12:30. Leroy and Lewis is hands down better than TM’s #1 spot. Their brisket was moist and very flavorful with a really good bark. We had their Barbacoa as our other meat option which had it own good flavor. Our side were the Frito pie and chiro-taters, both were good. We’ll definitely be back at some point to tryout more of the menu.“

“Incredible, healthy food! The quality was so good and menu included items like organic pork sausage, sugar free bacon, sweet potato cassava waffles, ceremonial matcha and more. Highly recommend for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. If you’re looking for gluten-free (celiac safe), dairy-free, no seed oils, grain-free options, soy-free, refined sugar free, etc, but still want something delicious, this is it! They use avocado oil and ghee. I loved the sweet potato waffle sandwich. The beef curry tacos were amazing too.

“I love Saigon so much. I think about it all the time and crave it (especially the bahn mi) which is unfortunate bc my boyfriend lives so close. They have a full coconut on the menu which is fun and delicious. One time they did torch my meat on my vermicelli noodles bc it was fun and we were the only ones in there, but it kinda ended up tasting like butan. I still loved it. That’s how much I love it lol. The host and service ppl are always very nice as well! Curry ramen is a MUST - haven’t tried the pho though. Def the best bahn mi I’ve had in Austin. I never leave reviews but for the amount of space they take up in my brain they deserve it!“

“Just tried Song La for the first time today. Shirley was so incredibly friendly and the food was fantastic. I spent 3 months in Taiwan before moving to Austin and was craving some Taiwanese fried chicken and this hit the spot. Plus, everything is made to order and comes out super fresh (that said, don't come in a rush, make sure you've got a little time to enjoy their new spot at The Thicket and hang for a bit). “Just set up and cooking at this location. You may remember it from the backside of Sam's Town Point. Hankering for a fried chicken sandwich this popped up nearby on my search. Pleasantly surprised with a great sandwich, tots, and threw in a taco and I'm completely stuffed. I'd say it's text Mex - heavy on the Tex. Which is exactly what I was looking for! I've now visited twice. I really enjoyed the seasoned thick cut square fries. The burger is great, with all the standards. No additional special flavoring. Just a larger smash style patty.
Second go around I learned their signature sauce is mustard based. Personally, I'm not a mustard fan so I skipped this option. I found it to have a bit of that sharp overpowering mustard flavor. I'd rather taste the meat and complimentary flavors. The veggies are decent and the bun is good. Pretty solid burger. My favorite for reference Is the Culver's style smash style butter burger. I like that little bit of near burned butter flavor in the meat this burger lacks. Still a great choice. Especially if you want to do a quick pitch and putt round at Butler. Just on the other side of Auditorium Shores off of Lamar. Note: Drinks are at the pro shop, might want to bring your own as choices are somewhat limited.“

Their corn tortillas were fantastic! Both red and green sauce were delicious, but something about the red sauce makes it my favorite of the two. I think it's the chili they use.I ate the first 3 tacos and the tripas were so good that I had to get 2 more. I don't normally eat 5 tacos during a single sitting, but here we are.Excellent taco truck and I'll definitely be going back!Edit: I've been back a few times, the last being just a few minutes ago. It was perfectly seasoned and packed with authentic Mediterranean flavor. You can tell he genuinely cares about the food and the people he serves. This is hands-down some of the best Mediterranean food in the city, and it easily stands out from the rest.
