“This is a hidden gem in McDade with live music on Saturdays! I went to celebrate a close friend’s birthday on a beautiful spring day. The watermelon wine doesn’t have any business being THAT GOOD. Basic food but pretty good, the pretzel was really good! I’d totally come back here! There was also a cute doggie.”

It's attached to a gas station. ⛽ Before you clutch your pearls and drive on by... DON'T. Some of the best food comes from places your GPS forgot to brag about. The menu is HUGE, and they even had a daily special posted. Our table tackled: 🍔 Tortilla Burger (whatever the official name is... I'd order it again!) 🥪 Philly Cheesesteak & Fries 🦐 Shrimp Po' Boy 🍝 Orleans Pasta 🧀 Fried Mac & Cheese Balls Everything came out hot, fresh, and in portions big enough to make tomorrow's lunch jealous. Now... let's talk onion rings. LORT. 😍 Hand-breaded. Golden. Crunchy. And about the size of a toddler's bracelet. Order them. Just trust me. The shrimp on the Po' Boy? Big, juicy, perfectly cooked, and definitely hand-breaded—not those little frozen shrimp trying to fool anybody. A few more reasons we'll be back: 🥞 Breakfast served ALL DAY. 🍺 BYOB. 🎤 Karaoke nights (check the sign inside for dates). 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Plenty of room for large groups. Get it with extra sour cream & fresh jalepenos 😉 🌟 Beef Fajitas Cremosas (Entrée) – Get them with EXTRA sun-dried tomatoes. Oh. My. God. I have never had anything like this in my life, and it’s something I crave several times a week. 🌟 Stuffed Jalapeños – So good I sometimes order them as my entire meal. And the onion rings they’re served on? Easily the best onion rings I’ve ever had anywhere. I love ordering a big plate of onion rings with extra ranch. 🏆 🌟 Cheese enchiladas!!!! They have the best Mexican rice & refried beans that I’ve ever tasted. Beyond the food, the staff is absolutely amazing. From the moment you walk in, they make you feel like family — warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy you’re there. That kind of service is rare, and it’s one of the many reasons this place is so special to us. They are family owned and operated! And yes — I always forget to take pictures of my food because I eat it before I remember to take photos for a review 😂. That should tell you everything you need to know about how good it is. We are incredibly thankful for Las Cocinas. It’s not just our favorite Mexican restaurant — it’s our favorite restaurant, period, and the best in the entire area by a mile. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Perfect in every way.”

“After being clients of Roccos for almost 4 years, last night we had a really bad experience with the owner “male”. I was 5 minutes late to pick up my order after closing time and he told me in a unfriendly tone “I put your order in the garbage” with his back turned and locking the door he said nothing else. He could’ve handled this another way, to me that was very unprofessional and I felt discriminated for being hispanic. Ourselves and other friends won’t be going back to this business.”

“If you want a smile on your face in the mornings or any other time, go eat at her trailer. Clean place and the best darn Big tacos too, not skimpy like a lot of the other trailers . 1441 and Green Valley on the corner. We’ve eaten there many times, she also makes tortillas .”
