“The food was absolutely delicious. I had Poke in Hawaii recently and this was as good as what I had. The choices are quite varied and the Ahi tuna, salmon, and fish was very tasty. All the toppings were fresh and quite a variety. The server was very helpful in answering questions and with recommendations. My bowl was fresh, sweet and crunchy. My brother had a spicier version and he enjoyed his selection. I am visiting and I hope to revisit it or find one near my home. We sat outside and enjoyed the spring day.“

“I would like to respectfully start with; I’ve been to Uchi multiple times over the years and will never forget my first experience (which will always be the best in my mind.) Chance, our server was attentive, knowledgeable, easy going, brought some of the best plates when we asked “bring us what you like/anything you think we missed” literally 12/10 would recommend. “I swung by Terry Black’s this morning to pick up a big order of barbecue to take to friends in California, because they need to know what the very best barbecue in Texas tastes like. ❤️⁣ ⁣ Chad, Sharon, and Kait were so helpful behind the counter, making sure everything was wrapped perfectly for a travel cooler and ready to survive a flight, complete with reheating instructions for when it arrived.⁣ ⁣ What really stood out, though, was the hospitality. They took the time to visit with me, answered all of my questions, and made the whole experience feel personal instead of rushed. We ended up having some great conversations, and they even let us sample a few things before we decided exactly what to order.⁣ ⁣ The food is phenomenal, but the people are what make you want to come back. Texas barbecue is about more than brisket, it’s about generosity and making people feel welcome, and this team absolutely nailed it. “Just completed a tour of the Central Texas Barbecue Scene. Visited Snow's BBQ-Lexington, Louie Mueller-Taylor, Kreus Market, Smitty's and Black's-Lockhart, The Salt Lick- Driftwood and Franklin's in Austin. It was great seeing the venues and the family history at these historic sites. I visited Franklin's in the past and felt it was the best brisket I had ever eaten in my life. I am a skeptic when it comes to famous barbecue joints. I must say that Franklin's BBQ was far superior to all of the restaurants I visited with no one even a close second. Aaron's attention to detail from the service, choice of briskets, the cook, the wrap, the holding and even the slicing of the final product is evident in every aspect of his trade. I was lucky enough to run into him at the restaurant and he happily talked BBQ with me. Franklin's may not have the long history of muti-generational BBQ in Central Texas, but he has figured it all out at a level that I have yet to see equaled by the best venues in the country. This is a bucket list restaurant for those who really enjoy BBQ. It is well worth the wait in line“

They have some of the best customer service we’ve experienced, felt from the moment you walk through the door to the time you get up to leave. Each of the server’s recommendations were delicious, especially the pretzel biscuits!

We came with our, admittedly anxious, pup. Every member of staff who interacted with her was warm and kind, and it really touched us that despite her barks they remained patient.“

“WOW OH WOW. first, best vegan food i’ve had ever. my partner and i travel and try spots out often but let me tell you this is SOUL FOOD. second, Marlon hopped out when we were reviewing the menu and gave us insight to the INCREDIBLE intentional and sacred energy they craft into this refreshing, unique, and delicious food. third, every staff member had the best vibe it felt like family. food came out quick and the portions are perfect. i legitimately would move to Austin just to eat here frequently. the beer battered cauliflower was incredible: sauceyyy, spicy, tangy, savory. i couldn’t put it down. fries are absolutely perfect. the dime bag lions mane wings were healing for the body and mind. if i didn’t miss a perfectly fried “wing”. we also got the oysters and they were just as divine. it is the perfect nostalgia to good ol fried happiness. absolutely what an unforgettable and incredible experience. kindness, passion, and love radiate from these amazing folks and through their nourishing food. you can tell they are truly here for the community. most amazing food experience. 100% recommend for ALL people who love good classic southern food. 🌱🌞 ALSO we loved our experience so much we purchased a round 2 to-go to eat later after our evening with friends. *approximately 9 hours later* we put the cauliflower patty in the oven with the fries at 250• for 20 +/- minutes (no toppings just patty and fries) then after that time passes, turned broiler to high setting for 5-10 minutes throwing the bun in the tray (no pickles, tomato, or cabbage) then we rebuilt the sandwich and it was incredible!!!! fries and sandwich tasted just as awesome as the first round (round two wings didn’t make it home😉). 💗✨“
