He was incredibly knowledgeable and made our experience unforgettable. Now the food, 100000/10. Literally everything was delicious. Crab fried rice was so light and tasty, I see why it's so popular. “Exceptional omakase. One of my favorite restaurants in Austin. The chef is extremely personable and kind. Made me feel incredible comfortable throughout the whole experience. My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. The food itself was absolutely delicious. Every single nigiri was exceptional, with wonderful rice texture. The fish itself was always excellent quality and the sauces lightly coated on each fish were excellently paired with the flavor profile of the fish itself. Drinks: I did the sake pairing which had two options, a standard pairing for $80 iirc, and prestige pairing for $100. I did the pairing for $100. It was outstanding. My friend opted to do the prestige wine pairing ($110); she thoroughly enjoyed that pairing, as well. After the 22 courses, we went back the bar/lounge area and opted to finish our night with a glass of or Born Gold sake. The service team was incredible throughout the meal. Their presence was very low-key, but they were informative and really kind. Will absolutely be returning in the future.“

“We love to eat, and love food. Simply put, our anniversary dinner at Ember was absolutely a Top 3 dining experience in our 26 years of marriage! The only thing that topped it was a one-off dinner at The James Beard House we were lucky enough to be a part of...and that is saying a LOT to just barely be runner-up to that! Not only was the food simply incredible (we had filet skewers, the seafood plate, and the mole pork chop...with roasted carrots and the potatoes as sides, and the flan for dessert) but it was the best service we've ever received. Not just from our server but the entire staff from chefs to managers to bartenders. Not only do you get an incredibly attentive server, the entire restaurant staff seems attentive to your needs. To go deeper on what makes Ember so special, they cook nearly everything in a Mesquite coal Josper oven which is unique to ATX. It gives a distinct smoke to everything, but in no way overpowering. The culinary team at Ember then highlights the Josper with both incredibly complex dishes (pork chop with handmade mole that is as deep, rich, complex, and paired with sweetness via a sweet potato with honey drizzle and brightness of fresh citrus and absolute umami bombs via picked / brined tomatoes) and the most "simple" of dishes (crispy roasted yukon and red bliss potatoes with garlic, shallot, tossed in tallow...simply amazing and must have) everything is constructed and executed perfectly. Whether a special occasion or just a random Wednesday, this is one of the best restaurant experiences anywhere. Huge thanks to the staff at Ember for making our special night super memorable.“

We came in for the happy hour menu and left planning our next visit. The crab and andouille hush puppies were outstanding — worth ordering even at full price — and Bill’s Burger absolutely delivered. Emily behind the bar was fantastic: sharp, friendly, and clearly good at what she does.

Great food, great value, great service. Downtown Austin has no shortage of options, but this one’s earned a spot in the rotation. Five stars.“

“PERFECT!!! That's what describes last night's experience at Bartlett's. My wife ordered the Fish and Shrimp with a small Caesar salad and I got their Famous French Dip sandwich. “Had an amazing experience for our Wedding Anniversary. We had a 9pm reservation. Since our bar reservation wasn’t immediately available, they offered us a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. Then the wait staff offered us another option upstairs since it would be available prior to our bar reservation (which was preferred but not initially available when I made the reservation). Our waiter Forrest was Amazing and explained everything very well. The drinks, bruschetta with prime steak trimmings, main course (NY Strip w/bone), tagliolini w/fresh blue crab, gem Caesar salad, Tiramisu and Gelati (salted caramel) were all AMAZING. Had a memorable moment with my wife and greatly was appreciated! Also the staff had a signed Happy Anniversary Card at the table upon our arrival.“

“I saw The Shore on my Google map and clicked on the link. I saw their Happy Hour Menu and noticed they had 1/2 price Oysters and several other choices. We decided to stop there on our way back home. We got there at 3:30 and found that they would not open until 4 pm due to an earlier water leak. We asked if we could just sit at the bar until they opened because we really wanted to have oysters for our anniversary. The manager said since we were wanting oysters we could sit at the bar and get drinks and the oysters. Chef Cody explained all the different oysters offered and we decided to let him choose the oysters and we were not disappointed . He chose the gulf coast, summer time, Black moon and pink moon. All the options were fresh tasting with just a touch of saltiness . We also had the mussels with fries. We have not had mussels this good in a very long time. the broth was thick with butter, wine and capers. The grilled ciabatta bread was so buttery and crispy we ordered additional pieces. The calamari was lightly breaded rings and tentacles and were heavenly. We also tried the Hi Mexican Lager on tap, it was light and smooth. Our bartender was very sweet and helpful with our choices. We also would like to thank the manager who being so accommodating to us and making our 42nd anniversary so special. We will definitely stop there again!!!!!“

“I went here with my kids. I was seated in a section with another family that had small children, so I felt more comfortable when my little ones would make noise. My kids' meals were ready before mine and my server brought them out right away so they didn't have to wait as long. I ordered the Cajun salmon and it was excellent. “We’d hoped to go to Mozarts next door but it was sold out for Christmas Lights. We decided to try Quince since we had spent time getting there and parking. We asked if we could sit near the water and they took us to a table one row away (the rest was booked). Happy Hour was almost over but our waiter Baddi said we had enough time to order. He recommended a margarita/sangria mix which was yummy. We ordered the HH brisket fries and Tuna Wontons. Everything was delicious and Baddi’s service was excellent. At one point the music got really loud, which started to annoy us, till we looked out over the water and a slack rope walker was performing over the water. It was quite a show! He later did the same thing over one of their outdoor decks on the other side. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and were surprised so few of the indoor seats were full. If they opened their door and made it more welcoming, we thought a lot more people would have come over as the outside areas were packed for the lights.“

“Soupleaf is one of the best hot pots around. Delicious broths with veggie/vegan options, tons of veggies and noodles AYCE style, and availability for included AYCE seafood at the bar, plus meats they bring out to you (if you’re into that). Unlimited sauce bar, rice, noodles…everything is included. They also have fruit and soft serve for dessert. You can top off your broth with a different variety where most other places will charge you extra for a different broth flavor. I also love that they have a different price point for their “Sealeaf” if you just want veggies and foods from the AYCE bar without any meat. Very vegan/vegetarian friendly place, but I’ve also brought meat eaters and watched them rub their full belly while rolling out the door. Great value, taste, variety of fresh ingredients, a consistently good experience.“

First, a few fun decorations on the table, some great service by the lone bar tender (I think his name was Ralph!), who was amazing even on his own. After we ate, to my great surprise a cake appeared, beautifully decorated with her name - what an amazing thing to do for someone who has survived 80 years! To chef, Ken it was delicious. And to Nicholas Hoetzel, managing partner, our thanks for graciously offering to hold the cake till we attended a great show at Parker Jazz Club. Outstanding in every aspect, thank you so much.“

“I recommend everything. I’m at the one at I-35 and 290 in Austin Texas. I used to come all the time back in 2008 when I lived here. To my surprise on a work trip it was next door to the hotel. I’ve since developed Gluten allergies and my undying craving for crawfish was being disappointed until the very sweet bartender said we can work with this. Let’s find some options and I’ll get the manager and figure it out. The result was awesome!! Sautéed in butter and seasoning with a baked potato. Fantastic! Help from the bartender the manager and kitchen saved the day!!!! Craving well satisfied. I can’t recommend enough. Great food. Amazing staff, beautiful ambience.. excellent experience.
