She and her staff were friendly, they served us hearty portions of the value package meal we had ordered, the tea was fantastic not overly sweet and not too sour. Well made tea. Oh and that inhouse made sauce omgoodness it was delicious I skipped out on the bbq sauce and just had me that sauce Lol! “I didn't personally go inside. We had our dogs with us. Hubby had seen this place on his routes while delivering goods. I apologize I didn't take pictures. Hubby wanted to stop and try it so he did he purchased a brisket bowl. And a separate plate with brisket sausage and a side. I tasted a little bit of it was all alright. I'm, not about all that BBQ brisket meats. Hubby said that it was bigger and nicer inside than it looked outside. Outside looks like a warehouse. Oh, plus they have the meat for purchase so you can cook your own.“

“First time I have been there in about 30 years, used to go weekly because it was a solid meal for a good price. Service is not as good anymore, you have to order at the counter and then wait at a table for your name to be called. It used to be a fast cafeteria. Some of the tables had crumbs on them, but they had the Help Wanted sign displayed, so I think they are trying to address the problem. One worker said they only pay $15/hour to start, that is probably part of the problem. Brisket was good, but as always the portion was small. Nice condiment bar that I enjoyed. Menu has expanded since I was last there, maybe the service is slow because there are too many menu items to deal with? I noticed they are serving holiday takeout meals again this year, which I have done in the past with success. It is a unique Texas place that is a step above fast food, but less than a full service restaurant if you want to save money and have a few extra minutes.“
