“The food is ok at best, my family and I ate there this last weekend as a quick stop. We dined in to ensure the freshness of the food would be hot. What we thought would be a great meal turned out to be something that we were all left wanting something else. None of us finished our meal for many reasons. The juice soaked through the buns so fast that it became a soggy mess that actually would have been better off eating with a fork. I asked for no lettuce or tomatoes on mine and got lettuce and no pickles.The flavor of normal was way off on the fries like the oil had not be changed in a good while. There was an overwhelming smell of burnt food at the counter when ordering that was a bit of a turnoff as well which may have caused the partial loss of appetite. Top all of that off with folks taking your order consistently clearing their throat to the point you could hear the congestion really set things off for us. To make things even better, none of the fountain drinks were working and we were stuck to having the lemonade. But as a side note, the lemonade is likely the best thing at this location!“

“I got the Pooh Bear sandwich and it was delicious. I’m already thinking about the next time I can get one. This place is very cozy and homey. The service was incredible . Jeremiah customer service was excellent. He was kind and welcoming. And you could tell he loves what he does. I can not wait to come back and get another Pooh bear. “My aunt and I were pleasantly surprised at the 2 young men operating this sandwich shop. These two guys were all about customer service ,from making our sandwiches, exactly how we requested to even asking us if we needed to use the restrooms before they were going to be closed for cleaning temporarily. I have never experienced that anywhere. Wish I would have got their names so I could've mentioned them here.Either way these two young men have set a new standard for subways , in my opinion. “I am a Stage 4 Kidney Cancer fighter who has lost both kidneys because of my battle. Now I am on dialysis there is not much out there that fits the renal diet. After dialysis I’m starving and have to watch out for phosphorus, potassium, sodium and fluid intake. With some research I found out that Jersey Mike’s Roast Beef is made fresh and low in both sodium and phosphorus. Ask for no cheese, tomatoes, or salt and you have yourself a delicious renal friendly winner. I started craving these subs after my dialysis sessions and the staff started to recognize my wife and I. With big smiles they would greet us at the door “Hi! #6 no cheese, no tomatoes, no salt” and stat making my sandwich before we even got in line. We feel so special there. My wife loves Jersey Mike’s too so she’ll get a #13 here and there. But the service and quality is by the best I’ve ever experienced.“

“First time here, stopped in with my newborn while running errands. Asked for a recommendation and he suggested the turkey sandwich and French onion, both excellent. It’s always a good sign when you can look over the ingredients and everything appears stocked and ready to go. My sandwich was made the way I requested, and the portions were good. The bread was fresh, the toppings were evenly distributed, and the sandwich was put together neatly instead of everything falling out after the first bite.

The staff also contributed to the positive experience. They were friendly, helpful, and seemed to know what they were doing. Nobody made me feel rushed while I was deciding what I wanted, but the service was still efficient enough that I wasn’t standing around waiting forever. That balance is important, especially at a quick-service restaurant. A friendly employee can really change the entire experience.

Another thing I like about Subway is the variety. Whether you want something simple, something loaded with toppings, a salad, or a lighter meal, there are plenty of options. It’s also convenient when you’re with other people who all want different things because everyone can customize their order individually.

The food itself was satisfying and exactly what I was looking for. It was a nice option when I wanted something quick without feeling like I was just grabbing a random meal. I enjoyed being able to choose everything that went into my sandwich and have it prepared fresh while I waited.

Overall, I had a very positive experience at this Subway. The restaurant was clean, the ingredients looked fresh, the food was good, and the service was friendly and efficient. “I ordered the Hook and Ladder and a cup of the chicken and dumping soup. The credit card machines were down so I waited a few minutes in hopes that they would come back up, but they did not. I went ahead and ordered and paid cash instead. The food was very good. The service, however was sub-par at best. None of the employees seemed like they were in a good mood. “We tend to eat Club Sandwiches every time we eat out at Restaurants. So, we have tasted many different varieties of Club Sandwiches. We were pleasantly surprised to sample the Texas Club Sandwiches at Vero Cafe in the Historic Market Square in San Antonio. Their Club Sandwiches are EXCEPTIONALLY DELICIOUS. It was the hot honey dorito nachos.
My 80yr.old father wanted to try it.
Stephanie was so kind on the phone that I wanted to make sure that she was there when I ordered mine.

Yes, the sandwiches are consistently delicious, the restaurant is always clean, and the staff is friendly and welcoming—but what makes this location truly special is the way they support our San Antonio community.

Rob Thomas went above and beyond to support more than 100 Boy Scouts who were working in the pouring rain on a major service project benefiting our veterans at VFW Post 8541. That kind of generosity and community spirit says so much about the people behind a business.

It is easy to leave a review when the food is good—and it absolutely is—but I think it is even more important to recognize businesses that choose to give back.

“I love subway, by far one of the best deli franchises in town. They truly live up to their slogan, “Subway, eat fresh!”

This particular subway is interesting, the store is always clean and they’re always stocked on items. I spend a lot of my work lunches here when I’m in the area, so I pay attention to those things

The atmosphere is nice and cozy, and the customer service is pretty great too!

All the workers are super cool except this one guy in the morning, bald guy with a beard, kind of short; always giving me a MAJOR attitude which in turn sours my mood. I hate when he takes my order, I always try to get the other guy to do it; the other guy is super cool.

Anyways the food is pretty good, and I love their selection of chips and drinks, the teas are always fresh as well as their soups and meatballs.

Personal recommendation of mine is to TOAST YOUR VEGGIES with your sandwich (Spinach, bell peppers, olives, and onions are preferred) it’s a game changer on those sandwiches.

All in all, I like having a sandwich during my lunch breaks here and recommend to anyone. The Subway app also has some cool deals and promos so that’s a huge plus as well, definitely get the app if you haven’t already.

Parking is pretty difficult since it’s a shared public lot so be on the lookout there.
