“The best food in town. We were there with our team and we ordered almost everything from the menu and loved everything we ate. Their speciality is more about beef, pork and fish and they are perfect at it . Their menu keeps changing and chicken options are not available . Servers were gentle, kind and helped in choosing. I highly recommend this place.“

“Absolutely stunning experience at J Carver this week. Was greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne while waiting for our table to be ready. The drinks and wine were served well and the wine was correct temp. Had the bone marrow with toast app, very rich but well seasoned and cooked. Dinner we shared the bone in filet, which was one of best steaks I've had in the country. Recommend greatly.“

“Perfect date night! Fancy drinks, delicious small plates (more like "medium" plates), and my favorite dessert: sourdough ice cream with tomato charcoal. Sounds weird, but it's sweet, unique, and to die for! Service is excellent too, many people take care of your table.“

“4/1/24We dined at around 7:30 P.M., and we enjoyed some very interesting food! Our waiter was very nice and informative. We got a bit intrigued by the salmon egg mayonnaise appetizer, so we ordered it. Although it was 'interesting' to see and try...we had no idea that it was prepared with salmon eggs on top of the devil egged concoction. The burst of salmon egg with the somewhat boiled egg...was not a favorable appetizer. We would NEVER suggest it. 1/10 (the one rating comes from the good mayo)The fish meal on the menu was REALLY GOOD! The buttery sauce that is generously given on the plate the pan-seared fish was placed on top of really made this meal exceptional. The preparation of it was great. I wish there were more food on the plate, though (or that a good bread accompanied it). 10/10 RATING!My dinner friend ordered the pork chops with the cabbage slice. I would rate that pretty low, though. The cabbage slice was grilled, and some of it was grilled too much to enjoy. You MUST TRY THE BEET SALAD!!!! IT IS SOOOO DELICIOUS!!! 10/10 RATING!!The cheese board for a dessert was great, too... The cheese selected and the jelly was delectable. The tea that is used tastes really good. The ART WORK in the restaurant is pretty and joyful to see! Our waiter allowed us to look at the book that was prepared on each artist that has art exhibited in the restaurant. You would enjoy reading about them IF you have the time.“

“Perfectly prepared Seafood, comfortable but elegant ambiance, and a great location. A nice high end but low-key spot right near the iconic Austin music spot, Antone’s.The kind crab was perfectly cooked. The braised greens had the subtlest kiss of Serrano pepper. It is seafood with a whisper of the south. The chef is James Beard award winning MASHAMA BAILEY of Savanah, so that makes a lot of sense. The vibe was relaxed but high-end.They bill this as a southern spot. I think it is more a seafood place with a whisper of the South (not to be confused with “Texan cuisine” a cousin but something entirely its own thing.)The restroom is hard to find - it is in the hotel lobby but they do not have good signage. It is buried in the back of a second elevator bank area. They have a neon sign in a different spot announcing that it is NOT the restroom - but nothing of its equal to show you where you should go / where it is.They set up shop diagonally across from Eddie V’s (seafood and chop house) which has been there for decades.Vegetarian options: This was the one area of real opportunity: there were very few options for a vegetarian / vegansDietary restrictions: Greedy for keto and gluten allergy folks!Parking: No garage. No street parking $15 for first 3 hours of valet.Kid-friendliness: Not a kid spot.Wheelchair accessibility: Very wheelchair accessible throughout“

“We were blown away by this place! Service was outstanding, but the food was next level. We ordered the salad, shishito peppers and nuts for an appetizer and then came the smash burgers. Everything was so good! We finished our meal with the best carrot cake any of us have ever had. We’re already planning our next visit. Highly recommended!“

“Grab & Go smoothies + Yoga Studio! This kind of place aligns itself to be "too upscale" or uptight with its offerings and location. It wasn't and instead we were greeted with super helpful and kind staff (plus a great grab and go Overnight Oats). For a health spot on the go, The Well was quite nice.“

“We were debating leaving the hotel for dinner. I'm so glad we didn't because the food here is amazing. I'm so thankful they were gracious enough to accommodate us arriving near closing time. As a whiskey gal, the Summertime Old Fashioned was made very well. I loved the Blue Crab & Artichoke Dip. Very flavorful. The Chile-Glazed Organic Chicken was delicious. I'd love to know how they perfected the crisp. ? And the Gulf Shrimp and Grits was very tasty. I loved their spin on it with the charred corn and it was very rich. I'll definitely be back!“

“I am still having dreams about our incredible dinner at Olamaie! We enjoyed our meal at the bar and received the most exceptional service from their team. We followed all their recommendations for their favorite dishes and each one was such a well-crafted and gorgeous presentation of Southern farm to table. It almost feels like you're having a dinner party in someone's beautiful home because the ambiance is so warm, welcoming, and cozy. This needs to be at the top of your list for future date nights in Austin!“

“Milo and Fatih were our servers and they were wonderful! Ask for them. The food was marvelous - street corn ribs and tuna appetizers, mom had the sea bass which was divine and I had the steak salad - also wonderful. Great flavors and texture. I like how they redecorated the restaurant. Great place on the lake. Oh and the berry cobbler was so good! Great decaf espresso (yay decaf.) Thank you for a great night out!“

“We had a lovely dinner at Arlo Grey. The food was outstanding! We had the crispy rice, rabbit dumplings, and halibut and all were so delicious! We were celebrating my husband's birthday and were seated at a beautiful table with a nice card for him! Would definitely recommend a visit!“

“Came here to say with colleagues to celebrate a birthday while on a work trip. Incredible service from all the staff but in particular our waiter. Great recommendations on menu items and wine pairings. Be prepared that they ask you order all food at once and then they close it out for you. The wood fired flavor on the food from their special oven was extra noticeable and added to the ambiance. 10/10 recommend if in downtown Austin.“

“I was on my way out of Austin when I had just the right amount of time to indulge on a breakfast. Boy was my belly happy to leave Texas with this as my last meal. I ordered the fried chicken with the biscuit and the biscuit was so perfectly done. The chicken crispy (and felt like more skin than meat but as a whole it was still good) and although it didn't come with it, I dipped mine in the hot sauce that the empeñada came with and it was delicious. The empeñada was yummy and the deep fried hash brown muffin concoction is pretty epic. Our server was 10/10 loved her energy and recommendations. She was all the things we need in the service industry and grateful we had her! All in all, if I'm back in Austin, I'd definitely make a pit stop here again!“

“As an avid fan of delicious food, it's hard not try these extravaganza of flavor options. Also they're open late and quality is always high. The visits I made were during SXSW at the busiest peaks and they still brought fantastic service. I don't think there's much anyone could do in that atmosphere of waves of customers... It's just very very busy. Get in, get on it, get out full.“

“We decided to stop here to do some sort of activity on our vacation and it quickly became the highlight or our trip. We booked ahead of time and got a nice room that we shared with one other group, it was the perfect mix between going out but not being overwhelmed by the crowds. The drinks were amazing, the food was tasty and great for sharing. We were pleasantly surprised by the replays and pictures that we received while we were playing. Countless memories were made that day, I couldn’t recommend going to this place more, 10/10 experience!“

“This place is cute. I definitely thought it would be more modern inside, but it's actually kinda a retro vibe (eg when I went there were a solid handful of older folks/retirees getting lunch). I didn't even remember it was here until I was looking for a lunch place in south Austin and saw it on the map. The food is good, it didn't absolutely blow my mind but I definitely enjoyed it! I had the cottage pie (kind of like shepherd's pie) for $18 and my mom had the strawberry salad for $14 which was fresh and good as well. The portion sizes were reasonable; my mom's salad was large and my shepherd's pie was smaller but dense. I left feeling fairly "neutral" (was VERY hungry beforehand). Our server and the hostess were very sweet and attentive as well. Overall I was hoping to get brunch here but they only serve brunch from 8-11 on weekdays and 8-2 on weekends - I came on Tuesday at noon. But despite the fact that I got lunch instead of brunch, I was satisfied. Will come back some time to try brunch!“

“I came back for dinner haha. And wow chefs kiss for everything. Service, food and vibes were all stellar! Me and my bf shared the mussels, pork belly and truffle fries and we honestly can't stop thinking about it. We also shared a bottle of wine that I felt wasn't outrageously priced. I wish I got pictures but we got caught up in the moment. Would def recommend for a dinner date“

“What an amazing dinner! We went with a group and were so impressed. The staff was so professional and the service was great, and getting to watch the open kitchen was a bonus! Now for the food: everyone throughly enjoyed their meals! We started with wines from their extensive wine list. Appetizers were the Gruyère popovers (so light and eggy) served with onion butter, and their steak tartare (so well balanced!). I got the pork shoulder with collards that was so savory, with so much brightness added with a beurre blanc and grapefruit slices. If I'm ever back in Austin, I'd want to visit again!“
“I always enjoying eating at Ranch Hand! Their menu is fairly condensed, but they have great options. Their organic bowls are made with locally sourced ingredients and everything tastes so fresh. I always add a fried egg on top and it never disappoints. Very cozy and cool atmosphere with a coffee/pastry shop located right next to it.“

“Absolutely the best new place to eat in Austin. The food is absolutely delicious, unique and ever changing. I've been for dinner three times and brunch once. Never had anything bad. Also the price point is pretty great for such high quality food. Parking situation is terrible but that's everywhere in Austin. This is my go-to place to bring friends!I've had Dre as my server twice, he is hilarious, incredibly great at anticipating needs and his recs were fantastic. Ask for his section if you can!“

“The New York Strip was the best I've ever had. The biscuits with honey on the HH menu were delightful. The HH specials were not only incredibly affordable, but of quality. The ambience was stunning as well but the reason I'm writing this review is because of the customer service I received from Adam and Delena. These two went out of their way to make sure that we were all taken care of, and not only in a professional manner, but by being kind and investing in each one of their customers personally. I will never forget the experience I had at Stella and I will tell everyone. Thank you.“

“Alex was our server and absolutely phenomenal! We had this restaurant recommended by our Airbnb host and she was totally spot on. We sat outside and while it was windy it was still very comfortable. The restaurant itself has a clean, modern feel and while it was busy, it didn't feel rushed. I love that they are so conscious about their sourcing and getting local products - we loved every dish we got! We started with a beet salad, poplar mushrooms, and the roasted cabbage, all of which were great - but the roasted cabbage was an especially unique and delicious dish! We then moved on to the housemade sourdough bread which came with 3 different types of butter. For 4 people, we ended up requesting an additional serving of bread which was an upcharge but very needed! We then moved on to the pappardelle and rigatoni for our pasta course - the pappardelle had a delicious ragu and the rigatoni was a more classic tomato sauce. Both done beautifully and with great flavor and sauce to pasta ratio. For the main courses, we had the chicken with soccoro sauce and the wagyu - our only complaint was that we had the chicken after the wagyu, which was truly unfair to the chicken! The wagyu was probably one of the best things I've ever had - so tender and beautifully cooked with a delicious chimmichurri! After all of that, of course we had to have dessert and ended up accidentally getting the sorbet in addition to the other 3 desserts - though it ended up being our favorite dessert of the night. It has a lovely cream/foam on top that made it beyond delicious. Overall, this is a can't miss!“

“First off, I want to say that Apt 115 is a super interesting concept, the staff is very friendly, and the service is top tier. Easily 10/10 service. It also wasn't incredibly expensive for fine dining ($90 after tax and tip). Apt 115 is hosted within a cozy, 1x1 apartment building, where the apartment kitchen is the kitchen they use. There's no backdoor kitchen or anything. There's one chef and he makes everything using everyday cooking appliances like hotplates and microwaves. The theme that day was grapefruit, and almost everything, including the bathroom soap (which smelled really really good) had a hint of grapefruit. We started off with oysters, which were super creamy and very smooth. No fishy flavor at all. Next, we had fatty yellowfin tuna covered in some homemade sauce that made it explode with flavor. There were some crunchy onion crisps on top that added to the texture. Probably one of the best dishes I've had, period. We then had shrimp and some cocktail sauce, which was okay but not anything crazy. Afterwards, we had a duck leg, which was flavorful but a bit tough--I wonder if it could've been steamed for longer. Once we had finished, our server brought out a basket full of bread and a cutting board with three different cheeses on top. Now, I'm not really a cheese person, but these cheeses were so good. The strawberry jam that came with it was practically heaven in a dish. I would've paid for just the jam. The last dish was a grapefruit brûlée. It had a crispy, thin layer of melted sugar coating the top. Underneath was the sweet and citrusy fruitiness of the grapefruit. Very well done. I should note the flowers and most of the decorations were edible and actually tasted pretty interesting. I wish the shrimp and the duck leg were a bit better, and that there were larger portions (I had to eat another meal afterwards to feel full), but overall I'm satisfied with what Apt 115 had to offer. I would definitely recommend this place to someone else, but would know that you probably won't be full after your meal. A very very high 4 stars from me.“

“We came in for the brunch for the first time today. Have been here for dinner but never the brunch. It was our anniversary and we had two awesome servers--Jacob who started us off and Exel who was working the bar and served us as well. They were both friendly, personable and attentive. The food was fantastic--I had the fried chicken biscuit and my husband and I shared the Gem Salad, both really delicious. They were kind enough to bring us the deviled eggs on the house and they are definitely a must. We finished off by splitting a Cinnamon roll-- perfect tender dough and not overly sweet. All in all a really nice experience, and we'll definitely be back again.“

“This restaurant was a slam dunk for me. Our party did the prix fixe menu and left stuffed and satisfied. Dishes ranged from outright amazing to interesting and complex. I enjoyed it all. Service was very friendly and attentive.Cocktails were a highlight. I ordered off menu and they handled the classics excellently. Chilled glasses, properly chosen ice, the whole gambit. Those in our party who stayed on menu were equally impressed. You could just come here for drinks.Parking was easy, valet or pay per hour next door.If you haven't been, you probably should get your butt over there!“

“Loud bustling atmosphere that you would expect from a popular restaurant on a Sat night. The staff is super helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes. Flaky scallion swirls were amazing with the the truffle butter and sweet bean sauce to lather on top. Very flavorful, flaky and super buttery and soft. We also had the Liang Ban BBQ Pig Ear which was spicy and really nice flavor and it numbs your mouth. I could only have a little as I'm not a huge fan of the Mala peppercorns but my husband enjoyed it. Same with the DanDan noodles - strong Mala pepper flavor. The husband said the DanDan Noodles were the best he's ever had so far. For dessert, we had the black sesame soft serve which was delicious. TIP: scoop from the bottom when eating the soft serve or you'll end up with a bunch of tapioca with your last few bites. My favorite was the flaky scallion swirl.“

“Really cool place...nice music and vibe--even a small stage inside and some nice seating outside tarped up for the cold and wet winter. I met my best friend here who was visiting from Florida (she used to live in Austin) and she putme on to this place. “Pricey for sure, but an amazing experience! Worth treating yourself for a special occasion. We came for the winter 2022 tasting menu ($115 per person). It was absolutely mindblowing; every dish was a unique combination of flavors and textures and definitely nothing I've ever had before! The kohlrabi dumpling with mustard cream, smoked trout chips, ceviche, and tres leches cake were my favorites. As for drinks, I loved the sugarland express cocktail ($13). Tasting menus usually aren't filling, but this was actually a generous amount of food and we were satisfied! The space is beautiful and cozy, and we had a lovely time.“

“we came here on Saturday morning before heading back to the airport. So glad we did.Parking lot is a bit small for the size of the restaurant, but we managed. Kitchen staff, other servers, everyone hella chill. It seems like they are all pretty close and that’s dope in the industry.Food was hella good. Fried chicken was bomb. Oysters were nice n creamy. Cheese fries were nice n crispy and not overwhelming with salt.Ambiance was great, IIRC, low music volume, tv next to bar. Outdoor section, and indoor section. There were stairs outside, but unclear if that’s more seating or employee only access. “Geraldine's was fantastic. Went there for Saturday brunch. The restaurant is inside of Hotel Van Zandt near Rainey Street downtown. You know it is fancy when you have to take an elevator to get to it LOL. Exit the elevator and see a great view of the bar and seating area. The hostess was very pleasant. There is live music on Saturdays between 11:30am and 1:00pm. Good music, good drinks and good music. It gets no better than that. I enjoyed a cappuccino while others in my party drank a Bloody Mary and a drink with peanut butter whiskey and banana liquer. Very delicious. The service was a bit slower than I like but was nit bad. Maybe an understaffed issue. I ate a simple meal: eggs any style with bacon and toast. Others ate chicken sandwiches. All were tasty. There are more menu items that I want to try so I must return.“

“Mour Cocina is a cute little neighborhood wine bar in East Riverside. Right when you walk in, there's a market area with tons of different wines available to purchase. The actual restaurant area has a nice vibe with plenty of seating and modern decor. I came here to kill some time between appointments on a Thursday afternoon and I was one of the only customers inside. My server was super friendly and happy to give me plenty of recommendations. I wasn't sure which wine to order, and they were nice enough to not only suggest one but let me taste a bit before pouring me a generous glass. I wasn't super hungry since I was here between lunch and dinner hours, but the happy hour deals were too good to pass up. Happy hour is every day from 4:30-6:30 pm. They mentioned a couple different discounts, including half off all bites and cocktails. I'll definitely have to come back for their "MyMosa", which has half a bottle of sparkling wine! I ended up ordering the Herb Guacamole as a snack, and it was the perfect portion for one or for two to share. The chips were the best part, they were super crispy but strong enough to scoop up the guac. The guacamole itself was seasoned well and had plenty of herbs mixed in. I love that they had pepita seeds on top for a bit of crunch as well. Overall, this isn't the spot for a cheap glass of wine, but it's great for happy hour deals and excellent service!“

“The food was really delicious, and I couldn’t believe how much you get for the price. It’s surprising for Austin. And the ambiance was very cute… lots of twinkly lights inside, which made me think it’d be a good place for a sweet, but not too formal date. I definitely want to come back and try other dishes. “This is a great restaurant with delicious food and wonderful wine choices. However, I left hungry...:( My daughter and I got 4 dishes which included an entree but it wasn't enough. We got a few vegetable sides which cost about $15 each and the little bowls were about 3" wide. They were delicious but only had a few bites. I guess I don't understand why the "buzzier" the restaurant is, the smaller the portions...? I know that the restaurant business is difficult, but I wonder if there is another model that provides enough food and still maintains excellent quality (that this restaurant clearly has).“
