“Me and my husband decided to try this place out. I wasn’t really in the mood for BBQ and we’re pretty TX when it comes to being picky on our brisket. So glad we came. The food was amazing!! Homemade everything and a good size portion for the price. Well done 👏“

“Had early Christmas with my kids and grandkids. Ordered a meal from Mesquite BBQ so I could enjoy the family instead of spending all my time in the kitchen. The food was incredible! A complete hit with my son-n-law, who loved it the most. Thanks for making our Christmas so tasty.“

“For the most part, these guys do a good job. It’s a pretty awesome experience to stand in line and bathe in that pecan smoke that Bellows out of that tiny little building. I wish they would take cards as a form of payment. It is very inconvenient, as a lot of people don’t readily carry cash. So it’s a true
effort to go and support them.“

“We tried out this little gem today and were absolutely not disappointed. They were celebrating their 7th anniversary with a buffet, which meant we got to sample a little bit of everything—and every single bite was delicious. My favorite by far was the brisket lasagna. Hands down the best lasagna I’ve ever had, and it’s only served on Friday nights. If you love BBQ, skip the big-name spots and make the trip to downtown Wylie instead. Bold BBQ Pit will not disappoint.“

“We ordered a variety of the items because we were having trouble deciding what sounded best.

Ordering was fairly easy thru the True Texas BBQ app to pickup in the drive-thru. The order was ready on-time & brought out curbside to avoid having to wait in the line. 😏 super sweet worker on the drive thru speaker & brought out to my car (not sure if the same person)

Everything was still hot even after driving back home to Rowlett after pickup.

The portions were decent overall but especially good on the Loaded Brisket Chili dippers. HEB’s queso blanco is TOP TIER! I’ll make sure it’s on my regular shopping list going forward. 😋

The Texas-sized Pulled Pork sandwich was hefty & packed with flavor. Our kiddo loved the pickles and insists we will only be buying HEB pickles from now on. 😆

Brisket Birria Ramen should be a regular menu item versus limited time. I’ll be sad when it’s gone. So good, flavorful, a little kick of spice, and filling for the two of us that ate it. (We were a little skeptical/worried it would be a lot smaller but pleased with the container size)

Finally, we got the 2-meat plate with chopped brisket & poblano queso sausage. The sausage was 🔥🔥🔥 - Highly Recommend that!!

The sides we chose for the 2-meat plate were the potato salad & coleslaw. Potato salad was very tasty & the coleslaw was different but still delightfully good. I look forward to trying the other sides for future visits.

I wouldn’t say the brisket is the best I’ve ever had, however, it is very flavorful & did not disappoint. It tastes great in the brisket chili. And I would like to try it unsauced in the future to get a more “accurate” feel on how I really feel about it. I’m very picky about bbq sauces if/when I decide to use it so the brisket being sauced may be hindering my thoughts a little there.

The variety of choices we made cost less than a family pack & easily fed a family of 4 getting to try multiple menu offerings. Will definitely have again.“

“Save your money, this is the worst tasting barbeque I have ever experienced. Two people dinner and drinks 42.00. Their barbeque is tasteless. stick to your locals, they know how to do BBQ right. Never again will I spend a dime in a chain restaurant. To make matters worse, the employees were like robots, cold and unfriendly until you got to the cashier who was delighted to take your money. This review is for the newly established restaurant in Mabank, Tx. They wont last.“

The food is about the same good BBQ but what makes this one better then the rest is the people that work at this location .I have eaten at most of the Spring Creek but pass one up to come to this one. “The wife and I tried there brisket and ribs this evening and it was really good and I definently recommend you try them if you enjoy delicious smoked food and grab a fried pie while your there. No more soulmans for us because Baker's is definently not stingy with there meat . priced better and tastier food . Staff was extremely friendly as well.“

“Love the food and atmosphere i reserved every time … the employees are excellent and the cleanliness of the place is great. But they one thing I dislike about this recent visit was the new big roll of napkins set on the table, they take most of the space on the table and I feel like the hygiene on this is bad , a lot of people touch them and they get dirty I prefer the small napkins,they were more convenient and less messy. Also the roll ones are so rough. Other then that is a very good place to eat 🫶🏻“
