“The food was absolutely delicious. I had Poke in Hawaii recently and this was as good as what I had. The choices are quite varied and the Ahi tuna, salmon, and fish was very tasty. All the toppings were fresh and quite a variety. The server was very helpful in answering questions and with recommendations. My bowl was fresh, sweet and crunchy. My brother had a spicier version and he enjoyed his selection. I am visiting and I hope to revisit it or find one near my home. We sat outside and enjoyed the spring day.“

“I swung by Terry Black’s this morning to pick up a big order of barbecue to take to friends in California, because they need to know what the very best barbecue in Texas tastes like. ❤️⁣ ⁣ Chad, Sharon, and Kait were so helpful behind the counter, making sure everything was wrapped perfectly for a travel cooler and ready to survive a flight, complete with reheating instructions for when it arrived.⁣ ⁣ What really stood out, though, was the hospitality. They took the time to visit with me, answered all of my questions, and made the whole experience feel personal instead of rushed. We ended up having some great conversations, and they even let us sample a few things before we decided exactly what to order.⁣ ⁣ The food is phenomenal, but the people are what make you want to come back. Texas barbecue is about more than brisket, it’s about generosity and making people feel welcome, and this team absolutely nailed it. “Just completed a tour of the Central Texas Barbecue Scene. Visited Snow's BBQ-Lexington, Louie Mueller-Taylor, Kreus Market, Smitty's and Black's-Lockhart, The Salt Lick- Driftwood and Franklin's in Austin. It was great seeing the venues and the family history at these historic sites. I visited Franklin's in the past and felt it was the best brisket I had ever eaten in my life. I am a skeptic when it comes to famous barbecue joints. I must say that Franklin's BBQ was far superior to all of the restaurants I visited with no one even a close second. Aaron's attention to detail from the service, choice of briskets, the cook, the wrap, the holding and even the slicing of the final product is evident in every aspect of his trade. I was lucky enough to run into him at the restaurant and he happily talked BBQ with me. Franklin's may not have the long history of muti-generational BBQ in Central Texas, but he has figured it all out at a level that I have yet to see equaled by the best venues in the country. This is a bucket list restaurant for those who really enjoy BBQ. It is well worth the wait in line“

“I reserved online for my daughter’s birthday and got into town an hour earlier and they still were able to accommodate us. At the table with the menus was a birthday card with a really nice and meaningful note on the inside. Staff, drinks, and food were amazing! Definitely recommend checking this place out.“

They have some of the best customer service we’ve experienced, felt from the moment you walk through the door to the time you get up to leave. Each of the server’s recommendations were delicious, especially the pretzel biscuits!

We came with our, admittedly anxious, pup. Every member of staff who interacted with her was warm and kind, and it really touched us that despite her barks they remained patient.“

We tried a few different tacos, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and served quickly. The portions were satisfying, and there wasn't much left on the tray by the end of the meal. Between the tasty food, positive atmosphere, and friendly staff, it was exactly the kind of experience we were hoping for.
