“We had such a special experience tonight at Acre 41 in Austin! By pure coincidence, we were seated at the exact same table we had during our last visit, and to our surprise, our server was Lexie again! She immediately recognized us, and of course we recognized her too.

Ten months ago when we first met Lexie, it was actually her first day serving at Acre 41. She was already fantastic then, but seeing her tonight it’s clear she’s absolutely thriving. Lexie brings so much joy, positive energy, and genuine hospitality to her work. She made our evening feel personal and memorable all over again.

Dinner was phenomenal. I was lucky enough to get the last slice of the incredibly popular Prime Rib, which was outstanding. We also had the Caesar salad and the elote, both just as delicious as we remembered. And of course, there was no way we were leaving without the bread pudding! It’s simply too good to skip and absolutely lives up to the hype.

Acre 41 continues to impress with incredible food, a beautiful atmosphere, and a team that clearly takes pride in creating a great guest experience. And Lexie is a huge part of that. We are so thankful we got to see her again and experience her amazing service.

I’ve been here before with my family so I knew the food was incredible but our server John’s recommendations and commitment to us having a great dining experience was what made our night. I’ve worked in upscale dining for many years and I always strive to be like him for our guests! I know I already said I wasn’t surprised by the food being good- but my boyfriend ordered the redfish (one of the more expensive dishes at $38 dollars) and was completely blown away! I've now visited twice. I really enjoyed the seasoned thick cut square fries. The burger is great, with all the standards. No additional special flavoring. Just a larger smash style patty.
Second go around I learned their signature sauce is mustard based. Personally, I'm not a mustard fan so I skipped this option. I found it to have a bit of that sharp overpowering mustard flavor. I'd rather taste the meat and complimentary flavors. The veggies are decent and the bun is good. Pretty solid burger. My favorite for reference Is the Culver's style smash style butter burger. I like that little bit of near burned butter flavor in the meat this burger lacks. Still a great choice. Especially if you want to do a quick pitch and putt round at Butler. Just on the other side of Auditorium Shores off of Lamar. Note: Drinks are at the pro shop, might want to bring your own as choices are somewhat limited.“

“Great find. Frankly, we just needed a lunch place near the Hilton Garden Inn in d/t Austin for some out of town folks & it did the job.

While I wouldn’t get the tuna tartare again, the rest was great for regular American fare. For $22, I can probably make 3 servings. The waitress was amazing. Sorry I forgot her name & the ambience was solid.“

NO ambience mid service (saw waitress maybe 2x she disappeared often. Wtf did i pay for?? food was NO BETTER than Dennys or IHOP I promise you!!! $22 for 3 paper thin pancakes is crazy. I don't get to do brunch often. I want my money back. this sucked and I HIGHLY don't recommend it. no atmosphere. why would yall do that work at 1pm on a Saturday??? TRULY smelled like sewage. never coming back seriously don't go. no wonder we walked in with no reservation. I think they have fake reviews too.“

“My wife and I travel frequently to Austin and have for a number of years. With two of our children here, we have dined out at many of Austin's finest restaurants. I am a partner in a number of businesses in Sonoma County, California, including golf courses, theaters and a restaurant. I am rarely motivated to write a restaurant review, particularly a glowing review. My wife found Oz. Tap House online and it was very close to our hotel. My personal experience with tap houses is that they have great beer, but mediocre food and generally less than mediocre service. I went online and looked at the menu, still not particularly enthusiastic. But I decided to place a dinner order for my wife and I and was immediately blown away by the online ordering system. Virtually every menu item can be custom ordered in a dizzying variety of ways. I even remarked to my wife that it was the finest online ordering software that I had ever seen. But ordering is one thing and execution is another. My wife ordered the Oz. House Burger (Beef), cooked medium, substituting lettuce wrap for the bun and adding avocado with a small avocado jalapeno side salad. Again, the customization options were many. I ordered the Charcuterie Pretzel and a Side Caesar Salad, with no croutons. I knew the restaurant was only a couple of minute drive, but even then the speed of the announcement of the projected pickup time and the time itself was amazing; less than 15 minutes. When I picked up the meals at curbside, I told the waitress how impressed I had been with the online ordering system and she thanked me and told me she would have to tell her husband. Turns out Krista and her husband, Sean, own and operate the restaurant. I had assumed with the level of sophistication that it must be a franchise or chain, but no, Oz. is a true mom and pop restaurant. When leaving I told Krista that the proof would be in (i) whether the delivered food matched the order and (ii) the quality of the food. I had barely started eating when my wife announced that her salad was spectacular and the burger one of the best she had ever had. My meal was every bit as impressive. Again, uncharacteristically for me, I called Krista (even though the restaurant was hopping and I knew she was busy), just to tell her that the food was as good or better than the service. This is as advertised: true farm-to-market fare, exceedingly fresh, expertly prepared as ordered and quickly delivered. Yes, Oz. may not have McDonald's prices, but it has infinitely superior food, expertly prepared and efficiently delivered. We admittedly didn't even try what was probably the standout feature of the restaurant: the beer. I assume if the restaurant part of the tap house was spectacular, the beer side of it must be even more so. Next time. Do yourself a favor and try the Oz. Tap House.
