“First subway I've been to in a good while where they were staffed adequately, the employees didn't look over stimulated or over worked, freaking out like other subways, it was clean, looks like they got a 100 on their inspection, super pleasant surprise on this side of town, they didn't skimp out on me when I asked for black olives, which subway usually does lol, and the service was fast. “I have to say I was really happy when I found the subway in side this circle k or valeros whatever the hell you want to call. I'm not just saying this because mine wife also works there but she's at the cashier box Not at Subway. sandwiches are actually really good the bread is always soft not hard like the other subways around here. meatball sandwich is really good just ask for it with lights marinara on it with white American cheese toasted really really the lady that works in the mornings and lunch is really nice“

“Some younger girls were making my sandwich and they didn’t have the meatballs, but they more than made up for it with their service and gave me lots of suggestions for a substitute. Ended up, laughing with them and they turned around my attitude. Because at the end of the day, it’s just a sandwich and they were doing their best and I came nearly at closing time.“

My only consistent complaint with the Lytle location is that the ice machine for the fountain sodas has been broken for awhile...more than 6 months if not a year. Whenever we ask, the manager is always across the street at HEB getting ice.“

“The food is ok at best, my family and I ate there this last weekend as a quick stop. We dined in to ensure the freshness of the food would be hot. What we thought would be a great meal turned out to be something that we were all left wanting something else. None of us finished our meal for many reasons. The juice soaked through the buns so fast that it became a soggy mess that actually would have been better off eating with a fork. I asked for no lettuce or tomatoes on mine and got lettuce and no pickles.The flavor of normal was way off on the fries like the oil had not be changed in a good while. There was an overwhelming smell of burnt food at the counter when ordering that was a bit of a turnoff as well which may have caused the partial loss of appetite. Top all of that off with folks taking your order consistently clearing their throat to the point you could hear the congestion really set things off for us. To make things even better, none of the fountain drinks were working and we were stuck to having the lemonade. But as a side note, the lemonade is likely the best thing at this location!“

“I went out of my way from home to go here because they are open late. The 3 young staff members were all very nice . Good manners. Even when I called to see their hours the young man had a very nice tone. Got there and was greeted nicely and got attended right away. Many customers were walking in and it was closing hour and not any staff member had a rude gesture over it. They are all very pleasant and when I got home the sandwiches tasted great. Good cookies too. I will keep this subway in mind next time I want a sandwich late at night“
