“We tried out this little gem today and were absolutely not disappointed. They were celebrating their 7th anniversary with a buffet, which meant we got to sample a little bit of everything—and every single bite was delicious. My favorite by far was the brisket lasagna. Hands down the best lasagna I’ve ever had, and it’s only served on Friday nights. If you love BBQ, skip the big-name spots and make the trip to downtown Wylie instead. Bold BBQ Pit will not disappoint.“

“We were recommended here by a dear friend. It was for our son's wedding. We tasted first, talked with him second, & hired him third! Some of the BEST BBQ around. We served up 50, & had none left over. DEFINITELY worth the reasonable catering price!“

“We ordered a variety of the items because we were having trouble deciding what sounded best.

Ordering was fairly easy thru the True Texas BBQ app to pickup in the drive-thru. The order was ready on-time & brought out curbside to avoid having to wait in the line. 😏 super sweet worker on the drive thru speaker & brought out to my car (not sure if the same person)

Everything was still hot even after driving back home to Rowlett after pickup.

The portions were decent overall but especially good on the Loaded Brisket Chili dippers. HEB’s queso blanco is TOP TIER! I’ll make sure it’s on my regular shopping list going forward. 😋

The Texas-sized Pulled Pork sandwich was hefty & packed with flavor. Our kiddo loved the pickles and insists we will only be buying HEB pickles from now on. 😆

Brisket Birria Ramen should be a regular menu item versus limited time. I’ll be sad when it’s gone. So good, flavorful, a little kick of spice, and filling for the two of us that ate it. (We were a little skeptical/worried it would be a lot smaller but pleased with the container size)

Finally, we got the 2-meat plate with chopped brisket & poblano queso sausage. The sausage was 🔥🔥🔥 - Highly Recommend that!!

The sides we chose for the 2-meat plate were the potato salad & coleslaw. Potato salad was very tasty & the coleslaw was different but still delightfully good. I look forward to trying the other sides for future visits.

I wouldn’t say the brisket is the best I’ve ever had, however, it is very flavorful & did not disappoint. It tastes great in the brisket chili. And I would like to try it unsauced in the future to get a more “accurate” feel on how I really feel about it. I’m very picky about bbq sauces if/when I decide to use it so the brisket being sauced may be hindering my thoughts a little there.

The variety of choices we made cost less than a family pack & easily fed a family of 4 getting to try multiple menu offerings. Will definitely have again.“

Absolutely hands down the best food I’ve eaten in Texas so far! I’m already planning to spend my birthdays here for years to come if all goes to plan. The staff are exceptionally kind, the cooks nailed the meat perfectly … especially the moist tenderloin. 😋🤤 Out of this world! Their hot BBQ sauce is worth every penny if you can grab the big bottle.

We came on a Sunday after church and still found plenty of seating, even a party room in the back. As a carpenter, I appreciated the gorgeous handmade tables… solid wood, 🪵 sturdy, and beautifully finished. The atmosphere was welcoming for my big family, and the staff at the register even let me sample meats before ordering. Once I tried the ham 🐷🐖🐽 and then the moist tenderloin (like filet mignon! 🥩), I was sold.

Better than Hardee’s, twice the food for half the price,💲 and no long lines. Nearly as spacious as Buc-ee’s, with plenty of room to enjoy. Truly heaven sent food… 🥩🍗

However, I did try the seafood boil once, and unfortunately, the ingredients did not seem fresh. It’s possible this item isn’t ordered frequently and may not be rotated as often as others.

Service could be more attentive. For example, I typically have to request water refills and ask for the check. That said, it may be reflective of the general service style in this area, which resembles a Chinatown-style dining environment.

I visit this restaurant three to four times a month, and my favorite part is their dessert they are consistently excellent.“

I got a plate today on Easter with smothered chicken, dressing, mac-n-cheese, and cranberry sauce……tastes amazing! I also got my husband the pork chops. Everything is delicious!“

“Consistently hits the spot for a quick takeout option. The honey garlic wings are always the go to order for the wife and I, and one order is perfect for a quick meal to take back home.

They’ve always came out very consistent taste wise, and never had an issue with ordering or delays so far. Perfect option to bring back home and pair with some rice, veggies, and maybe even a beer.

“Great atmosphere, best barbecue I’ve had in forever“

“First time here and my friend recommended the Spicy Pork Ribs. We informed the waitress when we ordered to make them as spicy as possible. I tend to be an extreme pepper-head. The waitress brought me my lunch and I tasted. There literally was no spice to me whatsoever. She took them back to the kitchen and in a short time brought them back out. Now there was some nice spice but on a Thai spice scale, maybe a 2!!!
The waitress told me to wait just a moment and came back with a ‘secret sauce’ that made the edges of my tongue numb. Oh! I’m talking in a fantasy world way that one only dreams of!!!
